As Blade withdrew with the Titans, the members of the Justice League stood around Batman, all sharing the same unspoken question.
Superman, still hovering in the air, locked eyes with Batman and asked seriously:
"Who is that guy? I've never seen him before, but it's obvious he's not just some random fighter."
Batman took a moment before answering in a calm voice:
"His name is Blade… or at least, that's the name he goes by."
He glanced in the direction where Blade had disappeared before continuing:
"Skilled fighter. Fast learner. Possesses an extreme healing factor that makes him nearly impossible to take down. And—"
Flash cut in, leaning on Superman's shoulder with a smirk:
"—and he roasts everyone like he's doing a stand-up special? 'Cause honestly, I don't know if he was fighting or performing!"
Batman ignored the remark and continued in a more serious tone:
"I'll explain everything in our next meeting… This man is not just some random brawler. He might be a threat… or—"
He paused, staring into the distance, as if carefully choosing his next words.
"…Something else."
Adjusting his utility belt, he turned away, signaling for everyone to get back to work.
"For now… let's get back to our missions."
As the Justice League exchanged glances, it was clear they all shared the same curiosity…
Who was Blade, really? And would he show up again?
—
The Titans' ship returned to their base at full speed, and the moment they landed—
Cyborg rocketed toward the server room, yelling furiously:
"IF I FIND ONE DROP OF CHEESE ON MY SERVER, I SWEAR TO GOD, BLADE—I'M TURNING YOU INTO A TOASTER!!!"
The rest of the team disembarked more calmly, each processing the events in their own way.
Robin was still analyzing everything, Beast Boy was laughing as he mimicked Blade's antics, and Starfire hovered nearby, watching Blade with open curiosity—clearly still wondering why his eye was blind.
And Blade?
As always… he had one thing on his mind.
He casually strolled up to Raven, who was walking quietly, and leaned in slightly, speaking in his signature tone—
"You know, Raven… throughout all that fighting, all that chaos… there was just one thing on my mind…"
Raven didn't even look at him. She simply said in a cold tone:
"If you say 'your beautiful eyes, Raven,' I will send you to a dimension so deep even your healing factor won't get you out of it."
Blade clutched his chest dramatically, as if she had just stabbed him.
"Ooooh! Right in the heart, Gray Emotions Girl! But no, no, I was going to say something much deeper than that…"
Raven finally turned to him, raising an eyebrow as if daring him.
"Alright… surprise me."
Blade smirked mischievously, leaned in closer, and whispered in a deep, alluring voice:
"I was thinking… how the moonlight tonight seems dull compared to your mysterious charm, and how every moment I spend near you makes the whole world fade away… leaving only the sound of your mesmerizing voice whispering in my ear…"
Raven stared at him in silence. Five seconds… ten seconds…
Then she closed her eyes, raised her hand—
And immediately sent Blade straight into a dark dimension.
A moment of silence filled the room.
Then, a dark portal ripped open, and Blade stepped back through, dusting off his already torn-up clothes as if nothing happened.
"Ooooh, so that dimension was the 'friend zone'? Damn, Raven, that's harsh! Harsh!"
Beast Boy burst out laughing. "Duuude, you gotta be like a snake around Raven—take the hits, but in the end, you'll get her love!"
Blade raised an eyebrow over his glowing blue eye and grinned.
"Sooo… you're telling me she's into torture? Man, I can't die. That means… I can keep going forever!"
Starfire tried to stifle her giggles, while Robin just put a hand over his face, struggling to understand how anyone could be this persistent.
As for Raven?
She smiled faintly to herself as she walked away, whispering under her breath:
"Why does he always know how to make me smile…?"
Finally, everyone headed to their rooms. It had been a long night—full of chaos, fighting, and, of course, Blade's endless sarcasm.
Blade entered his room, shut the door behind him, then flopped onto his bed with a lazy sigh.
"Ahhh… finally. Time to rest after a long day of mockery, mayhem, and proving that I am the most annoying person alive!"
But just before he could close his eyes—
Suddenly…
Cyborg's face popped up on his computer screen, scowling, his digital eyes burning with pure electronic rage.
"WHERE. IS. THE PIZZA?!"
Blade smirked mischievously, slowly turning over on his bed and looking at the screen as if he had been waiting for this question all day. Then, in his usual style, he winked and said:
"Oh, Cyborg… the pizza? The pizza never existed… It was merely an illusion, a mirage, a fleeting thought carried by the wind… But! What was at stake today was not just a mere piece of dough covered in cheese, no, no—far greater things were on the line!"
Cyborg narrowed his eyes in confusion. "What?"
Blade stood up on his bed, placed his hands on his hips, and took a deep breath before dramatically declaring:
"It was… DIGNITY! My dignity, your dignity, Batman's dignity, the dignity of noble combat! And most importantly, the dignity of the wedding you're going to have with me, my dear husband! We had to protect it at all costs! Do you understand that, my magnificent robotic friend?!"
Cyborg stared at him for a few moments before replying in a flat tone:
"…So, there's no pizza?"
Blade grinned wickedly. "Nope! But we have something far more valuable… we have an amazing story to tell!"
Cyborg didn't say anything. He just took a deep breath, pressed a button on his device—
And ended the call.
Blade, laughing to himself, shut off his computer, flopped back onto his bed, and pulled his blanket over himself.
"Ahhh… another day of greatness, another day of sarcasm, another day of pissing everyone off… Life is beautiful."
With a satisfied smile on his face, he drifted off to sleep, ready for another day of pure chaos.
—
Meanwhile, in his own room, Cyborg sat back, still annoyed by the fake pizza, but unable to stop thinking about Blade's words.
"Dignity… noble combat… protecting something more valuable than just victory."
He replayed the fight in his mind—how Blade kept going, how he adapted to Batman's moves so quickly, and how, despite gaining the upper hand in the end… he chose to stop.
He wasn't actually exhausted. He chose to withdraw.
Suddenly, Cyborg's eyes widened slightly before he let out a small side-smirk, shaking his head.
"Huh… so that's what it was, huh? He didn't want to embarrass Batman in front of everyone…"
He chuckled softly, leaning back in his chair as he stared up at the ceiling.
"That sarcastic bastard actually has some principles after all… and he's more thoughtful than he lets on."
With one last quiet laugh, he shut off his computer and got ready for bed.
Meanwhile, in Blade's room, he slept peacefully—smiling, almost as if he knew exactly what Cyborg was thinking.
Almost as if… he had planned it all along.
