Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

On their second day in town, the two planned to drive around the nearby valley, but a phone call from China interrupted their plans as they set off.

Ethan's secretary informed him that the head office had sent a message that his first cousin Liam would report to the branch office in three days and asked him if he wanted to finish his holiday and return early.

Ethan was surprised to hear, 'Three days later, didn't you say there's still a month to go?'

'Suddenly received a notice from the head office that it's early.'

The secretary was careful to answer this, afraid of upsetting Ethan. He was also in a difficult situation. He didn't want to bother the big boss with such a thing while he was on his honeymoon, yet he couldn't leave it unannounced. It's a good thing Ethan didn't care about this.

'I know, book me a flight, I'll be back tonight.'

After hanging up the phone and meeting Marcus's questioning eyes, Ethan had no choice but to explain the matter. Marcus nodded and went to his room to get all his luggage and put it in the car. 'Go back then,' he said.

He had initially planned to stay here for another day, and his luggage would be left at the hostel for now, but now there was no need for that.

  'Sorry...'

'Why are you apologizing to me?'Marcus was amused, 'You're the one who said you were coming out for your honeymoon, right?'

So even if he returned early, he had no problem with it. Ethan heard the meaning of his words and wasn't too happy about it. Reaching out and clasping one side of his waist, he asked, 'How does it feel to be here?'

'I usually do my workouts,' Marcus said squarely, stifling a chuckle,' I don't get a sore back and can't get up just to get laid; you're not that great yet.'

'You think so little of your man me?'Ethan narrowed his eyes dangerously lightly and looked at him, his hand still resting on his waist, if anything, kneading, teasing him in a very ambiguous tone, 'We'll know if we have that ability a few more times.'

'Aren't you going back?'Marcus lifted his jaw, 'Don't b*llsh*t me, drive, or you'll be late getting back to catch your flight.'

Ethan looked at his bashful demeanor and suddenly felt slightly sorry for him. He also mentally greeted his unlikable older cousin from head to toe.

So they could only hit the road back. Ethan asked Marcus when he would go back to S city. Marcus shook his head, 'I still have several days left in my holiday. I originally planned to spend more time with Grandpa as well, but it's just right now. Let's go back in a few days.'

Marcus said so; Ethan also could not say anything more, wanting him to go with him to the words to the mouth and swallow back, which could only be forgotten.

The two of them back to London has reached nearly evening; only a few hours before the plane takes off, Ethan non-stop to rush to the airport; his friends who came to participate in the wedding this morning have returned to go, only Lucas a because to help him deal with the trouble to stay down, hear Ethan said to go back early, immediately shouted to go with him, and then was Ethan to the unceremonious back to the refusal.

'You stay and watch Marcus and his cousin for me,and go back with Marcus next week.'

'No,' Lucas refused without thinking,' His cousin is a psycho; I can't afford to serve him.'

Lucas said in his heart while spitting at Ethan, "To fight against his enemy, he betrayed his brother. He really doesn't bring such a bigot to his brother."

'Either you stay,or go back with me now and work at the company tomorrow, into the frontline department, your choice.'

Into the front line of the department means to be a pig as a dog was not righteous big brother to f*ck to death, Lucas's two eyes, black, can only be bitterly agreed to, again and again, to ensure that the next week, will help him to keep an eye on the psychopath, do not let him go close to sister-in-law'.

After explaining Lucas's things, Ethan is finally relieved to return to China alone, although Liam's early parachute surprised him. The good thing is that long ago, there were preparations, but they did not make a big mess.

Before getting on the plane, Ethan notified the company to prepare a welcome banquet for his cousin. Liam's position is the manager of the strategic planning department; However, the title of his general manager is lower than a level; the strategic planning department is for the company to do the strategic investment planning of the most critical departments; the manager is directly under the orders of the president, independent of the general manager's authority, that is to say, in the absence of the president's premise, he and Ethan's position, in fact, the most important department. In other words, in the absence of a president, his and Ethan's positions are equal. However, Ethan has been running the mainland branch for six or seven years, so he still has a lot of advantages over Liam, who was parachuted in.

Liam also arrived on the second day of Ethan's return to China; Ethan sent his secretary to the airport to pick him up and arrange a high-class flat. He is a cousin by blood. Still, except for official relations, Ethan did not want to have too much contact with him, so when he received him, it was on the third day when Liam officially reported to the company.

Ethan personally brought the department managers to the company door to meet, one by one, to give him an introduction. Liam is also very facetious, smiling a faction of peace, Ethan, and a warm crowd a short welcome after the meeting. Ethan led him to various departments around the circle to have a face and then, at noon, to the company's nearby hotels to give him a welcome dinner.

It was all just polite talk between the glasses and the drinks. Ethan and Liam were each wearing a smiling face, and the cooperation was barely a tacit understanding.

During the period Ethan went to the bathroom when washing his hands, he received a text message from Marcus with only one sentence: "Your brother ran away."

Ethan inexplicably called over directly. Marcus had just gotten up, and a lethargic voice came through the mobile phone: 'I do not know. It suddenly disappeared, but it also did not say hello on the go. I thought you knew.'

Ethan muttered what this kid was up to and didn't ask any more questions, turning to chat with Marcus, 'What day are you coming back?'

  'Next Tuesday,I think.'

'Send me the flight number on my mobile,I'll pick you up.'

'No need.'Marcus was about to refuse, but he thought better of it and changed his mind:'Never mind. I'll send it later.'

Ethan laughed and asked him, 'That cousin of yours still at your place?'

'What do you care so much about him?'Marcus was a little speechless.

'Anyway, you stay away from him and come back early.'

  'You're jealous of him?'

Marcus's lazy voice took on a smirk that came through the airwaves, teasing Ethan a bit: ' Well, I just don't want to see that psycho hanging around you.'

  'So still jealous?'

  '...Sort of.'

The smirk in Marcus'tone was a little more pronounced,'I don't have that bad of an eye.'

  'It's not that bad.

Ethan finished his last sentence, turned his head to see that the person pushing the door in was Liam, and left Marcus a sentence: "You don't seem to have woken up. Go to bed and get some sleep. I'll call you later. ' Then he hung up. Liam raised his eyebrows, smiled and asked him, 'Calling Marcus? Calling?

  'Nothing to do with you.'

Ethan replied coldly; he didn't feel like pretending with him without outsiders; he and Liam had always had a bad relationship. Liam was five years older than him. He had been bullied by him when he was a kid when he couldn't beat him, and that was why he had gone to train hard in fighting; now that they were both adults, there was, of course, e no way that they could ever fight again, but this guy was not a good person if it weren't for the fact that the head office had sent him here, he would be a good person. Ethan hadn't even been interested in hitting on him.

'I'm just curious,' Liam walked up and straightened his hair in the mirror, looking at Ethan in the mirror with a smile. I heard you guys used to be rivals, chasing the same guy for years. Why did you suddenly get married?'

Ethan raised his eyes and glanced at him, 'You investigated me?'

'To know my enemy, of course.'Liam admitted graciously, lighting a cigarette as Ethan took a step to the side in disgust, thinking that Marcus looked much better than the one in front of him when he was also smoking.

'You married him for that yacht agency?'

He didn't intend to talk to him. After wiping his hands with a paper towel, Ethan turned around. He was ready to leave when Liam called, 'The position of assistant manager of the information department has always been vacant, and you didn't hire anyone, so I've heard that it was intended to be reserved for that Lucas kid?'

'That's right.'This matter Ethan decided a long time ago, only this period because of the marriage thing has not been in charge of Lucas, only delayed not announced, originally also intended to wait for this time Lucas back no matter how to make him into the company to work seriously, so Ethan also did not hide.

'He has no working experience,he is idle all day long, once he joined the company,he became the assistant manager of the department, aren't you afraid of being gossiped about?'

'Which one of us didn't join the company as a key position right after graduation without any work experience,' Ethan said unconcernedly,' And Lucas doesn't have the qualities. He graduated from Harvard with straight A's and is competent enough to be the assistant manager of a branch office.'

Liam laughed and said nothing more, and the conversation turned back to the previous one, 'Aren't you on your honeymoon? Why did you come back early? Is it because of me? Won't Marcus complain about you if you do?'

'Too much work to get away.'Already getting impatient, Ethan dropped that and pushed out the door.

Liam followed him out, 'Hey, I agree, Marcus is a little better than William.'

Hearing this, Ethan snapped to a halt and looked coldly at the man in front of him, a smirk in his voice. 'You'd better stay away from him,' he said.

'Him?' The corners of Liam's mouth turned up a little more, 'Which him, Marcus or William?'

'You know who I'm talking about.'Ethan said the last sentence and turned away with an icy face.

Liam shrugged indifferently, smiled, crushed the cigarette out of his hand, and headed back. On their second day in town, the two planned to drive around the nearby valley, but a phone call from China interrupted their plans as they set off.
