Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

Marcus appeared in front of Lyson's company building and immediately attracted a lot of attention to probe the line of sight; these two months, almost every day, Ethan first from work to go to Marcus's company downstairs to pick him up and then went out to dinner together, today is the first time, he took the initiative to come to the Lyson to find Ethan. Also, he did not have to say hello to him in advance.

Sweet-looking receptionist in Marcus, that pair of deep eyes under the gaze of a slightly red face, about their boss and the Marcus thing; in fact, almost the whole company has been spread, and Ethan is not avoiding suspicion; someone asked about it on the generous recognition, but also so that the entire company knows that their general manager of Ethan and a man with his equal strength and equally outstanding married! The company knew that their general manager Ethan was married to a man who was equally as good as he was, and in private, the people had not been talking about the gossip, so it was not unusual for Marcus to be mobbed by people when he suddenly appeared.

"May I ask which floor General Manager Ethan's office is on? Please speak to him; I would like to see him."

Marcus's face didn't have much expression, but the words he said were very polite, and his voice was also slightly low and very lovely, making people irresistibly charmed. The receptionist lady returned to her senses from being somewhat out of sorts, smiled, and told him to wait a moment. After this, she made an internal call to Ethan's secretary, and five minutes later, that side came back and asked him to go up.

Nodding his thanks, Marcus stepped into the elevator and pressed the button directly for Ethan's floor.

Ethan also did not expect Marcus to come suddenly but was very happy. He told his secretary to make tea and pulled him to sit on the sofa, smiling, "You got off work earlier than me today."

Marcus looked around; this was the first time he had visited Ethan's office, which was very different from his place. Marcus likes simple black and white style, while Ethan is keen on decorating all kinds of flowers, birds, insects, and fishes in his office, including the apartment they live in, which is almost transformed to be assimilated with his office, Marcus does not like it very much but is very indulgent to Ethan to go to the office, he is pleased. Marcus didn't like it much, but he did allow Ethan to do whatever he wanted.

"I was out doing some errands, and when I returned afterward, I passed by your place and came up here," Marcus explained casually.

Ethan smiled. He preferred to hear Marcus say he came here specifically to look for him: "Come on, then, let's go to dinner."

"Go now? I thought you weren't off work yet. Are you done with work?"

"It's still early. We can go somewhere far away to eat. The work is not done; we'll just do it tomorrow."

Ethan tidied up the piles of papers on his desk a little and was about to go out with Marcus when the secretary's intercom call came in, saying that the manager of the planning department was here to talk to him about something urgent.

Ethan felt a bit helpless. Marcus shrugged and sat back on the sofa, picking up the magazines piled on the coffee table and flipping through them.

Ethan called someone in. The planning department manager is a middle-aged man in his forties who is not eye-catching. He walked in hurriedly. Once he entered the door and saw Marcus sitting on the sofa, the words came to his mouth, and then swallowed. Ethan glanced at Marcus, signaling, "What do you have to say directly?"

So the other party did not shy away, handing him the brochure in his hand: "This is the finished product of the company's fifteenth-anniversary brochure that was just sent over by the printing company, on the timeline of the company's founding. A few important points in time are wrong, and it's too late to ask them to reprint the brochure now."

Ethan was a little surprised, took a look at the moment, and frowned; in the second paragraph of the first page of the booklet, there are indeed a few time points wrong tomorrow; Lyson will be held in the continent to celebrate the the15th anniversary of the establishment of the company, invited a lot of partners, business celebrities, as well as the news media, these promotional brochures are to be distributed to the public, and now made into this way certainly can not be sent out.

"How could this happen? You didn't check the sample brochures sent over before? What did the printing company say?"

Ethan's face sank; the planning department manager had no choice but to explain: "I've carefully looked at the sample book. There is no problem with this paragraph, but there is wrong data in the table at the back; I let the person under me change it and send it over again today. I received the finished product and called the printing company to ask about it. They sent the version we sent back to me to look at it; it is indeed wrong, not their problem, it's our department's problem, it's our department's problem, it's our department's problem. Their problem is that our department's people made a mistake. The modification was not made on the previous final version, and before sending it out, they forgot to double-check it again; the result is that the data was changed back, but the key part of the front was wrong."

  "Who was responsible for this?"

The manager of the planning department reported a name out. Ethan heard, looked at the hands of the brochure silently for a moment, and said: "Since it has been so this can not be used, and then reprinted is too late; just use the version of last year's brochures. I remember that last year was printed more than there is still a lot of inventory, isn't it?"

The other party nodded: "It can only be this way. This is the planning department's mistake. After that, I will write a report on this."

  "Alright, you deal with it."

After dismissing the people, Ethan threw the ruined brochure into the trash can with some annoyance; Marcus picked it up by hand, flipping through this thing that could no longer see the light of day. Except for that mistake, this promotional brochure is quite beautifully done. There is also a picture of Ethan's handsome and aggressive face on the front page, which is a very eye-catching introduction to the head of the company.

"Don't look at it," Ethan said, jerking the brochure out of his hand and throwing it back in the trash. We're going to dinner."

Marcus asked him curiously, "Why would an employee of your company make such a cheap mistake? Did you hire a fresher or simply an intern?"

"You want to know?" Marcus asked, and Ethan was in a better mood. He nudged him, "I also want to know why. Let's go, go with me to the planning department to take a look."

Planning Department in Ethan's office two floors below, the two did not enter the door to go, stopped at the glass door outside the footsteps; a total of more than a dozen people in the department is gathered around the manager in the meeting, although it is not clear to hear the manager looks serious apparently in the lesson. Among them, a look at a very young girl with her head bowed all the time in choking, presumably, is the matter of the handler.

"What can you tell here?"Marcus was a little bemused that he'd dragged himself sneaking around here to snoop.

Ethan lightly related, "Two months ago, when the company recruited, the planning department got two new people; she was one of them, recommended by the marketing manager, a relative of the family, the marketing manager, who was transferred directly from the head office in New York a year ago."

  "...So?"

"That Liam guy has been in the company for two months, making small moves behind my back, digging around for me to install his people. It's not uncommon for him to do something like this."

"That first cousin of yours?"Marcus was surprised to hear, "What good would it do him to do something like that?"

Ethan smiled, "Because that promotional brochure has my picture and profile on it, and I'm not even in the president's seat yet, and he and I both have a chance before the head office board decides on the final candidate at the end of the year, so, of course, he doesn't want to see me make a spectacle of myself at this point."

"...So what are you going to do?"

Ethan was unimpressed: "Let him do this kind of dirty trick. It's just a small fight. There's no point in bothering with him; let's go."

This time, he went to the underground parking lot and sat in the car. Ethan suddenly leaned over to Marcus's side, and Marcus was slightly surprised when he smiled and helped him pull through the seat belt: "I'll do it."

Buckling him in, Ethan sat up a little straighter, reached out, ruffled Marcus's frontal hair, and asked him, "I assume you had a car when you went on errands? Where's the car?"

"Didn't drive it, had it dropped off?"

"Oh...specially came here to get out of the car?"

Looking into his eyes with a sly smile, Marcus was quiet momentarily and admitted, " I suddenly wanted to see you, so I came."

Hearing him say that, Ethan was stunned for a moment instead. Then he laughed, no longer restraining himself. Biting on his lips fiercely, he pressed his hand down. The seatbelt that had only been buckled up was unbuckled again, placing the chair down smoothly, rolling over, and pressing directly onto Marcus.

The two of them tore into each other fiercely, their hands roaming all over each other's body in a caress that had rarely been so hot and hard, and in the middle of the company parking lot in broad daylight.

Before completely wiping the floor, Marcus gasped and pushed Ethan's shoulder, "That's enough...don't go any further..."

Ethan withdrew his hand from ripping off his pants. This wasn't a good place to be. Even though there were still a few people off duty at this time of day, it didn't mean there wouldn't be one, and it wasn't realistic to make it to the end.

Wrapping his hands tightly around Marcus'waist, Ethan kissed his sweaty forehead, then tenderly worked his way down the high bridge of his nose, then took his soft lips and gently s*ck*d on them, and finally pressed them to Marcus'ear, murmuring in a mute voice, "Marcus, is this kind of a relationship we're in?"

  "..."

Marcus couldn't say it; to say it was in a relationship always felt like it was missing something, but to say it wasn't, not only did they have a marital relationship, but they had done all the intimate things that lovers should do and had done them many more times. He couldn't say for himself what the hell it counted as.

Ethan didn't press him; he helped him pull his shirt back on and sit up. Marcus hit the seat up and pressed the window. The ambiguous air in the car instantly dissipated. Ethan smiled and started the car.

Before the car left the parking lot, another drove past from the front. The other party didn't seem to see them, but Ethan instantly recognized that it was Lucas's car, driven by Lucas.

"What's with this kid, only a couple days into his shift and he's already leaving early."

Marcus pulled back, "Still taking after you."

Then he frowned lightly. There seemed to be another person sitting in the passenger seat of Lucas's car, although it was only a glimpse from a distance. That person seemed to be... Angus?
