Chapter 25 - 24- A Guide on How to Beat the Shit Out of a God of War

"I wish you the best of luck, Tyr," I said with a smile as I looked at my opponent in front of me. As Raph had predicted, the battle did start around 8 hours later.

Right now, we were in the Royal Arena of Asgard. There was a golden barrier covering the battle area, mainly made to protect both the arena and the spectators, since a fight between two gods could be quite destructive.

"You seem awfully lax... prince. Do you not even take a fight seriously as an Aesir? Or do you not care even a bit about what would happen to your reputation after your defeat?" Tyr asked me with a smug face.

"Tyr... do you know why I wished you luck the first thing after we entered this arena? It was because you would be needing that. You don't quite understand how awfully fucked you are... anyways... you're too blockheaded to understand, so let's just start the fight." I sighed.

The crowd was full of cheers, ignoring our conversation. Most of the people were cheering for me... it seems they are quite smart...

"Very well then, Prince Magnar. Since you are the younger one, you strike the first blow," Tyr said with provocation.

Hearing his proclamation, I simply smirked, raised Lifhreinsir, and proceeded to smack it forward with all my force.

My speed was not something Tyr could avoid, but he was a warrior who had fought battles for several millennia. In terms of pure fighting skills, he surpasses even Father. No, his strength is nowhere near him, but my father's strength lies not in his skill but in his raw strength and magic, along with the Odinforce. As for Tyr, his divinity and fighting skill were all he had.

And his divinity was not one he was born with, so unlike me, Hela, or Thor, he could never develop it to an extreme level. He was granted his divinity by God King Odin for his merits as a mighty warrior. But it seems all that glory really got to his brain.

Tyr noticed my strike incoming clearly. I had simply used my spear as a staff to smack him. He understood that dodging would be difficult, so he held Tyrfing with his right hand, used the sword to cover his left hand, and proceeded to raise his hand to shield himself from the incoming attack.

BOOM!!!

So... well... Tyr was sent flying and he struck the barrier pretty hard...

I mean, he just took a blow from the God of Life—what the fuck did he think would happen? Physically, I am the strongest in Asgard. With the genetic enhancement at the time I was born, and continuous growth in all these years, my physical strength at the moment is around five times that of Thor at the time of the New York war.

Meaning that I am stronger than Hulk physically, and this idiot, in his pride, took a strike from me...

But Tyr was the God of War indeed. Even after taking all that damage, he still stood up—barely, though. His left hand had its bones broken, and the impact from the barrier had left his entire body shaken...

At this point, it was only his will keeping him standing... but sadly, this was not a shonen anime...

"So, Tyr? Do you understand why I was wishing you luck?" I asked gloatingly.

MAGNAR!!

MAGNAR!!!

MAGNAR!!!!

The crowd had completely erupted with cheering. I had almost one-shotted Tyr, the God of War...

Of course, there were also many people who were booing Tyr...

As for Tyr himself, he stood panting. He did not say anything, just looked at me intently—his next moves unknown...

At this point, if I wanted to, I could have just knocked out Tyr and been done with it. But that would have been counterproductive for my goal. Tyr had done nothing till now in this fight, so defeating him like this would certainly not boost my prestige to its maximum point.

I wanted Tyr to unleash some desperate attacks, to show his strength, to create better visuals. After all, the better Tyr appeared, the more dazzling my victory would be. So I just let him do whatever he wished to.

Now there must have been several internal monologues going on inside Tyr's head, and if I had the ability to read minds, I would definitely tell you what he was thinking. Sadly, I don't...

But we can infer from his next actions what he was thinking. Tyr let out a shout, gathered his divinity, and swung his sword, sending forth a massive slash—and also charged toward me, with one arm limp...

Seeing the massive slash coming toward me, I covered Lifhreinsir with my divine power, and did one of the first things Father taught me in spear handling... I deflected the slash, but for better visuals, I ensured that the slash split the ground apart before colliding with the barrier.

While this happened, Tyr was already in front of me and swung his sword, trying to flail me. But I casually parried it with my spear... now as it happened, I was already stronger than Tyr, but now, in this severely injured form, Tyr had only relied on his will to attack. So the parries actually did cause him a lot of strain, while Lifhreinsir also put debuffs on him continuously...

He unleashed a few more slashes, but each of them only worked as decorations—just splitting the ground...

It seemed that Tyr would soon fall... but his work isn't completed yet. I once again swung my spear and threw Tyr off for quite some distance. He seemed as if he would be knocked out at any moment, so I helped him a bit...

Several magic circles formed as I raised my hands, and—

Amplified Gravity Shock!

A sudden, instantaneous shock of 10,000x gravity was felt by Tyr... which, as you can imagine, is not one of the things you want to feel...

Anyways, the guy didn't stand. His eyes turned white as he fell into the pit created by the spell... but no one cared for how bad Tyr's situation was at the moment.

Because there was a wild thunderous roar from the audience, all cheering my name...

A small smile formed on my face as I also saw Freyja amongst the ones cheering... girl was practically jumping without any care for her image...

I think this small episode of beating up a God of War should be enough to build up my prestige.

Do you know why Tyr was beaten?
