Chapter 24 - 23- Lifhreinsir

"Why? Are you scared, Prince Magnar?" Tyr tried to provoke me into fighting.

His plan was simple. After my first victory, my popularity had surged all across Asgard. If Tyr challenged and defeated me now, it would definitely leave a stain on my reputation.

But did he really think he could beat me? My current strength should be the second-highest in Asgard—only below God King Odin himself, who was far stronger than me.

"Scared? Of whom? You? HAHAHAHAHA!" I laughed loudly, mocking him. "Are you sure you're the God of War and not the God of Jokes? Because I really think that title suits you better."

Now that I had decided to beat the shit out of him, there was no need to hold back—I started roasting him.

"At least I'm not some coward who hides in the face of enemies," Tyr grumbled, his brain clearly too small to cook up a proper response.

"Hahh… Tyr, we both know where this is going. So let's stop this back and forth and have a fight. You've been insufferable for long enough—and I thoroughly wish to beat you up." I said, cutting to the chase.

"Hmph. You think you can defeat me?" Tyr growled, clearly angered by my words.

After all, he is a warrior who has fought in countless wars and built his reputation on sheer skill.

If I were watching this scene from a neutral perspective, I might support Tyr. He's the hardworking one, while I earned my position through birthright.

But I wasn't neutral. Tyr was in my way—and he needed to be culled.

"Very well then. I'll assume you've accepted the fight. Father, please permit me to host a battle in the arena. Since I'm the one fighting, why not make it a spectacle? We can summon the people of Asgard and let them witness it firsthand.

After all, a battle between two gods is bound to be entertaining."

I asked to arrange the venue and call in the crowd. Both I and Father already knew how this would end, so this was a perfect opportunity to further boost my reputation.

The better the beatdown I gave Tyr, the more reverence I'd gain from the populace.

Sorry, Tyr.

If you were smart enough to understand what was happening, you'd surely be offended.

No—if you were smart enough to understand, this situation wouldn't have happened in the first place.

"You are permitted to use the arena, no need to bother with the preparations, You both can go and get ready for the fight, I will send someone to notify you when the preparations are completed." Father said then ordered one of his adjutants to get the arena ready for a battle between two gods, and also start inviting the people to spectate.

"I await a great battle then, Prince Magnar," Tyr said with a crazed, bloodthirsty grin on his face hearing the approval for the battle.

Poor Tyr, might just be his last grin...

Hmmm… Tyr had the divine sword Tyrfing on him…

A regular spear wouldn't be worthy for this battle. Imagine my opponent shows up with a fancy weapon, and I the prince of Asgard, have to fight with a regular spear...that would be a shameful matter for the Royal family....So I needed a weapon good enough for this fight....Should I ask father? No...

'Raphael, design a weapon for me—something fit for this battle.' Yes, maybe I should use my divinity of creation to create a divine weapon for me...it would only take some of my energy..., and considering my massive reserves and regeneration speed, spending some energy now should not be of any problem...

[Yes, Master.

 Designing of the spear initiated.

Previous work on the subject has already been done. Time required shortened greatly.

Simulating the intensity of the battle… adjustments made.

Designing a spear surpassing the divine sword Tyrfing… completed.]

'Good.....Surpassing that bastard's sword.... Transfer the data directly to my brain.'

[Transferring data… completed.]

'Hmmm… looks like I overestimated myself…

what the fuck is this?

I can't create this with my current level of control over my divinity—it would just end up as a powerless imitation of the designed weapon.

Raphael, help me out. With your powers, we should be able to make this spear.' This shit was simply beyond my capabilities, it was like you started learning Mathematics, and just as you completed division, someone gave you some Integration problems to solve.....

[Yes, Master.]

Alright then. I started unleashing my divine energy from my hand, and—

'Raph, create the spear for me. You can use the power of the divinity of creation and life as you wish.'

[Yes, Master. Starting the process of creating a divine spear.

Creation of materials… completed.

Constructed the structure of the spear.

Since no runes are available to enchant it, replacing enchantments by imbuing divinity aspects directly into the weapon.

Adding the concepts of death, decay, aging, and sickness from the divinity of life…

Final enhancements underway… completed.

Creation of the divine spear surpassing Tyrfing completed. Please assign a name, Master.]

'Shit… I feel drained… how much of my divine energy did that take?'

[Approximately 72%, Master. It will take you around two hours to fully regain that energy.]

'Damn… with just two hours' worth of divine energy, a divine weapon was created…' Maybe I can take some notes from Gilgamesh.....a gate of Babylon....no, Gates of Asgard sound real cool....

'As for its name… since it's imbued with the anti-elements of life…

Let's name it Lifhreinsir—The Life Purger.'

[A fitting name, Master. However, I recommend you rest now. You've expended a significant amount of energy, and you still have to fight Tyr today.]

'Don't worry. Setting up the arena for such a grand spectacle and inviting so many Asgardians is going to take a few hours. I'll have enough time to rest.'

[Yes, Master. You should have around 8 hours before the fight, based on my calculations.]

'Eight hours? With Asgard's level of technology, shouldn't it take much less? I was expecting maybe three to four hours max. Why so long?'

[Master, due to their longevity, Asgardians generally do not possess a strong sense of urgency. Most tasks are approached with leisure.

So even with such advanced technology, the expected time remains valid.]

'Well… I can't argue with that.

Don't know if I'll ever turn out like that myself…

Anyways, I will think about that later, I have to get some rest for now, then I have to teach a lesson to an ignorant god who doesn't know his place.....

But, since I am merciful, If he cuts off both his arms then destroys his cultivation, and becomes my slave for his next ten lives—I might forgive him. Might.
