"I challenge you to a fight too!! The arena is already set—let's fight right now!!" came a loud shout from a short and dumb creature who acted like a wild animal with no civic sense. At least she did it when I returned to the viewing room to visit my family and not in front of all the Asgardians...
"Shut up, Hela." I sighed. Having a sister is good... but what am I supposed to do when your sister is a battle-crazy woman who challenges you to a fight every time she sees you? Which is like... twenty times a day?
"Humph! You're scared that you'll lose! You just beat one old guy and now you're full of attitude!!" Hela continued in her usual loud voice.
I just looked at her with a tired expression, then raised my hand and started patting her head...
"What are you doing?!!"
"Thinking... I'm thinking... how good it would have been if there was a brain inside here..." I sighed....the thought came from the bottom of my heart, and was completely sincere....
Maybe I understand why Odin threw her to fight wars at a young age in the original work...
Now she comes and annoys me... but if I didn't exist, the one she annoyed would most probably be Father.
And just to get some peaceful time, he sent her to the battlefield, which was probably the best solution. Since, by doing this, Odin is happy, Hela is happy, even Asgardian soldiers who were used as dummies before are happy...
But problems only started when Odin decided to stop fighting wars... there was nowhere left to send Hela to. And she probably started causing chaos back at home....Still, sealing her off might have been a bit too cruel...
"Urghhh..." she let out a guttural roar like an animal and slashed her sword at me... which I blocked with Lifhreinsir.
This seemed to sober her up... just when I thought she finally came to her senses and wouldn't fight anymore—
"Where did you get this spear? I've never seen this weapon in the armory... It suddenly just appeared with you today..." Hela said excitedly....
The reason she stopped fighting was because she was excited about my new divine weapon...
But she was clearly not the only one interested... since even Father and Mother started to look at me with curiosity in their eyes instead of the previous amusement...
"Disperse. Leave us alone," I ordered, signaling every guard and maid to leave the room, since I did not want anyone else to know about this right now. But family is an exception...
As the room was emptied and soundproofing was done, there were only me, Hela, Freyja, Father, and Mother left in the room.
I turned towards my father.
"I have awakened my divinities," I said plainly—no beating around the bush.
"Are you a god of spears? That's why you can create it?" Hela asked, and she genuinely seemed to be deep in thought... while I just stared at her blankly...
"So, what are your divinities, son?" asked Father. He looked a bit proud that I had awakened my divinity so young... Mother too was all smiles and gave me a nod.
"I am the God of Life, Wisdom, and Creation. This spear was made using my divinity of creation... but it almost drained me of all my energy. I can't mass-produce such weapons for now, but I can definitely create several things. And I also figured out that my divinity of life is the reason for my abnormally strong body. As for wisdom... well, that's obvious. I think my records are enough to explain why I have that divinity," I said, explaining my divinities without hesitation. Because every god has his own divinity, and mine doesn't sound too destructive or anything—no problem in revealing that...
Well, everyone was genuinely happy and somewhat surprised hearing that, except for Hela and Freyja...
"Those sound like awfully weak divinities. What are you going to become? A doctor or a construction worker? Don't tell others that you're my twin brother whenever we're outside together from now on," Hela declared—and received a hand chop right at her head for it...
As for Freyja... well, I had already told her about it before... but at least she's a good actor. No one here found out that she already knew about it. She even managed to somehow act the most enthusiastic about it... But considering the only people here were my father, with his facial paralysis, mother, a prim and proper noble lady, and Hela, an idiot... it was not a tough crowd to beat...
"Good. You have awakened your divinity so young... Worthy of being my son. I will soon announce your divinities in Asgard, and you will receive your divine title... Magnar Odinson, the God of Life, Creation, and Wisdom.
And your divinities are quite powerful... especially life and creation. If you use them well, you will become strong... strong enough to become a worthy king of Asgard." Odin said sincerely. The man isn't entirely bad... he just does some stupid things in between...
"Yes, Father. I will train to the best of my capabilities, to become the strongest I can," I said with the same sincerity.
"Very well. You can go and rest for now. Tomorrow I will hold the ceremony of you getting your divine title."
"Yes, Father."
And I turned to leave towards my room, with Freyja's hand in my hand. We started walking back toward my room, hand in hand.
But sensing something approaching us, I shouted—
"Run, Freyja! Come, we've got to leave....fast!!" I said in panic.
"Hmm...? What happened, dear?!!" Freyja shouted as she ran.
"No time to explain." I said, continuing to run together....but this was too slow...we might get caught...
"Damn it....We are going too slow!!" I shouted, before I grabbed her, picked her up in a princess hug which caused her face to turn crimson,
'Cute!' I thought, completely distracted, which also caused me to pause for a bit...
But I quickly steeled my resolve.....Women are indeed the source of distraction....
I sighed, and started running again with Freyja in my arms.
"HEYYY!!! OUR FIGHT ISN'T OVER, DON'T RUN!!! UGHHH.... BASTARD BROTHER!!!" came a loud shout from the source of nuisance I was running from.
