Don't you think the story is progressing too fast? I want it to unfold more slowly, but I struggle with understanding relationships between characters, which makes it hard to write. If you have any advice, feel free to share

Bronya: "Do you know him?"
V: "We'll talk about that later, Right now we need to deal with him first."
Bronya: "Understood,
Bronya will comply."
V: "Mei, take care of Kiana, Bronya provide support with artillery—but no lasers."
Before either of them could respond, V had already launched himself forward, engaging the masked figure in combat.
Their blades clashed, sending shockwaves through the air around them.
As he fought, V thoughts raced.
V:(Just as I thought… That sword—it's mine. From my past world.)
The figure in front of him wasn't human.
It was a construct, created from Honkai energy, built solely to fight.
V:(Judging by the energy levels around us, its strength is only at level four—minimum.)
His sword
A sleek black blade, its hilt wrapped in dark, metallic scales.A weapon that, at first glance, looked simple—ordinary. But it wasn't.
It was forged from a fragment of his very soul.
How had it ended up here?
It didn't matter.
Not now.
Right now, he needed to focus.
He had to separate the blade from its wielder.
But how?
Kiana was unconscious—she wouldn't be able to help.Mei… If she relinquished control to her other self and unleashed high-level Honkai energy, the sword might absorb it.
That would only make things worse.Bronya's weapons were ineffective against it.
V:(What do I do?)
He clenched his jaw.
Right now, he was weak.
Most of his power was still bound to the system of his old world.
The only way to reclaim it was to reestablish his connection to that system.
His grip tightened around his sword as he deflected another strike.
This battle was dragging on.
If it continued any longer, he'd be at a disadvantage.
His blade—his current one—wouldn't last much longer.
For just a second, his focus wavered.
A single second was all it took.
The masked figure seized the opening, channeling energy into its blade and striking.
Steel shattered.
Pain flared as V sword broke apart, a deep wound slashing across his side.
Mei: "V-kun!"
Bronya: "V!"
Kiana: "You bastard!"
V didn't hesitate.
Instinct took over.
He leaped back—just in time to avoid a fatal strike.
But the enemy wasn't going to let this chance slip away.
It lunged forward—
Bang!
A bullet tore through the air, forcing the masked figure to retreat—if only for a moment.
V pressed a hand to his wound, gritting his teeth as a familiar, searing pain spread through him.
Honkai infection.
(This… is bad.)

Soul Weapons
These were weapons used by people in the previous era of that world, though many were eventually abandoned.
A Soul Weapon is forged using 20% of a soul's essence, granting it a faint sense of awareness.
However, since these weapons grow and evolve over time, they were only popular in the early stages of their use.
Their slow growth rate led people to favor pre-crafted weapons with high capabilities instead.
Due to these limitations, only a handful of individuals continued to wield them.
V: (Never thought I'd be cut by my own blade…)
As he used mana to Seal the wound Temporary, Bronya, Mei other self, and the newly-awakened Kiana rushed into battle against the masked figure—his past self, replicated through the sword.
That blade… its abilities were simple yet terrifying:
1. Energy Absorption – It could drain energy from anything it touched.
2. Energy Release – The absorbed energy could be unleashed in various forms.
3. Unlimited Growth – The weapon evolved at an accelerated rate, with no limit.
4. Ability Enhancement – It could increase its durability, sharpness, and overall power.
That was what made this fight so difficult.
Any energy Mei released, any lasers Bronya fired—it would absorb them and retaliate with equal force.
The only way to win was to separate the sword from its wielder or Use close combat for victory.
V exhaled sharply.
Time to end this.
He lunged at the replica, swinging his blade down hard.
For a brief moment, it was immobilized.
Mei saw her chance.
She dashed in for a strike—
But the masked figure reacted.
It reinforced its strength through the sword and shoved V back before landing a vicious kick on Mei, sending her skidding across the ground.
Before it could follow up, Bronya unleashed a cannon blast from Project Bunny.
Smoke and debris erupted from the impact.
From within the haze—
Kiana: "NEKO CHAM!!"
A massive cat paw materialized, slamming into the enemy and sending it rolling across the ground.
Before it could recover, V struck.
The figure barely dodged in time, retreating—only to spot an opening.
In a flash, it lunged.
The blade struck true.
Pain shot through V body as the sword stabbed into his abdomen.
Mei: "You bastard!"
Fueled by rage, Mei charged.
The masked figure tried to retreat—but then, it realized.
It couldn't move.
V: "Not letting you run."
His left hand clenched the enemy's sword, while his right hand held its arm in place.
Mei seized the opportunity—her blade sliced through, severing the figure's arm.
V let go, delivering a powerful kick that sent it tumbling backward.
Mei crimson-pink eyes flickered toward him before snapping back to the enemy, preparing to finish it off—
But then, a hand on her shoulder.
V: "That's enough It's over."
Just as he said, the replica began to dissolve and fading.
Bronya and Kiana approached, both bearing minor cuts and scratches.
Bronya: "It's finally over."
She stared at the vanishing figure.
V: "Yeah."
Realizing the battle had ended, Kiana let herself collapse onto the ground.
Kiana: "Ughhh, that was exhausting."
Mei, concern in her eyes, turned to V.
Mei: "We need to treat your wounds first."
She motioned for him to sit down, already preparing to tend to him.
V tilted his head back, gazing up at the sky.
V: "It's finally over..."
