「Skill Activated: Deus Ex Machina」
"Aaaaa!!!!" Silver's eyes opened in panic, a vision of him getting his head removed from his neck and then nearby came to him so vividly. His breathing became weak and mind was being consumed within the pain of the vision. [1]
"I am going to die... I am going to die." Shaska was coming for him. No matter where he'd go she would come, this time he won't survive. He grabbed his neck to prevent it being decapitated, and tears began to fall from his eyes.
"What happened, Uncle? Are you okay?" Somebody grabbed Silver's sleeve. That triggered another vision, we was running away for a Shaska for a reason, he needed to protect somebody?
"... I can't... she is too strong."
"Who is too strong?!" When Silver ears and mind realised whose voice of talking too him. His thoughts and vision escaped into reality. And Sera was standing right infront of him.
He looked around, everything was normal. He was on his bed, and without his white cloak. The wind was fast, blowing away the curtain on the windows, and Silver wasn't bleeding or hurt at all.
"Uncle, what happened? Why are you crying?" With worries plastered on her face, Sera wiped away the tears near Silver's eyes.
"Am I in heaven?" Silver pinched his own arm to if he was in a dream, but the pain and mark of the pinch was much more physical than the vision. "What that really a dream?"
"Thank god, you are okay." Silver hugged Sera tightly, more tears began to flow from his eyes. It was a nightmare he never wished to live through again. "That was too much pain, and it was so real."
"What are you talking about?" Although Sera did not understand why her uncle was crying, something inside was swollen too, not that it made her cry, but rather tired.
Sera shifted her arms across Silver's waist, " It's okay. Everything is alright, that was just a bad dream."
Two stayed in the same position like that for a while, before Silver regained his composure and let go of Sera.
"Was that dream really that bad?"
"It was a really bad dream, and I don't wish to ever dream something like that again."
Silver got up from his bed and put on his clothes. His breath was deep and heart still pounding. The plate of bread and tea was still on his table, he took it and ate it straight away, and gulped the tea after that.
"I need something to take my mind off. What were you doing before, maybe I can join?"
"Right. I was trying to find this mouse around the house, it's really annoying to catch."
Silver remembered the events of the vision, how did all start. That was it, " I did not have a nightmare. It was a vision from the future, where I died. Or, did I reverse time by death?"
Silver thought deeply the mysterious skill had activated,
"Deus Ex Machina, what the hell is this skill?" he asked himself, would there be a time what does this skill trigger. "Which entity was trapped to have this solid skill?"
"Uncle, where did you go? You want to kill the mouse or not?"
"We don't need to catch the mouse, you know. We live in a rich apartment, we just ask the the cleaning service to fix the mouse, don't kill mouses yourself. Let's do something else."
"But I want to."
"I say we don't need to. Let's go visit Lisa, and have a day out. You must be bored from staying inside all this time."
"Are we really going outside? But do we have the money to go out? You told me, that we have no money."
"No, remember the apartment re... They didn't." Reality wasn't converging with his dreams, but it was the truth that he had no money to go out and buy something...
"I have some gold with me. Remember, I was outside yesterday, I was actually getting us some money. The gold must be inside the lobby." The gold Silver received for a his long investigation was definitely real.
"The gold here is much more physical... The gold earned by the system can only be traded among those who have a system." Silver remarked on how difficult must it be transfer gold when it's physical. The system could never.
"But there is no gold pouch in the lobby. I scanned the entire place, there was no pouch there."
"Huh?... You sure."
"Yes, I am sure. At the morning, Lisa was cleaning the entire house. I tried to help her, so she let me clean lobby. There was no gold pouch there, I am sure."
"Then it must have been in your or the extra room. Can you go check for me? And don't you touch that mouse." Sera nodded at Silver's words and ran straight into the lobby and Silver followed behind her.
The two moved into different rooms, Sera into hers and Silver into the extra room. Silver entered to see the room devoid of light. The curtains didn't move and no sunlight came in.
Silver removed the curtains and let some sunlight in. He opened the windows to let some fresh air in.
"Smhhhh...." The fragrance of lavender and roses reached his nose, then after his eyes fell on the perfectly organised bed looking like it was never used.
"She smells so good." Silver couldn't help but lay down on the bed himself. Enjoying the comfort and bed, with the fragrance and his soft imagination.
The noise of the door bell ringing fell right into the Silver's ears. "If the events of the vision line up, it must be the lunch distributor."
"Sera, I will answer the door. Keeping searching." Getting up from the bed to collect his lunch. Walking to the door, the bell rang again and again which made it weird.
"The lunch distributor doesn't ring that impatiently."
Silver grabbed the door knob, and opened the door. And his nerves calmed themselves, as the smell of lavender and roses circulated through his heart and body.
She was dressed in the same orange dress that complimented her blue eyes and hair. Her looks, smile and nature all was perfect to the bone, but the most significant part was that she was alive.
"Hello. Sorry, I came to visit you so suddenly."
"It was a dream after all."
"huh?.. Are you crying? In everything okay?"
"Yes, it is. And I am so happy, it is."
Silver didn't think much about the world outside Lisa. He didn't care if anyone was watching, all he wanted to feel the touch of someone he thought he lost.
He hugged Lisa just liked he hugged Sera, tightly and wholeheartedly.
"Why are you so perfect?" He said to himself because, Lisa didn't reject the hug.
"She embraced me regardless of what her feeling were. She is there for me, and I won't ever let her go."
