She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, waiting for the spinning to ease, then looked at him again. "W-What did you notice?" She asked with growing suspicion flashing in her eyes.
He hesitated, then offered a mild polite smile. "You should rest assured. As a doctor, I won't infringe on your privacy."
"For god's sake." She sat up straighter this time, despite her body's protest. "Just say it."
What's it with all these doctors? Do they always revel in slowly tormenting their patients by beating about the bush and building up unnecessary tension?
She had her answer already, but she needed to confirm something
"It's about your skin," he finally said.
Though her stomach did a flip at his confirmation, her tone remained composed as she asked,
"Did… have you told the men that were with me?" she asked.
