Chapter 24 - Top Speed

His words shed some light in me. They wanted me alive at some point and now what changed?

The lights went out . It meant I had to depend entirely on the senses of sound and the power of motion, the wind.

I closed my eyes to allow my inner eyes to see and to amplify the sensitivity of my hearing.

I couldn't visually see but I tried to use my inner energy to detect external forces that came at me continuously.

The Merciless Ninja Assassins Triad attacked with ninja star blades which I managed to dodge, almost all of them.

I found refuge on the corner of my safe house container as I hid behind my office table.

Having avoided all the attacks that followed me next. I gasped for some air.

I stepped on the linen, I gently picked it up. I stripped it into a long narrow piece that I instantly used to tie my overly bleeding hand, having a dagger embedded inside.

Honestly I don't understand why I kept on being so strong and active. I had lost too much blood.

More deadly weapons pierced my defense table. My new shield slowly started weakening. Any time from now it would be broken.

At the same particular time of my unimaginable horror, someone else entered the scene with the torches flashing in the room.

I watched him engage in action each time the torches went on. He distracted and attracted the attention of my enemies.

"Contratino!"

I heard a familiar voice that I recognised. It wasn't that long since I had an encounter with it.

"Contratino, I hope you ain't dead."

The new figure demanded to know my status while he fought my enemies.

He continued, "All my efforts would be for nothing."

His appearance gave me a huge break.

"All good and alive."

I responded in excitement as I struggled to catch my breath.

Can you imagine the glimpse of hope that filled me?

"Go I will hold them off."

The doubts I initially had were now cleared. It was indeed the black hitman, Tamandan Bongo.

"Black hitman, I appreciate the help and support. However, I can't go, at least not yet. I have unfinished business."

I replied, I couldn't just vanish. I had to cover my tracks. That was my habitual routine.

"What do you mean? I am putting my ass down on the line for you."

He angrily spat back. He felt disrespected by the lack of my gratitude.

Here a man sacrificed his life to save mine and I showed no sense of honoring him back.

"I didn't mean to disrespect you. I can't leave you behind. It's not just me."

I was a bit honest in what I just said. Apart from blowing it up to the ground I could not leave my only true friend in the midst of the fire. I intended not to see him go to waste this way.

"I am out of ideas here. You got one?"

He asked on top of his voice. He had absolutely been entangled in a hitted up fight.

"Observe my movements closely. I will give you a sign."

My voice gave the feedback on an high pitch.

Sometimes luck can be so generous. I managed to land my left fist on the male organs of the ninja assassin in combat with me.

He could not resist the pain he felt. He held his balls with two hands. I punched him on the chin and he fell to the ground with a thud.

I leaped up with a side kick which hit another on his head. The second I knocked him down I used the same dagger in my palm to stab his throat.

I could see four or five shadows around Tamandan Bongo, the Black hitman. He started using the very Ninja methods of leaving an explosion then disappearing. That technique pushed them away creating further distraction.

When the Merciless Ninjas caught sight of awareness of our trick. The door started closing and they came at us with an attempt to get a hold of us.

My Black hitman surprised them with a thrust of star blades. Causing them to evade them and delay a while until our door shut completely.

When we reached the ground level and out of the elevator I called,"Easter open the doors!"

"Into the car," I quickly informed Tamandan Bongo, the Black hitman.

Hurriedly we got in and the doors shut.

"Easter drive at your best speed, cover 300m in less than five minutes to the south."

Easter kickstarted the engine, drifted and off we were on the same direction we initially came from a few hours ago.

I pressed on my detonator, and blew up my container safe house. The cops nearby almost got blown away. They fled away from the explosion.

Having covered about 200m. In front of us I saw cops vehicles coming on the opposite side.

"Easter turn back!"

I instructed her in haste. I knew that if they caught us, it would be game over.

Easter reduced her speed before she made a quick drift of 180 degrees and we faced the same direction we came from.

Smoke from the tires covered the back of us just for a moment. Easter accelerated once more.

I needed 300 metres but it looks like I will have to use 200 metres to excite my plan. It meant double the speed.

"Do you always have this fun?"

Tamandan Bongo, the Black hitman asked in the middle of all this madness.

It struck me with absolute confusion and surprise. Originally I counted myself among the insane human beings. That's what they had called me so I began to believe it.

Apparently, it proved that I wasn't, I was just fighting for my life though I could not deny the adventure I enjoyed and it's thrilling whenever I encounter desperate situations.

"You call this fun?"

I pushed back, "Fasten your seat belt."

"Easter, could you give me your best top speed?"

I directed as I pushed on my aviation gasoline injunction button. It pumped in a force that caused my beautiful to triple her speed.

I then pressed on the remote button. The floor of my blown up container safe house descended downward on one end.

Creating a slanted curve as it reached my ground floor of the underground garage. I could see some particles of fire glowing.

The first speedometer for my Easter reached its maximum. The second picked up. I watched it raise up to a quarter then half.

My beautiful Easters' speed felt like she was about to fly any moment. My ears kind of shutted as my beautiful Easter leaped up in the sky like a rocket.
