Chapter 28 - Bashed

"Call it a gift card, for what you have done for me and happy tenth birthday to her. Don't lose it in case of unforeseen circumstances."

The sooner my words came to an end, my happy serene moments crumbled down into ashes. As we approached the border, a roadblock had been created.

I could not turn back now even If I wanted to. The entire army of Botswana would be on me. I had run out of strategies and pre-plans of cover and hiding. I did not have anything that I could use to disappear. I exhausted all the tricks.

In other words I did not have a roadmap, without a proper guide meant confusion and perplexity to me led to death.

I had to go forward, turning back wasn't an option I could take. If I made an attempt, where would I go? The shit I left behind became very stinky. In these Savana lands I had dug my own grave. I was not a super being, to keep pulling up miracles after miracles. I would one time miscalculate a move which would lead me to death.

I remembered the words from the holy book, "THE WAGES OF DEATH IS SIN."

Me and death are bad buddies. I hate it with passion. Being awake is better than being unconscious.

I craved life, I wanted to live. That is the reason why I did all I had to do in order to survive. Can you call me a bad person? Like the way I was on other people's tongues? You be the judge and whatever judgement you cast on me, imagine, if it were you in my shoes what would have done in such circumstances?

My beautiful Easter maintained the same speed for a while now, "Easter, get to the maximum speed."

There were more than 30 cops vehicles across the road. Their guns pointed at us. My partner in crime had his eyes transformed and bloodshot. I could feel his veracious aura fight mine.

I collected the remote from one of the shelves. I suppose the last resort in this deadly dead end. If anything unexpected happens, it would be game over and my ex-greedy family wins.

I calculated inside my heart the distance to be covered. The cops who created the roadblock were amazed that I did not reduce my speed but the Lamborghini Urus accelerated at really an incredible speed.

"Stop, I repeat stop or else we will open fire!"

An officer in charge gave a warning on his megaphone. When he did not get any feedback, he repeated. I got used to such words. They inflicted no fear in me.

I am sure he had received the authorization to gun me down. My record was bad enough already. It read that I was extremely dangerous to the civilian safety and insane.

I suppose I ranked first in their blacklist. Botswana is such a beautiful peaceful land. I really did enjoy the quietness of the Savanna land. The birds in the trees near the river were singing me lullabies.

Was it time for me to go to the next life? I hadn't completed my purpose here? Why did the birds sing me the lullabies? Did they call me to the other side?

If they were, I wasn't ready. I would not be ready any time soon. Life speaks to us, if you are attentive enough, you would know what it demands from you. In my case my energy was not yet used to the maximum. The world needed me.

"Fire!"

He commanded.

Bullets that erupted from the police men flicked as they bounced on my windshield, on the bonnet and on the headlamps. Others targeted my tires but my beautiful Easter withstood all the shootings.

Only big machines would be able to destroy her. The shootings in front of me tended to be child's play in my game book.

Tamandan Bongo, the Black hitman looked at me for answers. His eyes begged to give him a sign of hope. An assurance that things would be ok.

I am positive he judged me for dragging him into my messy chaotic world. Perhaps he regretted his decision to come to my rescue but who can blame him?

Who would want to find themselves in such a violent dark path instead of the beautiful sunny day, in a Hawaiian beach, in a bikini if female and in short pants if male. Relaxing with shades and drinking a beverage of your choice as an accompaniment? A loft dream, huh?

I punched the one button which could render me the only chance of escape. Out from the ground came an ion sheet.

It gave an upward slant. It also prevented the police from shooting at us.

I scrolled on my touch screen pad and tapped on the icon button that injected aviation gasoline into the engine of my beautiful Easter.

The aviation gasoline created a strong impulse combustion, it changed the sound of my beautiful Easter, it gave her a great powerful boost.

The two exhaust pipes spit out fire behind our ass. At this speed any pothole she hits would literally push us to topple over.

In a short while she curved on the ion sheet and flew high in the sky like a rocket shooting to space.

She went higher above the ten story buildings. I looked down and saw the river below us.

Instinctively, I unbuckled the seat belt for my partner in crime, Tamandan Bongo, the Black hitman, quickly opened the left door and I pushed him out. He screamed in flight. I didn't prepare him for that, nor did I plan to take such an action now.

One thing for sure my subconscious determined that he need not to follow my dark path. He had served his purpose for the time being.

I closed the door, "Easter bring out the parachute!"

My beautiful Easter was in the process of issuing out the parachute when we got bashed.
