Caspian wasn't thrilled when Crassus appointed him as Estella's trainer. He had enough responsibilities without the added burden of babysitting the alpha's mate. In his mind, Estella was just toying with the idea of being trained. Probably trying to prove something or, worse, playing around for the attention. He wasn't about to waste his time entertaining that.
As he stood in the empty training hall, arms folded across his chest, Caspian's mind spun, plotting different ways to rid himself of this unwanted duty. He couldn't outright refuse Crassus' order, but surely, there had to be a way to make Estella give up on her own. A grin nearly tugged at the corner of his lips when the perfect idea clicked into place. What if he pushed her so hard, made the training so unbearable, that she herself would march up to the alpha and demand a different trainer? Yes. That was the solution. She'd quit before the day is over, and he'd be off the hook.
