Chapter 4: love bug!

As the group finished they're exploration at the widows peak first floor. They go back to the two to give their report to what they have found inside.

As they're greeted by the group of adventurers gathered in the grand hall of the Adventurer's Guildgetting their own quest and missions some are drinking and selling their loots, surrounded by the bustling atmosphere of victorious warriors and bustling guild staff. Kieth stood tall but look bored, while princess Lyra eyes fix at Kieth's. who stood beside her, her hand subtly brushing against his.

Grimbold, the Guild Master, a stout dwarf with a thick beard, looked at the group with a keen eye. "You finished it so quick,I'm impressed! the infamous Widow's Peak dungeon, eh? I hear it's been quite the challenge for many adventurers."

Aleric, the group's leader, nodded. "Yes, Guild Master. We faced numerous challenges within the dungeon, but we managed to overcome them. And I must say, it was Josh's idea that ultimately led to our victory against Valtorix."

Josh, one of the renowned Five Heroes, looked slightly embarrassed but pleased with the acknowledgement.

Aleric continued, "His plan to use our unique skills in tandem allowed us to whittle down the hydra and emerge victorious. It was a bold strategy, and it paid off."

Grimbold nodded, his eyes twinkling with interest. "I see. And what of the loot? I hear Valtorix was guarding something quite valuable."

Lariel stepped forward, holding a small chest. "We found this chest in the hydra's lair, Guild Master. It contains a few gold coins, some precious gems, and...this."

She opened the chest, revealing a small, ornate box adorned with intricate runes. Grimbold's eyes widened as he reached for the box.

"By the gods...this is a fragment of the fabled Starheart Crystal!, indeed. Well done, adventurers! Your bravery and skill will not go unrewarded."

As Grimbold continued to praise the group, Kieth couldn't help but notice Lyra's gaze lingering on him, a soft smile playing on her lips. He felt a flutter in his chest, and for a moment, he forgot about the dangers they had faced and the uncertainty of their future. All he could think about was Lyra, and the spark that seemed to be growing between them.

As Grimbold finished his praise, the group shared a moment of triumph, their faces flushed with excitement and pride. Kieth, however, seemed to be avoiding Lyra's gaze, his eyes darting around the room as he shifted uncomfortably.

Lyra's eyes lingered on Kieth, a soft smile playing on her lips. She seemed to be savoring the moment, her gaze burning with an intensity that made Kieth's cheeks flush.

Grimbold's voice broke the spell, "Now, I know you're all eager to collect your rewards and take a well-deserved rest. But I have one more thing to discuss with you. The Guild has received reports of strange occurrences in the nearby forest. We're not sure what's causing it, but we need a team to investigate and put an end to it."

Aleric stepped forward, "We're happy to take on the task, Guild Master. We've had a good rest and are ready for our next challenge."

Grimbold nodded, "Very well. I'll provide you with more information and details. You can gather your gear and meet back here tomorrow morning to depart."

As the group began to disperse, Kieth quickly turned away, trying to escape Lyra's piercing gaze. He felt his heart racing, his face burning with embarrassment. He couldn't believe how shy he was being around Lyra, but he couldn't help the way he felt.

Meanwhile, in a secluded training grounds, Caine, Vismond, and Chris stood victorious, their armor battered and their swords still trembling with the force of their final blow. They had just defeated a giant minotaur, a formidable foe conjured by their trainer, Azura.

Azura, a powerful Phantaeon, nodded in approval. "Well done, heroes. Your skills have improved significantly. You are now level 150."

Caine, the group's de facto leader, bowed his head in respect. "Thank you, Azura. Your training has been invaluable."

Vismond, the group's strategist, analyzed their performance. "We still have much to learn, but our teamwork and strategy are improving."

Chris, the group's youngest member, grinned enthusiastically. "Yeah, and we're getting stronger! Can't wait for the next challenge."

Azura smiled, her eyes gleaming with a hint of pride. "I'm glad to see you're eager for more. Your next challenge is already prepared. Let's see how you fare against an even greater foe..."

Azura raised her hand, and the air around them began to distort. A massive, shadowy creature emerged from the void, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

"This is a Dark Wyrm," Azura explained, her voice steady. "A formidable foe that will test your skills, strategy, and teamwork."

Caine drew his sword, his eyes locked onto the Dark Wyrm. "Let's do this."

Vismond nodded, his hand on the hilt of his own sword. "We'll need to coordinate our attacks carefully. Chris, can you handle its magic?"

Chris nodded, his eyes shining with determination. "I've got this."

The battle began, the three heroes charging forward in perfect sync. The Dark Wyrm unleashed a wave of dark energy, but Chris countered it with a blast of holy magic. Caine and Vismond struck from either side, their swords slicing through the shadows.

As the fight raged on, Azura watched with a keen eye, analyzing their every move. She nodded to herself, impressed with their progress.

But just as it seemed they were gaining the upper hand, the Dark Wyrm unleashed a devastating blast of energy, sending the three heroes flying across the training grounds.

Azura's eyes narrowed. "It's not over yet. Get back up, heroes. You can do better."

Caine, Vismond, and Chris struggled to their feet, their armor battered and their bodies bruised. They shared a determined glance, their eyes burning with a fierce resolve.

Azura's voice echoed through the training grounds, her words dripping with anticipation. "This is your final test! After this, you'll be sent to find the last piece of the artifact. The fate of the realm rests on your shoulders."

The Dark Wyrm loomed before them, its eyes blazing with an otherworldly energy. Caine, Vismond, and Chris charged forward, their swords flashing in the dim light.

The battle raged on, the three heroes fighting with every ounce of strength they possessed. The Dark Wyrm unleashed wave after wave of dark energy, but they countered each attack with their combined strength.

Vismond landed a critical hit, striking the Dark Wyrm's weak point. Chris followed up with a blast of holy magic, weakening the creature further. Caine delivered the final blow, his sword slicing through the shadows to strike the Dark Wyrm's heart.

The creature dissipated into nothingness, leaving the three heroes standing victorious. Azura approached them, a hint of a smile on her face.

"Well done, heroes," she said, her voice filled with pride. "You've proven yourselves worthy of the task ahead. Now, go! Find the last piece of the artifact and save the realm!"

Meanwhile back again at the others after they prefer the gears they needed.

I stood awkwardly, trying to avoid Lyra's gaze. I couldn't believe how shy I was being around her. We had just finished a successful mission, and I should be feeling proud and confident. But instead, I felt like a nervous wreck.

Aleric clapped me on the back, breaking the spell. "Come on, Kieth. Let's get our rewards and gear up for the next mission."

I nodded, grateful for the distraction. As we walked away, I could feel Lyra's eyes on me. I dared a glance back, and our eyes met for a brief moment. I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body, and I quickly looked away, my heart racing.

Josh's words kept echoing in my mind: "Bruh, Princess Lyra is in love with you!" I couldn't believe it. Me? Kieth? A nobody, a noob, a weeb who likes to watch Isekai? It was too much to take in.

Notice! Player Kieth is now feeling nervous because his brain has released a cocktail of chemicals, including dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin, associated with attraction and attachment. The increased levels of these neurotransmitters are causing his heart to race, his palms to sweat, and his mind to become preoccupied with thoughts of Lyra.

Just as Kieth was trying to process his emotions, Metatron's voice echoed in his mind.

"Affirmative, Kieth. Neurological scan indicates increased activity in the ventral tegmental area, releasing dopamine and associating Lyra with pleasure. Logical conclusion: you are experiencing romantic attraction."

Kieth's face grew hot with embarrassment as Metatron continued.

"Interesting. Human brain's reward system is hijacked by oxytocin, often referred to as the 'cuddle hormone.' This explains your desire for physical proximity to Lyra."

Kieth's patience snapped, and he shot back, "Hahaha, very funny, Metatron! You're not helping with your crap!"

Metatron's robotic voice continued, "Calculating probability of successful romantic engagement... 74.32% chance of rejection, 21.15% chance of mutual interest, 4.53% chance of catastrophic emotional damage."

Kieth rolled his eyes, "Thanks for the vote of confidence, Metatron."

Metatron replied, "Affirmative, Kieth. Data-driven analysis is essential for optimal decision-making. Emotional attachment can impair cognitive function. It is illogical to ignore statistical probabilities."

Kieth sighed, "You're not helping, Metatron. Just shut up and let me figure this out myself."

Metatron fell silent, but Kieth could sense the AI's amusement at his expense. He shook his head, focusing on the task at hand. He had to navigate his feelings for Lyra, and he couldn't let Metatron's teasing distract him.

The grand hall of the United Nations of the mystical realms was filled with dignitaries from various kingdoms and nations. King Maluckis of the Beastmen, with his sharp claws and piercing eyes, sat alongside Queen Jessabel Oseidon of the Mermaids, whose shimmering scales caught the light of the crystal chandeliers.

Queen Valeria Eragon of the Dragonoids, with her majestic wings folded behind her, engaged in a heated discussion with King Eldrin Lockwood of the Elvin Kingdom, whose piercing gaze seemed to bore into the souls of those around him.

King Youm of the Dwarven Kingdom, his thick beard braided with tiny bones and gemstones, nodded thoughtfully as he listened to the debate. His sturdy frame and imposing presence commanded respect, and his deep voice rumbled like thunder as he spoke.

"King Youm's deep voice rumbled with conviction as he addressed the gathering of dignitaries. "My fellow leaders, I know we're all concerned about the looming threat of the demon lord, but I firmly believe we have a trump card in our midst. Kieth, the young summoner, has shown remarkable bravery and skill, and I have no doubt he'll play a crucial role in our victory alongside the four heroes."

King Youm's eyes gleamed with assurance as he continued, "We've seen ,I've seen it first hand of Kieth's potential. and I'm confident that with the heroes by his side, we'll be unstoppable. We must trust in their combined strength and let them lead the charge against the demon lord."

The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on King Youm, as the weight of his words sank in. Queen Valeria nodded thoughtfully, while King Maluckis's expression turned contemplative. Queen Jessabel's eyes sparkled with interest, and King Eldrin's gaze seemed to bore into the souls of those around him, as if searching for any sign of doubt .

"We must not underestimate the power of the heroes," King Youm continued, his eyes glinting with a fierce inner light. "They have proven themselves time and again, and we must trust in their ability to overcome the challenges ahead."

Representatives from smaller nations, such as the Centaurs, Minotaurs, and Harpies, listened intently to the debate.

"The five-year ceasefire has held thus far," Queen Jessabel said, her voice like music. "But we must remain vigilant. The demon lord Xandros is not one to be trusted."

King Maluckis growled, "I agree. We cannot let our guard down, not even for a moment. The heroes may be searching for the last piece of the artifact, but we must be prepared for any eventuality."

Queen Valeria nodded, her wings rustling softly. "I concur. We must maintain our military strength and be prepared to defend our nations at a moment's notice."

King Eldrin leaned forward, his eyes glinting with intensity. "We must also consider the role of the heroes in this fragile peace. They are the key to unlocking the secrets of the artifact, and their success is crucial to our survival."

The room fell silent as the weight of King Eldrin's words sank in. The fate of their nations, and indeed the entire mystical realm, hung in the balance.
