Ryder was about to help Cici up when she suddenly swayed, her body going limp in his arms. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she let out a soft, weak sigh before completely collapsing against him.
"Cici?!" Ryder's voice was sharp with concern, his arms tightening around her.
Lily and Vicky turned to look, and Lily immediately scoffed. "Oh, come on. Really?"
Vicky, however, frowned. "She just fainted, Lily. This isn't the time."
Ryder ignored them both and carefully lifted Cici into his arms. She felt so light, so fragile. His brows furrowed as he carried her toward the couch and gently laid her down.
"Call the doctor," he ordered, his voice edged with urgency.
Vicky pulled out his phone and made the call while Lily stood over them, arms crossed. "I swear, if she's faking—"
"Lily, shut up," Ryder snapped, shooting her a glare.
Lily rolled her eyes but said nothing.
