"Oh, I see. If you're not in a hurry, I'll have someone deliver it to you right away."
Hearing Tohka's words, Nick Fury sighed in relief. Then, he lost interest, as this matter wasn't under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s jurisdiction but rather the responsibility of the police.
After all, they were only responsible for crimes involving superpowered individuals. If they took on everything, they'd be exhausted.
However, since it involved stopping crime, Nick Fury didn't object to their actions either.
"Then, thank you."
Hearing this, Tohka sighed in relief. She knew that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s equipment was at least better than anything she could buy on her own.
Otherwise, if her clothes accidentally tore during action, that would be quite embarrassing.
Soon after, before even an hour had passed, there was a knock on the door.
Then, someone delivered a box to her. Seeing this, Tohka couldn't help but admire their efficiency.
New York's traffic was notoriously bad—enough to drive most people crazy—so she was surprised at how fast they arrived.
"Hmm, this fits so well. These guys really know their stuff."
Opening the box and putting on the outfit inside, Tohka found that it fit her perfectly.
She hadn't even gone through any measurements, yet both Tony and Fury had given her outfits that fit just right.
So, Tohka was completely at a loss for words about those guys.
"Let me see... a handgun, a knife, throwing darts... Why is there so much stuff? This guy really thinks highly of me. Oh, there's even a mask."
Tohka realized that Nick Fury truly had high expectations for her. Did he really think she would need all of this?
Looking at all the gear, Tohka thought for a moment and decided to take just a dagger and a handgun.
Honestly, she wasn't even sure she'd need them.
"Hmm? Spidey, where are you? Okay, got it."
At that moment, Spider-Man called to inform her of the meeting time.
However, after checking the time, Tohka realized there was still plenty of time, so she grabbed some food from the fridge and started eating.
After all, her king had once said, "Food is the greatest enemy."
So, Tohka decided to eat her fill before heading out. As for Spider-Man? She didn't really care.
After finishing her meal, Tohka received another message from Spider-Man.
She quickly arrived at her destination, but...
"Who is that? Why is he fighting Spider-Man?"
As she got closer, Tohka saw that Spider-Man was fighting someone.
That wasn't the surprising part—the surprising part was that they were evenly matched.
It wasn't until she got closer that she saw who the opponent was.
He was a man dressed in a red bodysuit with a mask.
What caught Tohka's attention the most was that his eyes were covered, completely different from Spider-Man.
Clearly, either this guy had extremely good vision, or he was completely blind.
"You are... Oh my god, I didn't realize you had such a great figure?"
Seeing Tohka descend from above, dressed in a black stealth suit with a mask, Spider-Man, who was in the middle of an intense fight, suddenly leaped back out of the battle.
Then, both he and the other fighter warily watched each other.
However, after hearing Tohka's voice, Spider-Man relaxed.
He then looked at her with surprise. He was used to seeing her in loose sportswear, and as a high schooler, he had no idea what her figure actually looked like.
Only now, with her wearing a tight-fitting athletic outfit, did her curves become apparent.
"If you say that one more time, I'll have grilled spider for dinner tonight."
Tohka stared at Spider-Man with deadpan eyes, seriously considering whether to roast him on the spot.
However, she quickly noticed the other man, who was looking at her warily. "Who are you? And why were you two fighting? Did you run into a rival?"
"Uh, I guess so. I was tracking those guys when I ran into this person. But from the looks of it, we might have the same target. So, we ended up fighting."
Hearing Tohka's words, Spider-Man awkwardly scratched his head.
Earlier, he had assumed this guy was a sentry for the enemy and charged in without hesitation.
But once they started fighting, he realized it wasn't that easy to take him down, which made him calm down.
Both of them had been fighting while keeping their movements minimal to avoid alerting the people below. If Tohka hadn't suddenly descended from above, she might not have even noticed the battle.
"Who are you two, and why are you interfering in this? I've been watching them for a long time—today is their deal."
The masked man stood tensely opposite them, not looking directly at them.
However, both Tohka and Spider-Man knew that if they made any sudden moves, this guy would attack instantly.
Previously, Spider-Man alone had struggled against him. Now, with Tohka added to the equation—and her presence giving off an even stronger pressure—it made the situation even more intense.
He couldn't afford to be careless. Although neither of them seemed to be villains, he had to be cautious just in case.
"I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! And this is my friend, uh... never mind, she doesn't have a codename yet. What about you? Mind introducing yourself?"
At that moment, Spider-Man almost blurted out Tohka's real name.
But considering they weren't familiar with this guy, and the fact that Tohka was clearly trying to conceal her identity with her outfit, he held back.
"I'm Daredevil. You're Spider-Man, right? The new guy who showed up recently?"
Alright, so this guy had heard of Spider-Man's name but, being blind, didn't recognize his costume—hence why they ended up fighting.
"Daredevil..."
Alright, since this guy wasn't particularly famous, and hadn't even made it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tohka had only vaguely heard of him.
However, she didn't know much about him. She vaguely remembered that he was a lawyer.
In American society, that meant he was part of the upper-middle class.
"Since we're not enemies, we can talk. How about teaming up? I see the enemy has quite a few people. Another ally means more strength."
At this moment, Spider-Man glanced at the dimly lit street below.
Although the lighting wasn't great, they could still see dozens of people gathered there.
And this was just one side—the deal hadn't even started yet. Once the other party arrived, the scene would be even bigger. Not to mention the lookouts hiding in the shadows.
"Sure, that works."
Hearing Spider-Man's suggestion, Daredevil nodded. Clearly, he also knew that taking on this many people alone would be difficult.
