Chapter 62 - Teaming Up

"However..." Even though he agreed to team up, Daredevil still cast a suspicious glance at Tohka. There was no helping it—this guy didn't even have a codename, so how could he not be suspicious?

"Don't worry, her reputation is far greater than the two of us combined. She just can't reveal her identity due to certain reasons." This wasn't a lie. He had only recently started his career and hadn't done anything significant yet, so his fame wasn't that big. As for Daredevil, his ruthless methods often resulted in casualties, which made the media unwilling to report his 'glorious deeds.' As a result, aside from gangsters or those who had been targeted by him, few people knew about him. In contrast, Tohka's activities often had some connection to the government or military, and her operations were always on a grand scale, making her widely known. To be honest, the amount of money spent on cleaning up after her must be astronomical. But there was no choice—these were problems they created themselves, and if no one stepped in to handle the aftermath, it wouldn't just be a matter of losing money.

"Alright." Hearing Spider-Man's words, Daredevil, though curious about Tohka's identity, decided not to ask further. After all, he also concealed his identity to avoid unnecessary trouble.

"Looks like they're here. Tsk tsk, what a spectacle." At that moment, they noticed another group arriving. Just by rough estimation, there were already over a hundred people below, clearly gathering for a deal.

"I've been keeping an eye on these people for a while," Daredevil said as he analyzed the situation below. "This gang isn't very big. What you see here is almost all of them. But recently, they took out a rival gang nearby, which gave them the confidence to conduct this deal with foreign buyers."

"Now that everyone's here, let's get started. Daredevil, you and I will take out the scouts first to remove their eyes. Once you see our signal, just charge in." After analyzing the enemy's formation, he knew Tohka's abilities well and had no intention of letting her sneak around like the two of them. Mainly because he was afraid that one careless move from Tohka might cause a massive explosion. And given his understanding of Tohka's impulsive nature, the probability of such a thing happening was over 80%."

"Got it, let's go." Though puzzled as to why Tohka was being assigned to direct combat, Daredevil didn't question it since he didn't fully understand her strength. He took the lead, jumping down and heading in a specific direction.

"Hold on, don't act too soon," Spider-Man reminded Tohka before jumping down and crawling in another direction. Left alone on the rooftop, Tohka sighed helplessly, feeling the cold wind against her face. She knew that with her abilities, quietly eliminating the enemies was nearly impossible. "Hopefully, they're quick enough so I don't have to wait too long."

Just as Tohka was zoning out, she suddenly felt her phone vibrate. She opened it and saw a new message with just two words: 'Take action.'

"Haha, finally, I can go all out!" Seeing this, Tohka jumped directly from the rooftop where she was standing. She landed without slowing down at all, crashing right in the middle of the two opposing groups, smashing a large dent into a small van.

"..." With a loud bang, both groups in the middle of the deal were momentarily stunned. Clearly, they hadn't expected someone to jump down from such a height. After all, they had checked the surrounding buildings beforehand and even had people watching.

"Open fire." However, both sides reacted quickly. Everyone aimed their guns at Tohka and opened fire simultaneously.

"Hmph." With a cold snort, Tohka thought that in her previous life, she would have been scared stiff. But now, not to mention facing these light firearms—even an entire U.S. armored division wouldn't make her flinch. However, that didn't mean she would just stand there and take their attacks; after all, that would make it too easy to expose her identity. This time, she was intentionally keeping her abilities hidden.

Tohka immediately leaped forward and charged toward the nearest person, landing a punch that knocked him down.

Worried about hitting their own people, the gunmen slightly eased their firepower. Tohka then dashed toward the next target, dodging most of the bullets coming her way. The occasional round that did hit was blocked by her protective shield, but since the shots were few, the attackers didn't notice anything unusual.

Just like that, Tohka advanced under gunfire, taking down enemy after enemy. Of course, some tried to escape, but they were quickly taken down by Spider-Man's webbing or Daredevil's baton. The two had joined the fight, eliminating enemies from the outside in. In no time, the heavily armed gang was completely subdued by just the three of them. The battlefield was littered with unconscious bodies, leaving only the three of them standing unharmed.

"Tsk tsk, let me see what we've got here. You actually used guns and knives? Your fists are already scary enough." At this moment, Spider-Man crouched down and checked one of the gangsters that Tohka had knocked out. He noticed that she hadn't used her usual greatsword today but had still taken down everyone effortlessly. To be honest, he had mentally prepared himself to see a few buildings get sliced apart by her. Then, with a few shots of his webbing, he sealed the wounds of the injured gangsters—he didn't want them to die.

"Hmph, I'm not stupid. Besides, these weaklings don't require anything more than this." Tohka scoffed as she glanced dismissively at the fallen enemies. She hadn't even needed to exert much strength.

"Hmph, let's see what these guys were actually after. A typical drug deal wouldn't require such a big operation." Unlike the law-abiding Spider-Man, Daredevil had a more violent approach to justice and didn't care about the wounded. However, since none of them had gone for the kill, he had also held back a bit. Aside from the scouts, all of the gang members were simply knocked unconscious.

"Alright, let's see what these guys were actually buying." The two of them then walked toward the van that Tohka had crashed into.

"Oh my God, this is a bit too much!" As the van doors opened, even Tohka was momentarily blinded by the sight... though not literally, since Daredevil was blind to begin with.
