"Finally gone, disturbing my rest so early in the morning, so annoying." After Nick Fury finally left, Tohka thought there wasn't much of importance. The only thing that left a deep impression on her was the food in Asgard, and she knew nothing about anything else. The government system seemed a bit like a feudal monarchy, and as for the military... well, Nick Fury didn't manage to ask anything useful.
"Forget it, since I can't sleep, might as well go out and have some fun." Watching Nick Fury leave with his secretary, Tohka rolled around on her bed and decided to go out. As for school, no one was pressuring her, and Tohka wasn't going to go no matter what. "By the way, maybe indulging in being a superhero for a while isn't a bad idea."
Anyway, there's still quite a bit of time before the Avengers form, so since New York hasn't been completely torn apart yet, Tohka decided to enjoy herself. After all, she hadn't really explored much of New York despite being here for so long. Though she knew there were plenty of shady areas not suited for tourists, she didn't care. Worst-case scenario, she'd get into a fight, and she wasn't afraid of anyone. After deciding this, Tohka jumped out of her window, or rather, she hadn't used the front door in quite a while.
"Indeed, New York looks beautiful from the air." Tohka then flew in her Iron Armor to the top of a skyscraper, removed her mask, and gazed down at the entire city. She had to admit, as one of the world's top-tier metropolises, New York appeared extremely prosperous. At least from up high, she couldn't spot any issues, so she covered her mask again.
"Jarvis, connect me to the network. I want to see if there's anything interesting going on in New York lately. Hmm, never mind, also connect me to the police radio." Since nothing seemed to be happening, she decided to find something on her own. So, Tohka instructed Jarvis to connect her to the police radio and the official websites of New York's largest news companies.
"Let me see... how come it's still about the mess I caused these past couple of days? Are they ever going to stop?" Opening several websites, Tohka immediately saw that the reports were still about her actions. There was no helping it, these two incidents had almost happened simultaneously, and both had caused parts of New York to be destroyed. This stirred public outrage. Ivan Vanko was a bit luckier—he just pushed out Hammer. At least now, Hammer's assets were likely being watched by the government, and they clearly intended to make him pay. As for the other incident with the Hulk, that wasn't so easy to handle, because their previous battles had become public knowledge. Though the blame had been put on General Ross, the military's involvement couldn't be washed away. It was just a storm of public criticism. As for herself, Tohka had noticed that the reports about her had decreased considerably over the past few days.
"Forget it, block these two stories for me. Let's see if there are any other news, even if it's not the latest hot topic." Looking at all the reports on those incidents, Tohka had Jarvis block them. While the praise was gratifying, that wasn't her goal.
"Sure enough, it's much quieter now. Let's see, here's a new masked man, referred to as the city's pest like a spider. This is... well, it's a familiar face. They've been watching him for a while." At this moment, Tohka recognized a familiar figure. It was a man in a tight suit who could crawl up walls. This was Peter Parker, although at the moment, he hadn't donned his Spider-Man suit yet and was just a masked man in a tight suit. In these few days, he had caught quite a few robbers, which made the police very upset. The more he did this, the more it highlighted the incompetence of the New York police. As for the paper calling him a "city pest," it was the New York Herald, Spider-Man's lifelong enemy. What surprised Tohka was that Peter Parker was already being targeted at the start of his career, and he hadn't even been named Spider-Man yet.
"Jarvis, can you find Peter Parker now? I remember his leave hasn't ended yet." Seeing this, Tohka suddenly became interested and spoke to Jarvis.
"No problem, Miss. I'll retrieve the necessary data." As soon as Tohka finished speaking, Jarvis began searching for the data. But what made her speechless wasn't that, it was that this guy silently accessed the surveillance system. Then, using his super high computational power, he began searching for suitable targets among New York's many cameras. Sure enough, Tony really did think outside the box.
Tohka silently complained and didn't care to think about it further. Soon, Jarvis found Spider-Man's figure in a nearby district. Seeing this, Tohka didn't hesitate and jumped from the high building, flying toward that district.
"Is that Spider-Man?" As Tohka passed by the New York Police Department, she heard Spider-Man's voice. At that moment, he was using his webs to tie up a person and was running between skyscrapers, clearly heading for the police station. Seeing this, Tohka didn't immediately interfere but watched as he theatrically hung the suspect on the police station's front door before leaving. However, since Tohka was flying, her speed was much faster than Spider-Man's. She seized the opportunity when he wasn't paying attention, grabbed him, and flew up.
"Wow, Tohka, put me down!" Peter Parker, who was suddenly grabbed, was startled. Since Tohka had no ill intentions, Spider-Man's reflexes didn't foresee it in time, so Peter was caught off guard. However, when he saw who had grabbed him, he breathed a sigh of relief. Thanks to the news these past few days, Tohka and Tony's suits were already well-known in New York. Not to mention the different paint jobs, even the energy was different. Tony's suit emitted normal yellow flames when accelerating, but since Tohka used her own energy, her suit emitted blue-purple flames when moving forward. Additionally, the energy attached to the suit made it look like a purple crystal. At least, visually, it was way cooler than Tony's. Tony had privately been envious of it. The show-off that he was, he would have loved to be the most impressive one, and he had even considered making changes, but after realizing it wasn't worth it, he gave up. After all, he didn't have Tohka's kind of energy.
