Chapter 54 - Returning to Earth

"Didn't I tell you before? I predicted the future. 'Ragnarok,' a catastrophe that could destroy the Nine Realms, will arrive on some future day. And that girl will be our hope." Odin spoke with his wise, single eye, "Furthermore, the other realms are not stable. Her presence is enough to intimidate some of those with ill intentions. As for her strength, it's definitely not as simple as it seems."

"Impossible, that girl is already very strong. Even I might not be able to defeat her. Could she be hiding other powers?" After hearing Odin's words, Thor was a bit skeptical. After all, he could feel that even if he went all out, he couldn't be sure he could defeat Tohka. This already indicated that Tohka was one of the top-tier warriors in Asgard, but when it came to having the power to intimidate everyone, she still lacked a bit.

"Of course, but it's not exactly hidden. Don't you think that little girl is a bit too pure? As the foundation supporting the entire kingdom, it's impossible for her to be that pure." Odin glanced at his eldest son before continuing, "So, it's very likely that the girl isn't the true foundation of the kingdom, at least not yet. Right now, she can only be considered a vessel. If we push her too far, and if the true kingdom manifests, it will be difficult for us to keep her. If we're not careful, it could trigger another disaster."

"Kingdom..." After hearing Odin's words, Thor didn't say much more. Instead, he turned his gaze to the distance, where there was a blue planet. But he couldn't deny that, even after only a few days, he had already grown fond of that planet.

What Odin and Thor discussed, Tohka wasn't sure. She had already arrived on Earth, and while it was still afternoon earlier, now the sky had completely turned dark. However, neither Coulson nor Jane had left.

"How is he? Where's Thor?" As soon as Jane saw Tohka, she and Coulson immediately ran over. Looking at Tohka, who was dressed in armor, Jane couldn't help but ask about Thor's whereabouts.

"He asked me to tell you that, as the heir to Asgard, he has just gone through some turmoil. He must stay there to stabilize the situation, so he can't come to Earth for now. He also told me that when he returns, I will help him contact you. Also, what's your contact information? Please let me know."

"Okay, I'll give it to you." After hearing Tohka's words, Jane nodded without hesitation and gave her contact information. However, the disappointed expression on her face was impossible to hide, though she didn't say much more. After learning Thor's true identity, she understood the kind of mission her man was carrying.

"Alright, Miss Tohka, let's head back. We don't need to discuss the matter here; tomorrow, Director Fury will personally visit you." After Jane left, Coulson stepped up to Tohka. It was clear he had already reported the situation to Nick Fury. After all, he was the only one on Earth who had been to Asgard, which was why Nick Fury had come personally.

"I understand, but I'll head back to New York myself. After all, your plane is just too slow." After hearing Coulson's words, Tohka nodded and activated her Iron Armor, flying directly into the sky. Then, with a burst of speed, she reached her maximum velocity and disappeared from Coulson's sight.

"Forget it, it's been a long day and these old bones of mine are tired. It's time to go back and rest." Looking helplessly at the empty wasteland, Coulson returned to his car and drove off. As everyone left, the desert returned to its quiet state, leaving only a symbol in the sand, marking the end of an eventful day.

"Finally back." Sighing in relief, Tohka arrived at her home in New York. She noticed that it was almost identical to how it was before the destruction. Looks like the government had done a thorough job, but just to be safe, she asked Jarvis to check for surveillance cameras. Of course, this was a bit unnecessary, since if they had installed surveillance, they had plenty of time to do so. After all, this wasn't Tony's villa, and the defenses weren't that tight, so installing cameras would have been easy.

Then, the eyes of the Iron Armor emitted a beam, scanning the entire room.

"Miss, there are no cameras inside the room. However, there are a few hidden cameras in the hallway. Should I handle them?" Jarvis quickly sent the scanning results to Tohka.

"No need to bother, as long as it's not inside the room, it's fine." Tohka didn't care. It seemed like the others knew she was a member of the Stark family, so they didn't take any action but just installed a few more cameras in the hallway. Tohka didn't mind. Although she didn't know the habits of Americans, in China, surveillance cameras were practically everywhere, so she was already used to it and didn't care to investigate further. She just lay on her bed to sleep. After all, with all the major and minor events piled up over the past few days, she was about to go crazy. Moreover, according to Coulson, Nick Fury would personally visit her soon.

Sure enough, early the next morning, Tohka was woken up by a knock on the door. She quickly put on her clothes and opened the door, only to see Nick Fury, dressed in a black trench coat, standing in front of her door, with a secretary-like person behind him, clearly there to take notes.

"Hello, Miss Tohka. This is my assistant, Hill. I won't say much, but I'd like to ask about your experiences in Asgard." Once inside, Fury introduced his secretary and then got straight to the point, asking Tohka about the purpose of his visit. He didn't waste time with pleasantries, as he knew from his understanding of Tohka that it was better to ask directly. After all, if you give a hint and the other person doesn't catch it, it could become awkward.

"Tch, why are you in such a hurry, not even letting me rest for a while?" Looking at the two sitting in her living room, Tohka could only take a tea cup and make a cup of tea for each of them.

"Can't help it, you're the only person who has come into contact with an alien civilizations. You don't know, after the events of yesterday were reported back, the whole of America nearly exploded. It even caught the attention of the President. Although S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't directly serve the U.S. now, more than half of our funding still comes from the U.S., so we have to accommodate them."
