"What does magic smell like?" After seeing Tohka's actions, Coulson mimicked her and sniffed, then said, "It smells like sweat?"
"Stay away from me, I already have a family." Hawkeye gave Coulson a disgusted glance and pushed him away. Tohka was fine since she was just a little girl, but Coulson, what was he doing, being a grown man?
"You seem to have been affected by magic, but fortunately, it's just a minor suggestion-type magic, so it won't harm you." Ignoring the two of them, Tohka spoke to the others. If you ask her how she knew, it's strange, but somehow her mind had gained additional information about magic. She couldn't figure out why, so she decided not to think about it—after all, it's just a type of magic, not how to use it.
"Isn't magic something from novels and myths? It's completely unscientific." Of course, Coulson was the first to not believe Tohka's words. He didn't think magic existed in this world, after all, since modern times, this world had been ruled by science.
"Then do you think I'm scientific?" Upon hearing Coulson's words, Tohka immediately countered.
"Not scientific." Coulson didn't deny this at all. In his eyes, just Tohka's outfit alone was enough to confuse him. They had even used existing data to estimate the strength of Tohka's shield. The result shocked everyone because almost all conventional weapons couldn't penetrate it. As for nuclear weapons, that was unknown—they couldn't exactly test it with a real nuclear weapon.
"Then that's fine, no need to think so much. Don't you have surveillance? Just look and you'll know, though I bet you won't find any useful clues." Tohka couldn't be bothered to explain further, especially since she couldn't explain even if she tried. After all, she could only destroy, and as for these strange magics, she didn't know how to use them.
"Alright, I'll investigate right away." However, after hearing Tohka's words, both Coulson and Hawkeye realized something was odd. After all, it was hard to capture someone related to the matter, and they had released them without even properly questioning them—that would be something even an idiot wouldn't do.
Now, both of them had tacitly accepted Tohka's words, though they hadn't voiced their agreement since they didn't believe magic existed in this world. Tohka didn't mind, and followed the two into the temporary base.
However, she didn't bother with the two investigating the surveillance; instead, she hung up the consultant badge Nick Fury gave her and walked straight toward the deepest part of the facility.
Because she felt an extremely powerful magical fluctuation in there. This was also the first time Tohka had encountered something like this on Earth. She didn't know if such a fluctuation existed at Kamar-Taj, but she certainly hadn't felt it before. As for whether her own power could be considered magic, she didn't really know.
"Is this Thor's hammer?" Since she had the consultant badge and was brought in by Coulson, no one stopped her. The people in the control room didn't give any orders either. They knew Tohka was sent by Nick Fury, and even the Hydra agent, the bald-headed Sitwell, had no reason to stop her. So Tohka easily made her way to the center, where Thor's hammer was placed.
"What abundant magic power, is this the power of Thor?" She reached out and stroked the patterns on the hammer. Tohka knew this was Thor's power; evidently, Odin had made this into the key to unlocking his strength.
"Tohka, you're here! Phew, we found it. Just as you said, yesterday a suspicious person came here." At this moment, Coulson arrived in front of Tohka, holding a player and placing it in front of her. On the video, a man dressed in black appeared, swaggering in. No one, whether guards or research staff, paid him any attention. He walked straight into the room where Thor was held, opened the door, and went in. After a few words between them, the man left, and shortly after, Thor was released.
"Didn't you record any audio?" Seeing this, Tohka was speechless. This person was obviously Thor's "good brother," Loki. What was this guy thinking, walking in so arrogantly? Did he forget to hide his presence, or did he just look down on humans?
"Yeah, I don't know what happened either. I clearly saw their mouths moving, but the recorder we had in there didn't pick up anything. We don't know what they were talking about." Coulson was also a bit helpless. These strange things were piling up one after another.
"Is this our goal? This hammer that no one can lift?" Tohka didn't pay any more attention to the matter. This was obviously Loki's doing. After all, he wasn't foolish—there were some things he wouldn't let them know.
"Yes, this is it. So, Miss Tohka, would you like to try lifting it? It's really been giving us a headache." Looking at the hammer, Coulson also looked troubled. This thing was a real problem for them. They couldn't take it with them, so they had to build a base here to research it.
"I'll try now." Upon hearing Coulson's words, Tohka grabbed the handle of the hammer.
"Wait a minute." Seeing this, Coulson was startled.
"?"
"Wait, hold on. Get the equipment ready to record this." Seeing this, Coulson immediately shouted into his communicator, "Don't miss a single piece of data, these are precious materials. Yes, alright, like that. Okay, Miss Tohka, you're good to go."
"......"
Tohka stared at him speechlessly. She knew that Coulson wasn't just trying to collect data on the hammer. He was collecting data on her as well. Tohka couldn't be bothered, and if they managed to gather anything from this, it would be a miracle. Aside from the time in the desert, she had never used her full strength until now.
"I'll lift it." Since Coulson had said that, Tohka didn't waste any more time. Using her full strength, she grabbed the hammer and began to lift it. At that moment, everyone, including Coulson, held their breath. Their eyes were fixed on Tohka, afraid of missing any details. After all, of all the known people, Tohka was the one most likely to lift the hammer.
