Chapter 43 - Untitled

"Tony, how's it going on your side?" Looking at the completely destroyed Iron Soldiers, Tohka once again contacted Tony on the other side.

"You've already solved it?!!" Upon hearing Tohka's words, Tony was a bit surprised, but his tone soon turned frustrated. "That Ivan Vanko is truly despicable, he took control of Rhodey's armor. By the way, how's Pepper now?"

"She's fine. She's gone to find that idiot Hammer backstage. Hopefully, they can figure something out." Looking at the wreckage everywhere, and seeing that the crowd had already scattered due to her drawing the fire, Tohka also flew towards the backstage.

Soon, she found Pepper and Hammer in front of a computer. At that moment, both of them were frantically pacing like ants on a hot pan.

"Have the Iron Soldiers outside been cleared?" Seeing Tohka arriving, Pepper finally let out a sigh of relief. The fact that Tohka could make it here meant there were no more Iron Soldiers outside, which was the only good news at the moment.

"Except for the batch behind Tony, everything else has been cleared." Tohka casually answered Pepper's question and walked up to a sweating Hammer. As for this unlucky fool, Tohka couldn't be bothered to settle scores with him right now, as he'd eventually get his due. However, she was more concerned about another issue. "So, is there a way to disable Ivan Vanko's remote control here? At this rate, there could be significant casualties at any moment."

"No way. That guy seems to have locked the system. If we find his control machine, we can still disable the control over Rhodey's armor." Before Hammer could say anything, Pepper quickly explained to Tohka. "I've already sent someone over, hope it's not too late. Also, Tohka, you need to rush over and assist Tony. Hmm, there's no need to get too close, we don't want the situation to spiral out of control."

"I got it, I'll head over right away." After hearing Pepper's words, Tohka immediately ran out. However, she didn't take off immediately; instead, she opened her communication device in an empty spot.

"Phew, finally here. This should be the place. I hope it doesn't fall through, or else my commission will be gone." On the other side, a guy wearing a black and red bodysuit stood in front of a house, with his phone showing the disastrous scene at a press conference on the other side. At this moment, he was a bit anxious since time was running out for him.

"It's time to make my move. If I don't do this, I'll admit I'm just unlucky." He casually put his phone away, and Deadpool drew his dual swords, ready to cause a commotion. But just then, the roar of an engine sounded. Soon, a car sped toward him at over 100 miles per hour. Just as it was about to get close to the building where he was standing, the car made a smooth and agile stop. Then, a fat man and a curvaceous, mature red-haired beauty rushed out of the car.

"Yo, hey, beautiful, how about a date tonight?" Well, Deadpool's old habits kicked in again. Upon seeing the beautiful woman, he completely forgot about his mission and couldn't help but flirt with her.

"Who are you? Aren't you the bodyguard that Hammer hired?" Unfortunately, Deadpool got unlucky this time because the woman was sharp. Before the car even arrived, Black Widow had already spotted Deadpool standing at the company's entrance. Given the current situation, seeing a heavily armed Deadpool at the door naturally made her assume he was an enemy. As soon as the car stopped, she swiftly jumped out and pressed a knife to his neck.

"Beautiful lady, please spare me! I'm a good citizen, a good citizen! Look at how handsome, charming, and debonair I am—how could I possibly be the kind of person you're talking about? As long as you're here, this beautiful lady, I'll immediately surrender and fall at your feet. You know what I mean, right? How could I possibly serve that toe-picking big guy Ivan Vanko..." Who is Deadpool? Even with a knife to his neck, he was unfazed and still in the mood to joke around.

"Tell me, how do you know Ivan Vanko is inside?" Black Widow frowned as she looked at Deadpool, especially after hearing Ivan Vanko's name, her body tensing, ready to strike at any moment. If it weren't for her battle instincts telling her that the person in front of her wasn't weak and was extremely troublesome, she would have already struck with a knife. But even so, thinking about the distant battle, all she wanted now was to sew Deadpool's mouth shut, which never seemed to stop talking.

"I..." Deadpool was about to say something when his phone suddenly rang. "Hold on a second, let me take this call."

"Hello, this is..." Calmly, Deadpool moved the knife Black Widow had placed on his neck aside and answered his phone. Before he could say anything else, the voice from the phone drowned out all his words.

"What are you doing, hurry up! Do you want your commission or not? It's already started, and things are spiraling out of control. What the hell are you doing? If this goes on, I'll make you refund the deposit!" Knowing what kind of person he was, Tohka wasn't going to let him speak, so as soon as the call connected, she immediately brought up the commission issue.

"Sorry, miss, please don't do that. I'm in a tough spot here, and I also ran into two other people. Should we deal with them too?"

"Two other people? Who are they?" After hearing Deadpool's words, Tohka paused for a moment, then suddenly thought of two people. "Is it a red-haired woman and a fat driver?"

"Yes, that's them."

"Kill them? They're allies! Hurry up and go inside, don't waste time at the door." Knowing the identities of those two, Tohka immediately gave the order and hung up the phone. Then, with a burst of speed, she took off and flew towards Tony, who was not far away and was employing a kite tactic.

"Alright, seems like the boss has given the orders. Let's hurry inside, or my commission is going down the drain." Deadpool was about to say something more when he realized the phone had already been hung up. He could only helplessly look at Black Widow and Hogan, saying he wasn't in the mood to cause more trouble for now.

"Got it, let's go." Due to the distance and Deadpool's intention to stay alert, Black Widow hadn't even heard the voice from the phone. But clearly, now wasn't the time to dwell on that; after hearing Deadpool's opinion, she chose to temporarily team up with him.
