Lily sat on the couch, deep in thought, still trying to process Rita's unexpected visit. The door creaked open, snapping her out of her daze. Gina walked in.
"Did Rita come to see you?" she asked, taking Lily by surprise.
So she saw her leaving…
Lily let out a heavy, exhausted sigh and leaned back. "Yes," she replied, her voice tired.
Gina frowned and took a seat beside her. "Why?"
She already knew Lily harbored strong feelings against Rita. Despite Rita's seemingly friendly demeanor, Lily always kept her distance, detached and cold.
Lily closed her eyes, resting her head against the edge of the headrest. Her mind swirled with the remnants of their conversation.
She still had no idea how Rita had managed to find her address. But what followed after her arrival was what truly caught Lily off guard.
