Chapter 94 - Chapter 94

"Roar!" He roared towards the sky, exuding his kingly dominance.

In the next second, without giving the wolf under his claws a chance to resist, he lowered his head and bit through its neck, then tossed the lifeless body aside.

The other four wolves bared their teeth at Song Zhan, unwilling to give up so easily.

The four wolves seemed to reach a silent agreement, and from four directions, they lunged at Song Zhan simultaneously.

Song Zhan squinted his yellow eyes, filled with killing intent.

At that moment, two figures rushed out—one black, one brown.

The two figures immediately launched their attacks.

Hei Yao spat a mouthful of fire at one wolf, while his tail wrapped around another.

Meanwhile, Cheng Mo unleashed countless wind blades, slicing through the other two wolves.

Song Zhan glanced at the newcomers and sighed.

Oh well.

Just when the fight was getting exciting, these two show up and take over. He hadn't had enough yet.

Hei Yao swiftly killed two wolves, and so did Cheng Mo.

"You guys arrived just in time," Song Zhan said, looking at them.

"What happened?" Cheng Mo asked, glancing at Song Zhan and noticing the unconscious boy on the ground. He narrowed his eyes, suspecting the boy had something to do with it.

"It was him. He was being chased by wolves near here. Bai Di and I sensed it, so we took action and handled the wolves before you arrived," Song Zhan explained.

"Alright, you can eat these wolves. Don't let them go to waste. If you can't finish them, clean them up and bring them back," Cheng Mo instructed before picking up the pink-haired boy and tossing him onto his back.

Hei Yao had already left after dealing with the wolves. He listened to Song Zhan's explanation before departing, worried about the little female.

"Are you okay? Were you scared?" Hei Yao asked Si Lu gently.

When they returned from hunting earlier, they sensed a battle nearby. Not only that, but they also heard Song Zhan's roar, which made them rush back in fear—not of the enemies but of Si Lu's safety.

After experiencing one incident already, they couldn't let Si Lu be hurt again.

They couldn't bear the thought of losing Si Lu. If something happened to her, they wouldn't know how to continue living.

"I'm fine, don't worry. I've been through a lot, so my nerves aren't that weak," Si Lu replied with a mischievous smile.

She truly wasn't scared.

After all, she just felt something was off but didn't actually witness the fight.

"What happened exactly? Are Zhan and Mo okay?" Si Lu asked Hei Yao, as he seemed to have returned rather quickly.

"They're fine, just a few wolves nearby that have been dealt with," Hei Yao reassured her, gently patting her head.

"Good to hear. But why were there wolves here?" Si Lu wondered, just as she noticed Cheng Mo returning.

Wait, what's that pink thing on his back?

Curious, Si Lu approached. "Mo, what's that pink thing on your back?"

It turned out to be a pink rabbit, covered in blood and looking like it was on the verge of death.

A pink rabbit! It was so cute.

But also, such a pity. It didn't seem like it would survive for long.

"A rabbit. Those wolves were chasing it," Cheng Mo explained.

"Let me take a look, maybe I can save it." Bai Di quickly came over, carefully removing the pink rabbit from Cheng Mo's back and laying it on the ground.

"I've never seen a pink and white rabbit like this before," Bai Di remarked. "Its ears are pink, and its fur is white, but the injuries are severe. I don't know if it will make it. I'll do my best to save it."

Si Lu looked at the rabbit, about the size of an adult cat, with sympathy in her eyes. "Poor thing, such a small rabbit being chased by wolves. They really deserve to be killed."

"Don't worry. Zhan is handling the wolves' bodies," Cheng Mo reassured her.

They knew that leaving the wolves unattended would attract other predators, which wasn't a problem for them, but with Si Lu around, they had to be cautious.

"The rabbit's injuries are severe. The scratches on its back and chest are deep. We need to find a way to close the wounds before they tear open," Bai Di said, examining the rabbit's wounds with a grim expression.

"Why don't you sew the wounds together, like stitching clothes? Then we can apply medicine. What do you think?" Si Lu suggested.

This rabbit was too beautiful to let die.

"I like that idea! You're so clever, Si Lu. I'll give it a try!" Bai Di's eyes lit up.

He hadn't thought of that method before but now saw the potential.

"I've seen doctors stitch large wounds before, and once the wound heals enough, you can remove the stitches," Si Lu added. "You can use Hei Yao and Song Zhan's hair as thread. Their hair is strong—I've tried it before."

Si Lu remembered how injured soldiers would have their wounds sewn up in hospitals, and she thought it might work here. However, she didn't dare to do it herself, but Bai Di, being a healer, could.

"Alright, I'll do as Si Lu suggested and stitch the wounds," Bai Di said, using a fishbone and some hair from himself to start stitching.

Meanwhile, Cheng Mo and Hei Yao busied themselves with preparing the meat from the animals they had brought back, while Song Zhan was still handling the wolf carcasses.

Si Lu sat beside Bai Di, ready to help if needed, though she found it hard to watch the stitching.

Before long, Bai Di finished stitching the rabbit's wounds.

With no one else around, Si Lu pulled out a jar of spiritual spring water.

Without needing an explanation, Bai Di understood.

He used the spiritual spring water to cleanse the rabbit's wounds and then gently fed some to the rabbit.

He knew how much Si Lu wanted to save this rabbit, so he used his best abilities to help.

"Almighty, a pink-eared rabbit. It's so strange! I've never seen anything like it," Si Lu said, marveling at the rabbit's unique appearance.

"Well, there are plenty of strange creatures in the Beastman Continent. Do you like pink?" Bai Di asked with a smile.

Indeed, in this world, there were all kinds of creatures with different colors—blue, black and white, and more. So he didn't find it unusual, but rather common.

"Pink is such a girly color!" Si Lu laughed.

Most girls liked pink—it was cute and soft!

"I saved this rabbit. Can I keep it as a pet? I've never seen a rabbit with pink ears before," Si Lu asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

The rabbit was so beautiful and cute, she really wanted to keep it.

She just wasn't sure if the rabbit could survive after such severe injuries.

"Keep it as a pet? You mean like a regular animal?" Bai Di asked, his expression becoming a bit odd.

He wasn't sure what Si Lu meant exactly.

"Yes! It's such a cute rabbit. It wouldn't eat much. We could make a bamboo basket and carry it along with us. Wouldn't that be nice?" Si Lu said, already imagining the little rabbit accompanying them.

At that moment, the rabbit opened its black eyes.

It had heard everything Si Lu said.

It had been too weak to open its eyes or speak, but now, gazing at this beautiful female, the rabbit was stunned.

Her fair skin was as pure as winter snow, and her silver hair was stunningly beautiful. Her white antlers made her look even more adorable.

She was breathtaking.

Nans had never seen such a cute and lovely female before.

She had saved him.

And he wasn't stupid. He realized that the tiger was her mate, so it was indirectly her who had saved him.

She wanted to keep him as a pet. Honestly, he didn't mind.

He was willing.

Bai Di noticed the pink rabbit waking up, and his expression became even stranger.

He realized that Si Lu genuinely thought this rabbit was just a regular animal and wanted to keep it as a pet.

Perhaps she didn't know that this rabbit was a beastman!

"Actually… he's not an ordinary rabbit. He's a male beastman," Bai Di finally explained, breaking the silence.

He saw the shock on Si Lu's face and knew she had indeed thought of the rabbit as a mere animal.

"What? A beastman?" Si Lu's eyes widened in disbelief.

She glanced at the pink-eared rabbit again, noticing its black eyes filled with sadness and innocence, making her want to comfort it.

"Ah, um, pink rabbit, don't misunderstand. I didn't know you were a beastman. I thought you were just a regular animal and wanted to keep you as a pet. Please don't take offense," Si Lu quickly explained, feeling a bit flustered.

It was one thing to keep an animal, but a beastman was different. They had thoughts and emotions like humans, with the ability to transform into animals.

Her previous words could have been quite rude.

"I wouldn't mind being treated as a regular rabbit and kept as a pet," Nans said, gazing at Si Lu earnestly.

He was willing.

She had saved him, so whatever she asked of him was fine by him.

"Uh…?" Si Lu was taken aback, feeling confused.

Had he gone through something traumatic? Was that why he wanted to be treated like a regular rabbit?

Or perhaps he had suffered a shock and no longer wanted to live as a beastman?

Bai Di remained silent but gave

the pink rabbit a sympathetic look. It seemed this rabbit had a tragic story to tell.

Meanwhile, Cheng Mo and Song Zhan approached, intrigued by the unfolding situation.
