Celeste felt Tiel's arms around her tightening. He kissed her on her temple, then asked her, "What do you think? Do you want to stay and cut the cake, or do you want to go home?"
"I want to go home," Celeste replied without thinking about it, but then remembered her father. "Wait," she said to Tiel, "I want to speak to my father before we go. Is that alright?"
Tiel let out a breath. "Of course, that's alright. First, let's get you cleaned up," he said, then escorted her out. His gaze landed on Bianca as they passed. "Don't ever speak to us again," he said.
He didn't let Bianca reply to him, her voice cut short behind them when the door of the resting room fell shut. Tiel quickly escorted Celeste to the garden, where a bench covered by bushes stood hidden.
Tiel placed both hands on her shoulders. "Whatever it is, we'll talk about it at home, okay? I'll go get Jordan. Are you going to be alright?" he asked, only leaving after receiving confirmation from her.
