By the time they were finished, Celeste and Tiel went to the after-party. A moment of celebration for everyone who had been wondering if the Everhart girl would really marry into the Brightwell family. Their cheers and laughter, as well as the sound of dining, resounded from the party hall as Celeste stopped in her tracks.
Tiel turned to face her. "Leste?"
"I need to use the restroom... I'll find you there," Celeste explained, then felt an emptiness once Tiel let go of her hand. His broad shoulder disappeared behind the double doors where the sound of music came through.
Celeste let out a sigh, then quickly went to the restroom, where two women, whom she guessed were not a part of her wedding, walked past her, leaving her alone in the wide space.
She stood facing the mirror that covered the entire wall and was taken aback by the sight of herself still in her wedding dress. It felt like days had passed since she said her vows, and yet, at the same time, it felt so slow.
