Chapter 164 - Chapter 163: Creative Thinking

Ryu thought, 'The Hyuga have already left. Right now, I could really use an ultrasound machine, but unfortunately, it does not exist, and my [Infrared Vision] is not much help.

Tsunade was still in shock by what Ryu had said. Ryu looked at the stomach lining where the cut was made to place the bomb in the stomach of the ninja, near the liver.

Ryu took some paper and wrote something. He then gave the paper to Isao and said, "Please give this paper to my secretary and safely transport all the material here. She manages my inventory, so they won't be there to find these items. You can ask my grandpa for help in storing them in a scroll safely."

"Ok, Ryu-kun." Isao replied and hurried off back to Ryu's workshop.

Tsunade questioned, "You have a secretary?"

Ryu replied, "Yes, I do, and mine is as capable as yours."

After giving Yuki a serious look, Ryu said, "Mother Yuki, we need to set up a safe place for us."

Yuki understood the message and said to the random people that were there, "Clear out the building. It's dangerous here."

Kohinata Mukai stayed, stating he was a ninja and knew how to defend himself. He refused to leave the hospital even when Yuki insisted. The others went away immediately, but Tsunade and Shizune also remained there.

Tsunade refused, saying, "I am not going anywhere, sensei. I want to see what this brat is up to."

"Suit yourself," Ryu replied.

He then took a two-fuinjutsu piece of paper and started writing the seal formulas on them at the same time with both hands.

As a grandmaster in fuinjutsu herself, Tsunade was amazed by the speed and accuracy Ryu had in writing the seal, and she was also impressed by how he was writing with both hands.

Tsunade asked, "You are ambidextrous."

Ryu smiled and said, "Yes, I am a natural."

Ryu then took a needle from the side table and took some blood from his body. Ryu then took the blood in a vial and dipped his quill in blood. He glanced back at Tsunade and saw her trembling with fear.

"Haemophobia, huh!" Ryu remarked, noting Tsunade's fear of blood.

Shizune thought, "He caught on pretty quickly. His observation skills are very impressive for his age."

'A doctor that is scared of blood is no doctor.' Ryu thought but didn't say it out loud, as he knew her backstory.

Ryu then spoke, "You can leave if you want."

Tsunade replied, "No, I want to stay and watch till the end."

"Fine with me," he said and started writing the fuinjutsu seal using blood. In about 15 minutes, he was done with writing the seal.

"Ok, seals are ready. Let's wait for Mr. Isao now." Ryu said.

Elsewhere Aoi and her big brother, Ikkyu Madoka, the future daimyo, were waiting for the news when suddenly a man appeared and fussed something near him.

"Brother, what did he tell you?" Aoi asked.

Ikkyu Madoka said, "There is an emergency situation with a patient there. No need to worry. They have called in an expert."

Aoi asked, "Lady Tsunade and her teacher are inside. Then who is the expert they are calling?"

As Ikkyu pondered about the expert being called in, a memory of the kid with the funny hairstyle entering the hospital crossed his mind.

"Interesting," Ikkyu said.

"What are you thinking, brother?" Aoi asked.

Ikkyu Madoka replied, "Nothing."

Isao came back in the hospital emergency ward with multiple scrolls in his bag. Ryu then put the seals he had already prepared around the room. He took a scroll and summoned the contents. He gave gas masks and cylinders of packed oxygen inside to everyone.

Ryu said, "Please take the oxygen mask. It's going to be difficult breathing soon enough."

He also put a gas mask on the injured ninja and then performed some hand seals, and the first barrier activated.

Tsunade said, "Flame-type barrier,"

Ryu replied, "You guessed it right. It's a flame-type barrier. It eats into oxygen levels."

Tsunade said, "You are trying to decrease the oxygen levels inside the barrier."

Ryu replied, "Yes, I am."

Tsunade said, "But it won't be enough."

Ryu replied, "Yes, I know, which is why I have something else too ready."

Ryu then took something out of the storage scroll; it looked like ice.

"What is that?" Tsunade asked.

Ryu replied, "That is dry ice."

Tsunade asked, "Dry ice? Did you make it yourself?"

Ryu replied, "No more questions from the audience, please."

He placed many trays filled with water around the body of the injured ninja and put the dry ice.

"What now?" Tsunade asked.

"Now we wait," Ryu said.

After some time, a thick, smoke-like fog enveloped the room, altering the atmosphere.

Ryu took a matchstick and tried to light it. After a few turns, it burnt, but a second later it automatically extinguished itself.

Ryu waited a few more minutes and said, "Ok, I think it's enough. I believe the oxygen levels are sufficiently low now."

Shizune thought, "This boy is clever; now the bomb will not explode immediately due to lack of oxygen in the air."

Tsunade sarcastically said, "Congratulations, kid; now it won't explode immediately. But you cannot take it out surgically. It will explode upon contact with anyone alive or if it is moved too much inside his body."

Ryu smiled and replied, "That is why I am not going to touch it or move it. But I am going to remove it directly. Without touching or moving it."

Tsunade asked, "How are we going to do it?"

"By using this." Ryu replied as he showed a seal with the blood of the injured ninja.

Tsunade understood his intention. She said, "So you wrote the seal using his own blood. That way it won't detect a foreign chakra and trigger the explosion. The paper soaked in his blood will contain his chakra, but you still need to activate it using your chakra."

Ryu replied, "No, I don't. This seal uses chakra from fresh blood, and it activates itself; it stores the nearest nonliving object containing chakra."

He continued, "In this particular case, it will be the explosive seal inside his body."

Ryu hesitated for a bit and then said, "There is a problem, however. The seal will be covered in blood, and once outside, it will also store the air. In this arena there is mostly carbon dioxide, but there are also traces of oxygen the farther we go from the centre of the room. We need to dispose of it suddenly before it stores enough oxygen and explodes. We would have a few seconds of window using all these methods."

"Are you sure it's going to work? You create this custom seal right on the spot. I doubt it's going to work." Tsunade said.

"My grandpa created this seal, and it works," Ryu said misleadingly.

He actually created this seal today for this special occasion, but he gave Tsunade a more believable answer.

Ryu declared, "On, let's get to work. Mother Yuki, since I am now responsible for his life, I am going to do this myself. But I'm going to need one more set of hands to aid me."

Tsunade said, "Shizune, assist him."

Shizune replied, "Yes, Lady Tsunade."

Ryu looked at Shizune and said, "You cut him, and I will place the seal inside."

Ryu performed some hand seals, and a very small hole was formed in the fire barrier. He then took a bundle of stitching thread and tied a few of them together very tightly to get the required length.

Ryu explained, "Isao-san, tie this end with that flowerpot and be ready to throw it off the building."

Isao understood the assignment. He tied a flowerpot that was on the balcony of the room. Ryu put on gloves and then tied the other end of a seal with the stitching thread.

Ryu said, "Ok, so a small cut right there where I have marked."

Shizune cut the part, and Ryu, carefully using surgical forceps, slid the storage seal carefully. Tsunade was again shaking due to her fear of blood.

Ryu said, "Ok, it is in and hasn't exploded yet. It is a good sign."

"Don't jinx it," Tsunade warned shakily.

Ryu waited for a few seconds, and then everyone was ready at the count of three.

Ryu did a countdown: "One…Two…Three."

Ryu snapped the seal out of the body, and Isao punched the flowerpot off the balcony. The seal tied with the thread and flew outside the barrier and the building, and a few seconds later an explosion could be heard.

Yuki was praying when it happened. The explosion scared the people outside the building, but Ryu had a sense of relief on his face.

Ryu then used healing hand jutsu to close the wound. He exhaled deeply and said, "It's over now."

He then took an injection and gave the ninja a shot. Yuki asked, "Anti-infection?"

Ryu replied, "Yes, to be sure. I don't know in what condition he was when his stomach was cut open by the enemy. We need to keep him under observation."

Staring at Ryu, Tsunade was thinking about his skills while being impressed by his diligence, knowledge, and creative thinking.
