Tsunade asked Yuki, "Who is this boy? Where did you find him?"
Yuki formally introduced Ryu to Tsunade and said, "His name is Ryu Hamura; he is from my orphanage. He is a distant relative of my friend Dan Hamura, so Dan adopted him when he found out about Ryu."
Yuki for a moment then asked, "Have you heard about a tale about the crippled Senju?"
Tsunade replied, "Yes, I have heard. I was a child back then, but I have heard the stories."
Yuki then asked Tsunade, "Do you know what his name was?"
Tsunade replied, "No, they never mentioned him by his name. Is there a connection?"
Yuki then said, "His name was Ryu Senju. And this boy here is his descendant. So technically, he is related to both you and your late boyfriend."
Tsunade looked at the Ryu again and saw an image of her younger brother in him.
Ryu then looked at Tsunade and said, "I apologise for my earlier comments. I was focused on saving the patient at that moment."
"Brat, you know fuinjutsu and medical ninjutsu." Tsunade asked.
Ryu replied, "Yes, I know a little about fuinjutsu, and I am enrolled in the medical apprentice course."
Tsunade then asked, "Yuki-sensei told me that you are still at Ninja Academy."
Ryu replied, "Yes, I am in my second year."
Tsunade replied, "You do not need to waste time there. I will talk to Hokage and have you directly appear for the final year a few years later. Come under me. You are skilled at medical ninjutsu. I will reach you with everything I know about medical ninjutsu.
Ryu asked, "I heard you are never at the village. Are you going to be staying at the Leaf Village?"
Tsuande replied, "No, I don't like it here."
Both Yuki and Ryu understood why. The village reminded Tsunade of what she had lost.
Ryu replied, "I am grateful for the opportunity, but I have to refuse your offer. Forgive me, please. I cannot leave the village just yet."
"Kid, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
Ryu replied, "I understand it better than anyone else, but I have big things going on in the village that I cannot leave to somebody else."
"What things?" Tsunade asked.
Ryu replied, "First of all, my grandpa. He lost everything in the nine-tails attack. I cannot leave him. Second, I have a business to run."
"Business?" she asked again, surprised by such a surprising response from such a young child.
Yuki spoke, "He is a director at the newly formed Hamura Industries. He is an inventor and likes to invent new things."
Tsunade retorted, "He is a kid barely out of his diapers. What could he be inventing?"
Yuki tried to say something, but Ryu interrupted and said, "Why don't you come to my workshop and see for yourself?"
Tsunade replied, "Ok. I want to see for myself what business you are talking about so as to refuse my teachings for it."
Yuki told Isao, "You tell the other staff that the danger is now over and to get things in order as before and look after this patient. I will be back soon."
Ryu began to walk back to his home. Tsunade, Yuki, and Shizune followed him. But one more group was also tailing them without their knowledge. Ryu reached his workshop and was let in by his secretary.
"You are back, boss," said Secretary Enjomi. "What was the emergency?"
Ryu replied, "It's all ok now. We got guests. Can you get some snacks and drinks from home?"
Enjomi replied, "Yes, boss. The big boss, Dan, also asked me to inform him when you return. He was worried."
Ryu said, "You can also bring him."
Tsunade said, "So this is your workshop."
Ryu replied, "It is one of many. I have a bigger one at the company."
Tsunade, "I thought Yuki sensei was joking. What do you do here?"
"I will show you," Ryu replied, and then he showed her the solar paint he had developed and explained what it does.
Shizune commented, "This is amazing."
Ryu continued with his explanation, "And this one I am working on can store electricity. When coupled together, they can provide energy solutions for everyone."
Just then claps were heard. Everyone looked back and found a young boy and girl with some big and scary guards in the back.
Ryu questioned, "Who are you?"
The stranger replied, "I am sorry for the intrusion, but your door was open, and I let myself in."
"I must say I am glad I let myself in. I didn't know you were hiding something this amazing in this small workshop."
"Oh, I am sorry. You asked me a question."
"I am Ikkyu Madoka; I am the son of the Daimyo of the Land of Fire."
Ryu was surprised. He wanted to impress Tsunade and ask for her summoning contract to the Shhikutoskyu forest but didn't imagine that another big figure would come in without even knocking on the door.
He sensed an opportunity. He needed money and political support for big-time expansion of his company. Of course, Hiruzen as Hokage had a big influence, but compared to the Daimyo of the Fire Country, it was nothing. His influence reached outside the Fire Nation as well.
Ryu thought, 'I will need to expand business in Wind Nation in the future. I am going to need him in the future. Also, if I am ever going to raise my own private force like nobles and like Danzo, I will be needing his support.'
"Greetings to future Daimyo." Ryu said
Tsunade heard his greeting and said, "Boy, I didn't know you were so good at licking ass."
Ryu spoke, "I am a businessman, and I know the importance of moments like this."
"What about the importance of the moment when I asked you to my apprantice? Why did you refuse that?" Tsunade asked.
Ikkyu laughed and understood Ryu's intentions.
"I like him already. He is very sharp. I am interested in this invention also. But right now, I am here for you." Ikkyu said, pointing at Tsunade.
"Me?" Tsunade asked.
Ikkyu replied, "Yes, I am here for a consultation. Do you know how hard it was to find you?"
"You kept escaping from people I sent to reach you. When I could not find you, I came for your teacher. How lucky am I that I find you here?
"And I also got to meet this young prodigy," Ikkyu added.
"I thought they were debt collectors," Tsunade replied.
Ikkyu said to Tsunade, "Now that you are here, would you kindly look at my younger sister?"
He added, "I will pay you handsomely; you won't have to run from debt collectors."
Tsuande replied, "I am running from them not because of money but boredom. Those gambling houses were cheating anyway."
Ryu questioned, "Don't you mean your luck sucks? You lost all the bets and are now blaming them?"
Tsunade's eye twitched hearing the truth.
"They call you a legendary loser for a reason." Ryu added.
"Brat, who told you that? Tell me. I'm going to beat the shit out of them." Tsuande said, fuming in anger.
"Then you have to beat half of the Fire Nation." Ryu replied.
Just then Dan came and said, "Oh, Tsunade, what a pleasant surprise."
Tsunade replied to Dan, "You are still alive, old man."
She looked at Ryu and asked, "This is your grandson? He had a mouth on him."
Dan looked at Ikkyu and asked, "And who is this young man?"
Ikkyu introduced himself and said, "I am Ikkyu Madoka, son of Fire Daimyo."
This surprised Dan; he quickly bowed and said, "Greetings, my lord. I'm surprised to find you here."
He then summoned tea for everything that his secretary catered.
"Never expected Lord Ikkyu would be drinking tea at my house some day."
Ikkyu replied, "Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Hamura. I heard some chatter in Fire Capital about the fuinjutsu seals you have created. I am impressed. Your grandson is even more impressive. That piece of equipment – I am very interested in it."
Dan said, "So you are here for Ryu."
Ikkyu replied, "No, I am here for medical consultation for my sister."
"Ok, fine, I will take a look." Tsunade said.
He looked at his sister, and as she moved closer to Tsunade, she removed her mask and gloves, revealing her blue skin akin to a smurf. The sight shocked everyone, including Ryu.
Tsunade asked, "Was she poisoned?"
Ikkyu nodded.
Tsunade said, "If my guess is correct, it is a poison that has a plant-based complex. It gets into every part of the body and kills you painfully. She is lucky that she survived."
Ikkyu replied, "She was immediately administered an antidote for the poison."
Tsunde asked, "Was the antidote readily available, and did you catch the one who poisoned her?"
The question saddened Aoi, and it did not escape Ryu's notice.
Ryu thought, 'So the one who poisoned her by accident only exposed himself after she was poisoned. Her eye and hair colour are different. Step-siblings? So it was her mother that tried to kill him. Such loving brother and sister.'
Ikkyu replied, "The doctors at the fire palace were not able to completely remove poison. It is now locked in her skin, unable to go anywhere."
Tsunade said, "It is not of any immediate danger, but it is going to shorten her life by a decade at least.
Ikkyu replied, "Can you remove the poison locked in her skin?"
Tsunade replied, "This particular poison, no. To remove the poison, I have to remove her skin, and I would not recommend it."
She added, "We could have to graft skin, but in her case healthy skin is not available, and in case of transplant from another person, there are many risks involved, so I won't recommend it either."
