Chapter 223 - Chapter 223 - Voyage

Third person POV

"That was quite nostalgic…" Russell said to himself as he zoned out.

"Um, are you okay, Russell-kun?" Ria asked him while tapping on his shoulder.

Russell then snapped out and glanced at her. "Yes! I am, I am…"

Ria didn't see anything in his response and let that one slide.

After that, a crew member gave them a warm welcome to the ferry and directed their options for accommodation on the ferry. The options were: Tourist, Cabin, and Golden. The Tourist accommodation consisted of bunkbeds in rooms with air-conditioning. Both the Cabin and the Golden ones had dedicated rooms of their own, but the main difference between them was that the golden ones were larger and more ornate than the cabin ones. Luckily, passengers didn't have to pay extra for the aforementioned types of accommodations; the base fee was enough. As for the three types of accommodations, the Tourist ones had more than the other two combined. Regardless of the rooms, meals were served three times a day depending on the time of the day and route.

And so, Russell and his group were given a tour of the ferry, before showing the available vacant rooms any of them would like to have for this 4-hour voyage. The group marvelled at the interior and the services and amenities the ferry offers. There is a big cafeteria on the second floor of the ferry from the second deck, as well as a big TV lounge that offers entertainment and even news based in real-time using flat-screen TVs with the help of magic. The lounge also had comfortable seats, too.

Later on, after seeing each class of accommodation, Russell and his group began to consider their options for this journey. Aren, Frannie, and Janet, alongside Azalea, wanted a Golden room, while Adrian and Rai, as well as Caspian and Jaria, wanted Tourist-class bunkbeds. Because of that, Russell decided to go for a Cabin room, prompting Jaria to switch to his. And so, the choices were decided, and the group split up into 3, one for one type of accommodation. The crew member was happy to hear their request and just had their names listed and slots crossed out in a book for recording occupied accommodation units. Now with that out of the way, the group settled in their chosen accommodations.

At the same time, Gerald received the latest manifesto from one of his trusted crew members for his next voyage, only to be shocked to see that one of the vehicles was registered and enlisted as a bus, wondering about its driver being an Otherworlder. "That was quite odd…"

And then, at 9:25 a.m., SS Athelstan was ready for her next voyage to the YIF. Its anchor was hoisted up, and the ferry began to move around and leave the port for her next destination. Later on, as the ferry was on its voyage from Blareween, Jaer Province, the Karala Jungle Federation to Kate-Raler, YIF, most of Russell's friends looked at the view of the clear sea from the viewing deck while Russell was walking around the floor of the ferry asking around among the passengers for their experience. Some of them relayed their great experience of riding this ferry to him with great and positive details. One remarked, "This was like a luxury we thought that only the wealthy could afford, but it was offered to us commoners."
