Amanda Smith couldn't stand staying at the Johnson family's house. As soon as Samuel Johnson's health had fully recovered, she began thinking about submitting her resume.
Back when she was abroad, Lily Smith had no one to take care of her, and Amanda dared not leave her alone at home. She could only do online work that earned money for a living. Now that she was back with the Johnson family, with the servants to help take care of things, she started thinking about going back to work.
She had majored in editing and had some achievements in magazine publishing. She sent out her resume and quickly received replies from several magazine companies.
That evening, Amanda sat on the office chair looking at the responses when Samuel Johnson came out of the bathroom after showering. Seeing Amanda intently looking at the computer screen, he curiously walked over and peered at it.
His face soured at a glance.
"Amanda, what are you doing?" he asked.
