"You're serious…" Smiles said, acting like she was taken aback by my demand.
"If you can't promise me that, then I can't agree. How could I look at my brothers and sisters again if something happens? They know I am stronger than the Spirit Gods, they'd never accept any explanation, and nor should they. I certainly wouldn't." I said, making sure my face conveyed the intensity of my seriousness. "Since you won't agree then, Martial brothers, and Martial sister, here." I said. "This will instantly kill about 500 Territory Lords worth of ink force. If things start going bad, use them. And father, you have a hell of an ace up your sleeve as it is. As for mother Smiles…" I said, thinking about something.
"Uh, Martial Brother… One of these should be enough to take the whole place, three times over. Do we really need anything else?" Zhao Ye Bai asked.
"THIS IS A BATTLEFIELD! Just because I'm here, doesn't guarantee your safety. The force the ink clan launched this time was already far beyond my expectations. That means there's no telling when their progenitor, Ink himself rears his ugly mug. When that happens, do you really think I'll have the time to worry about anyone else?" I glared daggers at my martial brother. "No one should ever be satisfied with what they have when on the battlefield. They should make do with what they have, and think about how to improve what they have. Gaining as many cards to play as possible is the best case scenario…" I added, with a cough. "Now if there's nothing else, I can't hold this breakthrough back any longer. And it's going to be a doozy…" I said, handing something to Smiles and wrapping it up in her hand so no one else saw it. She knew what it was, and the mere fact I gave it to her was proof how serious the situation actually was.
The next moment I was far above the mountain pass. I reached out my hand and made a motion like I was opening a door, then disappeared through it. The sight of this was something only 9th ranks could even wonder about.
"Was that… A door to the outer Chaos?" Wind and Cloud Old Ancestor asked, shaking as his ox companion appeared to steady him.
"I think it was… I can't sense him right now… Wait, no. I can, but it's so faint." Yang Kai muttered in reply, and disbelief.
"I think he did that because he knew his breakthrough would have destroyed a large portion of the 3000 Worlds, even from this far away." Smiles said, putting the thing I gave her, away in a safe place.
After a few minutes of traveling, I stopped and looked back at the 3000 Worlds…
"I knew it… Man I'm glad I started laying out the groundwork for this contingency. They are not going to like this news… I should tell them only after we have seen this war to its conclusion." I sighed. "Man, I really can see quite far… There also seems to be someone watching me, it feels… Warm, and yet also lustful for some reason… It's hard to pinpoint the direction it's coming from though, does that mean there is a whole nother outer layer beyond this outer layer? I wonder what might be there. Well, in any case, I should be far enough away to safely break through…" I finished speaking and stopped holding my breakthroughs back.
In that moment, my senses erupted and then exploded. My Dragon Cultivation, My Phoenix Cultivation, and all three of my Small Universes trembled with a ferocity so intense, that my previous breakthrough might as well have been child's play… No… Less than that, not even as comforting as a motherly embrace and the feeling of warm milk lulling one to sleep… Then… It got so much worse that the idea of comparing it to anything I'd ever experienced before might as well have been a fruitless waste of effort, so I stopped.
The void outside of the 3000 Worlds and Ink Battlefield, was filled to the brim with pure Chaos Energy. Not like the kind that creates universe worlds. No, this was something greater… It held a deeper, more intrinsic power, a fundamentally higher existence. In the corner of my eye, out in the vast distance I witnessed the birth of what could only be described by my limited vocabulary at the time, as a collection of Great Domains.
So… Is that the next step? Whatever it is, that level of power would clearly change the outcome of my battle with Ink.
Then my thoughts vanished, And all I could do was manage the process of my breakthrough… Lightning curved and stretched out in all directions, causing a drawing sort of effect on some of the other nearby collections of great domains. Others, made arcs towards the 3000 Worlds, and from the intensity of them, it was fair to say that more than a few places were currently experiencing a boon to their worlds in the form of perfected Dao.
"OLD ANCESTORS!!! There's lightning over there!"
"Huh? What!?" Smiles said with a grimace, that quickly turned into shock. "If he isn't confident in beating Ink now, then what kind of force could possibly pull it off?" She gulped.
"There's more! I guess we should probably wait to take the Great Evolution Pass for a few weeks…" Zhao Ya stuttered…
"No, this is the perfect chance. He even gave us trump cards in the event of unforeseen circumstances. I'm his father, and I'm not going to just sit idly by and allow him to handle this war on his own." Yang Kai said, balling up a fist, then calming down. "Myriad groups designated for the Great Evolution Pass assemble, we are departing at once! My High Heaven Cave Heaven has taken in and absorbed the remnants of the Great Evolution Paradise. This includes their benefits and their trifles. This battle is one we must fight to avenge the fallen, and let their souls rest in peace. Come and follow me… TO KILL THE ENEMY!" He shouted, raising his spear up high.
The ships were boarded with eager warriors. All ready to see battle, as they were respectfully seen off, and wish good luck and good fortune.
