Chapter 590 - Wind And Cloud Pass (4)

I traveled through the Ink Battlefield at speeds that made teleportation seem like standing still. Huh, my speed really has increased quite a bit. It feels good to finally let loose after holding so much back, and for so long. I was right to hold back though, with this kind of power… The 3000 World's would likely be permanently changed forever.Ah, there's this Pass's Old Ancestor.

"Huh? What the, who are you Young Man?" The Old Ancestor with a dress the color of a deep raging fire asked me once I appeared. She struggled to prepare to defend herself in the event she would have to.

"Yang Leiji, Temporal Thunder Divine Monarch. I sensed the battle taking place and rushed over to eliminate the enemy before they could break through. I can't just let all of you die like that, not after you defended this position long enough for me to grow to this level." I said, healing her injuries, and then she finally opened her eyes all the way, revealing the shining star like pupils.

"I see, so you're that one brat's son… Those tokens the dragon clan made for us kept us alive for a long time. Unfortunately mine has long since turned to dust, I might be consumed by the ink force soon… Wait… It's gone?"

"Yep, I'm practically a living bane of the ink clan's existence. And what's more," I said, holding up a finger with a smile. "I don't need the aid of those crystals."

"I see, but I have another question… You healed me… And did so easily… Usually I'd have to remove some of the excess yang energy that men possess… Wait, how am I stronger than before?"

I smirked and then transformed, assuming my woman figure for the moment… "Why shouldn't I be able to accurately tell what you need?" I giggled once before I inevitably transformed back. "Yeah, I really shouldn't do that in these clothes."

"I agree, those manly clothes don't suit your perfect womanly body…" She said with a hard blush, and noticeable motion. "So perfect I'm jealous I don't get to see the whole thing… Say, would you like to take a bath with me? We can have fun exploring our peaks and valleys together." She said, biting her lip.

"Ahahaha, maybe later, right now, I've got a lot of work to do. And I have a lot of these Mortal Coils to hand out…" I laughed, unsurprised. "Just try not to tell the old men about it, I'd rather not have them ask me the same question." I said with a shiver going down my spine.

"Pfft, so you really do know what it's like then. That's good, it saves me from having to explain it then. Go on and help the others to recover next. I can wait for our fun bath together. You can bring your wives and we can have fun together…" She added with a curiously pleasant smile.

I sent a beam of light to her with all of the instructions on the Mortal Coil, gave her the Mortal Coils, and then I left to continue my rescue and recovery job.

For someone with my current speed and ability, this job was finished in the time span of a day. I wanted to get the Mortal Coils to as many people as I possibly could, as fast as I possibly could. Similarly, through the combined efforts of everyone in the first and second Myriads, reinforcements arrived in time to lend aid in the cleanup of the battlefield, and make arrangements for the funerals, as well as the final act… Writing the names of the fallen upon the monuments located in each Mountain Pass.

Once I returned to the Wind and Cloud Pass, the relief efforts had already begun. And more than that, it seemed like the soldiers that had just arrived, seamlessly integrated with the resident forces. Taking up positions to afford everyone a break, and some time to collect their thoughts. More importantly though, this allowed the people who needed it, a chance to refine the Mortal Coil. The Old Ancestors had a piss easy time of it, finishing the process within just a few breaths to a few minutes. Of course they only did it after Smiles told them how easy it was.

"Well now that everything is settling down at the human controlled passes. I suppose it's time to annihilate the fools who destroyed the Great Evolution Pass." I said, cracking my knuckles. I was attempting to make it seem like I was about to do it in a flash.

"Son, this time, I'm going to stop you." Smiles said, raising her hand. The way she addressed me confused others around. Including the Wind and Cloud Pass's Old Ancestor.

"Sister Smiles, you… Is he your son? I, uh…"

"Yes, He may not have come from my loins, but he is my husband's son, and is the older brother of three children bred from my very own loins. Besides, my sisterwives and I have all agreed to raise our children as if all of them were our very own. And to that end, I've even breast fed this youngman. He's as much my son as ever." Smiles declared in a little too much detail, but she did leave out the most embarrassing parts with a wink.

"I see, then I owe him an apology for unknowingly making things difficult for him when I was thanking him earlier. I didn't realize he was meant to be like a Martial Nephew. Please forgive me." Wind and Cloud Pass's Old Ancestor said, with a correct bowing posture for our relative positions.

"It's fine, it's fine. I should have told you, but I was in a rush. It's partly my fault." I said, with a proper bow in return. "Now then, with that out of the way… Mother Smiles, are you saying that you'd like to reclaim the Mountain Pass?"

"Of course I do, I'm going to its Old Ancestor now. And between myself and your father. With the addition of the Myriads… It won't be impossible to handle. Besides, this is something we should do." Smiles said, with her signature free spirit in getting close to me.

"Alright, but you have to promise me something. Promise that the only ones dying in that battle will be the enemy." I said, remaining steadfast, showing the clear distinction between home and where we were now.
