Once I finished absorbing the energy into myself, I retracted the Lightning Sphere. The Universe World's that were within range, had suddenly begun to show signs of recovery. The Ink Battlefield no longer looked so dreary and disgusting, with all of the ink clouds having been completely destroyed. In other words, it had mostly recovered its liveliness. However, just like the crashing wake of tides, the Ink force from outside of my range began to corrupt the area once more.
"Well, I guess that was a good test of my abilities. I wonder how long before I… Hmm never mind about that, I should make the rounds and heal the Old Ancestors quickly. But first…" I said, muttering to myself, then turned slightly to appear right in front of the Old Ancestor and all the others that had managed to actually see what happened.
"That was simply outstanding Young man… What was your name again, Yang something right?" Wind and Cloud Pass's old ancestor asked, not wanting to be rude to someone who just turned the situation around in an instant. And even if he had known the name beforehand… He was having a hard time after witnessing such a display.
"Heh heh, in a short time from now, I'll be much stronger than that." I chuckled, stretching up to the sky. "Rapid transformations back to back still leave me stiff as a board." I added with a light hearted smile.
"Ahahaha, I'd bet it would. Thank you for coming to our rescue." The Old Ancestor laughed, stroking his beard, he enjoyed my carefreeness now that the battle was over.
"Ah, yes, my parents have granted me the name of Yang Leiji, But I am also Temporal Thunder Great Emperor, and Temporal Thunder Divine Monarch." I said, forming the respectful salute.
"Oh come now, there's no need to show me so much respect, I'd be dead without your arrival Temporal Thunder." Wind and Cloud Old Ancestor said, showing a similar salute, though he made it very clear he wasn't going to accept so much respect right now.
"I… Hmm, well then, I guess I'll stop for now." I chuckled, slightly ticked knowing it'll make it difficult for others to make sense of the situation, let alone my family's current dynamic. "Well, in any case. Summon all of the peak 6th ranks and above at once. I have things to hand out." I continued, preparing to pull out some of the numerous orbs I had made before, Mortal Coils.
"Right, we won't delay…" And a few moments later they finished their gathering. "This is everyone who you requested." A fellow 8th rank answered, having been the one responsible for rounding everyone up.
"I…" I stuttered looking around. "That battle was too costly…" I sighed.
"Indeed, and it came out of nowhere. The number of lives we lost is not small." The Old Ancestor said, agreeing with me.
"I do hope the others had better luck. If not… Plans might have to change." I noted, with a tone that said it all, I really was counting on the forces already present in the battlefield to be enough as a baseline… Now, that was not the case. "Anyway, it doesn't change what I must do here for the survivors." I said and handed a similar looking orb to all of them. "Refine this into your Small Universes. It will completely protect you from the Ink Force. It has the potential to even change your fate, allowing you to break the 2 rank promotion limit. It only works once though." I explained.
"This would have been incredibly helpful earlier." A 7th rank cried, starting to complain.
"Don't complain about not having it. The plan is what didn't work out in the end. We should be fortunate to have this chance." Another 7th rank said, through a flood of tears. "A chance to take vengeance with our own hands."
"You have the right mindset. Originally I was planning on distributing these once I ordered the first Myriad to deploy in the near future. However, the Ink clan was a bit more cunning and fearful of me than predicted. They acted upon this fear, and you know the rest." I explained, in a soothing tone. "Too many people have died as a result of this long and drawn out war…" I then turned to the Old Ancestor. "I want you to prepare to immortalize the dead upon the monument. Once it's complete I will return here and create monuments in my small universe for all the people there, so they may name their children after these heroes."
"Where are you headed now?"
"To the other Mountain Passes, I must restore their strength as soon as possible. It's likely the troops I've ordered to deploy will arrive before I return. They'll explain their purpose here when they arrive." I said, then like usual, I vanished, crossing the distance to the next place with ease.
"Wait, he's not using the teleport arrays? Just how fast is he exactly?" One of the 8th rank generals asked, half panicking.
"Such monstrous power and speed. I… I get the feeling that this war will end in our generation. That young man is truly something else. Someone not to be trifled with." The Old Ancestor mentioned.
"I'd bet the women he's married are also fierce. They'd have to be able to handle bedding him even once. Let alone multiple times."
"How crude! I'd bet they are well refined, with a lot of power at their disposal."
"Isn't it funny how we just assume he has multiple wives?"
"Uh, no. Let me tell you something, us women like to have a man all to ourselves, hell I'd like to have a couple. But I'd be more than content being a harem wife to a man like that." A 7th rank shouted her explanation, as the other women cheered her on. "In fact, I'm curious, is it possible for me to gain a spot in his harem? I may be older than him, but I don't mind… Old Ancestor, do you think it is possible for me?"
"Uh… Honestly, I'm not sure. I didn't get the sense that he was actively thinking about those thoughts. Then again, I couldn't sense anything aside from his freakishly awesome power. Though, I suppose a good start would be to successfully refine these… WHAT THE HELL IS THIS! IT'S MADE FROM THE 12 COLUMNS!"
