Opting not to spare any expense in their efforts, and knowing that they'll be relatively useless when the fight actually begins, the Space Dao Masters aside from Yang Kai, worked their powers and warped the New Great Evolution Army into the fray.
There was no need to stay quiet and hidden this time around. Yang Kai was more than enough to completely dismantle a small handful of royal lords. And Smiles, she was enough to do the same with 2.
~ Great Evolution Pass ~
Under the ink clan's control. The pass had suffered damages beyond comprehension. It lacked most of the former beauty, and sophistication it once had. The ink clan were truly nothing more than a plague upon this world. One that must be stamped out with extreme prejudice.
Filled with Ink clan all over the place, it really was a terrible sight. This was also one of the few places that still held a sizable portion of ink disciples. This really wouldn't be an easy fight regardless of how strong Yang Kai and Smiles were.
A Feudal Lord noticed the sudden arrival of the human army, and in a rushing panic began shouting. "HUMAN ATTACK! THE HUMANS ARE ATTACKING!"
A Territory Lord smacked the Feudal Lord on the head. "Shut up will you?" He scoffed. "Battle stations! Let's kill some humans!"
The Ink Clan mobilized under the orders of the Territory Lord. Causing the others to rally their own forces as well. And the appearance of the Royal Lords.
Smiles whistled at the impressive line up. "Wow, Leiji was right. They had five of these fools here, and 2 9th rank ink disciples."
Yang Kai, glanced over to another individual who was seething with fury. "So, how many of them have broken their bounds as Ink Disciples? It doesn't look great from my perspective."
Troublesome Grand Master, Ma Fan, shook his head. "I can't tell from here. My vision is not as good as yours is Palace Master."
Yang Kai took a step forward, reading his spear in command of the forces. "Well then, in that case… We'll just be extra careful with them. If I can't help them, Leiji probably can. That Lightning of his is nothing to scoff at after all." He smirked, raising his spear high. "Capture the Ink Disciples if you can! Aside from that…" His lips twisted. "KILL THE ENEMY!"
With that declaration, Yang Kai charged forward, and like an unyielding spear, he broke the enemy's forward line. His target, the Royal Lords. Once he got closer he noticed something about their line up and smirked. "Leiji really is quick on the draw."
The first of the two Ink Disciples shouted. "You, a mere 8th rank dare to come and challenge us?!"
The second followed suit. "You must have a death wish!"
A royal lord spread their massive arm down to block the two from starting this battle. "You two will run support in this battle, understood."
The two nodded with a bow. "Understood, sir royal lord."
And it was then Yang Kai should have stopped to talk. "Wait, why isn't he stopping?" A royal Lord questioned, just before he was run straight through, a brand new addition to his inky body. "Gurg- What just--" He died, spreading his ink force to the remaining royal lords in an effort to keep them alive longer.
Yang Kai, having killed one of the five royal lords, so easily in fact, finally came to a halt. "Wow, here I thought royal lords are meant to be strong… Guess that was a load of bull. My own son can stop that attack. Yet it was too strong for you?" He taunted, laughing.
"HOW DARE YOU!"
"Woah now, calm down. That's no way to thank me."
"Thank you? Why should we?"
"Well, because of me, he died a holy death. Surely that speaks for something." Yang Kai laughed. "Well, I guess it doesn't really matter in the end though. You're all going to Hell. Once you arrive, you can tell the King there who sent you."
A battle ensued, with royal lords attacking Yang Kai from just about every direction possible. The two ink disciples were occasionally trying to attack as well, but their attacks always ended up hitting a royal lord instead. Though, with how hectic the battle actually was, the royal lords had no room to give any further orders. They were now completely locked in combat with Yang Kai.
Smiles, seeing that the plan was going well, prepared her own strike. This would be the moment she could fully demonstrate the full power her martial coil granted to her. "I'm not going to hold back."
From beneath the Ink Clan's army, a flurry of orangish gold whips and binds sprouted, whipping away the smoke screen, killing any ink clan not strong enough to survive a strike of the whip. Though it didn't matter, Smiles wasn't whipping them. She was killing them, those who survived the initial whips, were targeted by the binds, now holding the entirety of the Ink clan army in place.
Taking a deep breath, Smiles' lips curled into a satisfied grin as she pulled her arms back and took a step forward, her figure pronounced, powerful, and prideful. "That takes care of that. And look at that, I was able to spare all the ink disciples. That mortal Coil really did wonders for me. I'll have to thank my son again after this. Now then, should I go and help my husband out or? No, he has it covered."
After several days of fighting. Yang Kai, had managed to overcome the Royal Lords, leaving behind the ink disciples. Who greeted Yang Kai warmly.
"Thank you for coming. We apologize for not being of much assistance. But even with the blessing that we got that one day several years ago, it's difficult to maintain control."
"Blessing?"
"Yes, there was a bolt of lightning that nearly shattered myself and a royal lord. But, when I came too, I was fine and had recovered my reason. Though. It is difficult to fool these ink clans for so many years. I was able to hide long enough, and when my friend here broke through, I helped him out by sharing a bit of the lightning with her."
"Ahahaha! Seems my son really did have an effect on this battle. Even in his absence."
The woman smirked. "Oh? That was your son's power? He must be a dragon among men."
"Hmm?"
"My apologies, but it's impossible not to recognize his power, especially after having felt it for this long."
