After my conversation and date with Amber, things started to slipstream. I worked on my crafting and found myself starting to understand new things about the game in small ways. There was a guidance system, and some of the things were guided. I found that as I got better with the tool, my body just started to follow set things, allowing for better quality in the final product. It took me a dozen tries and scrapping several guns, but as we moved to the planet where Ura had scheduled our meetings with the Recruiters, I finally made a revolver.
—---
Custom Revolver (Can change the name) Rare
+5% Bullet speed
+10% Armor Piercing
- 5% Reloading speed
This is a custom revolver made by an Artisan Gunsmith who is still learning. What the gun lacks in speed, it makes up for in slightly increased power. It is a six-round Revolver meant to punch through basic body armor and helmets.

I grinned as I looked at the gun that I modeled closely after the old Colt handguns I would see in Western movies when I was a kid. It was not close, but it was getting there, as the aesthetics were hard to get down. It was a little messy, but everything was in place, and I loved it.
It's too bad I was not going to use it personally. I could give it to Emma, though. This thing was going to be loud, and the kick was going to be hard. It was a trial project, and it came out great. I could not help the massive smile on my face as I looked at the gun.
It was made for a 5mm rifle shot instead of a 9mm, so the bullets were oversized for a handgun. That being said, this thing could take the forces. It just would suck to reload at the moment since I had to reinforce the frame making it so speed reloaders could not reload it. You had to put the bullets in slowly while the revolving part was still in the gun.
That was the major issue with the gun, and I hoped to find better materials to speed up reloading. Still, if some armor-piercing rifle ammo is put into this gun, it will shoot a hole through the armor.
Or at least that is what I believe without being tested.
Putting the gun to the side, I got up and wondered what Nyava was up to. Since I came back from the forest, much to my surprise, she does not leave the medical room. The only person allowed in and out is her new assistant, who comes, cooks food and then takes it back. From what the newly captured assistant said, Nyava is currently on a project that she had been working on before she was captured and made into a slave. She thinks she might be on the cusp of a breakthrough and is unwilling to be taken out of work mode.
If she made a major discovery, that would be AMAZING. Imagine the income from becoming the supplier as we own the person who created it. Then again, it could be something just for us too. Then again, it was all a pipe dream at this point. I would not bet on the fact that I picked up the largest Golden nugget when purchasing slaves with a voucher.
That would be insane.
I do wonder, though, if I could bring all of this out into the main universe.
I sighed, stretched, and got up as I felt us start to land on the planet. I knew that Ura would want me suited up. I started to get everything together but just took an assault rifle and shotgun, leaving behind my sniper rifle. I walked out to the bridge, where Ura was typing something into the console before her, and a human turned up on the screen before her in a video call.
"Ura, I am sorry to say we need to delay our delivery. We had a warehouse accident and need to clean up. Do you mind delivering tomorrow?" the man said without even saying a greeting and Ura frowned.
"You know I am on a tight schedule," Ura said, her voice dark.
"We can compensate for the late delivery," The man replied with a smile, "How about an extra five percent for the inconvenience? We would like to keep you in your good graces as your shipping speed is almost unmatched." The man said. And Ura pursed her lips and was clearly thinking as I walked into the frame.
The man's eyes widened, seeing me in full armor, and Ura looked up at me, but the man could not see the mischievous smile on her face. "My associate has plans that she will also have to move around to accommodate the delay. Part of my service is protected, fast shipping, and her fee is included," Ura said.
"Ten percent," The man replied instantly, and Ura smiled.
"Nine percent is more than enough to compensate for our changed plans," Ura said, and the man smiled brightly.
"Thank you so much," The man said, "I will see you tomorrow."
The screen blanked, and Ura looked at me smiling, "Well, now we can go to the recruiting office early," Ura said, and I raised an eyebrow.
"He is the sole delivery we have, a major shipment of weapons and computer parts. I doubt he will even try to rob us, but," Ura shrugged, "Now we can go talk to the recruiters and see what we need to start the process if we get out early," Ura smiled and looked me up and down even though I was in armor and said, "Why don't we go to a hotel and enjoy each other after I help you out of the armor?"
The question hung in the air only for a moment before I lifted the helmet off my armor. "I would be happy to," I replied after a moment. She grinned, turned back to the console, imputed something, and leaned back. A moment later, a loud notification sound resounded on the bridge.
"We got permission to come early; apparently, they did not have someone before us and were using it for research time," Ura said, pointing to a message she just pulled up. I put back on my helmet.
"Then let's go," I said. Ura got up, and I looked at her busty figure in a black and blue jumpsuit that no one would call modest, even though it covered her entire body. She looked amazing, and she grinned as she caught me looking and walked in front of me to the exit. She invited the inspection crew a moment later, and I forgot about them and sighed.
It took them an hour to finish, and Ura and I waved them goodbye after they failed to find the hidden cargo. It was a little anxiety-inducing how they seemed to fail to catch the hidden compartment again and again. What did they do to make the ship easily hide the cargo area?
It was a question that, if we answered, we could make ships of our own one day. We might even need to take apart one ourselves to do it. Imagine a freightliner with a larger bay for it instead of trying to hide it in the large pile of cargo.
I grinned, and Ura followed, locking the ship as we went. Emily was in a great mood as she walked by just before we exited. She waved goodbye to us as we went down the ramp. It took only a moment for the door to shut, and the ship was locked from intruders.
Yawning, I realized I had been taking cat naps mostly lately for my character. It was probably not a great thing to do. It did not take long for us to make it to an AI cab and depart for the recruiters, while Ura and I remained silent for a while. The silence was broken after ten minutes when she turned to me.
"SleepyWonder, who do you want to lead the negotiations?" Ura asked.
"I think we need to play it by ear," I replied as we went along, "But I think that as the captain of the ship, you should lead overall. I will let you know my opinion, though. I will act like a mercenary, though. I want them to think that you are not sure about me in the context of this meeting. It might prove beneficial if they think that I have a," I paused to think of the right word,
"A separate plan from you," I finished, and Ura tilted her head.
"You mean, like that, we are not on the same page?" Ura asked.
"No, like I am out to betray you. I want to see how this place acts if I look like I am hired muscle that you have to give a portion of the company to for protection. So, I would have a separate agenda. If they think that, I wonder if they would call it out, or maybe," I grinned, "Try to use me to get an in. It is something that can just be fun if they don't. But if it isn't, then we can use this as a time to avoid their spies. I will smile brightly for anyone that we should not take. You will never go for those people, and you will do the same. Make it look like if we like that person a lot; we don't want the other to have them. Like a background fighting."
Ura chuckled, "You are right; that does sound fun."
"Then let's do that," I said with a grin.
We both had smiles on our faces when we arrived at the Recruiting agency, which had a sign right across the front saying, "MANPOWER" in large, white bold letters. I liked the name. I put my helmet on once more, followed Ura, and double-checked my weapons before walking in with her.
The building's street access opened up, and the hall greeted us. It was a large room, almost reaching a hundred meters squared, in my opinion. It was an overstatement of power, and there were various couches and sitting areas with screens around them to show privacy. It was an interesting setup, and the two similar-looking blonds were at the front behind a reception desk with some expensive-looking wood. Before them, there were a couple of people with tablets talking to them, and so we walked up as they chatted.
As we got closer, I started to notice the women looking more and more the same until I could not tell them apart except for the hairstyle. One had their hair up in a bun on the right side while the other was up on the left side opposite of the other, and they both had nice smiles and three eyes. With one in the center of their forehead, it was oddly jarring to see, and they both had two arms that were typing away at consoles before them, so I could not see behind the desk as we reached the desk.
The women looked highly competent and were talking to the two men, which we could now overhear.
"You guaranteed us employment after eight months. I do not call physical labor with my degree a job." The men I could now see were like the women, with three eyes and an extra set of hands crossed around their stomachs as they looked annoyed.
"I am like that other guy; I have a degree that is specialized, so I need companies like you, and all you have offered is-"
"Excuse me, Ura, correct?" I heard someone say, and I turned to see another woman with three eyes and four arms. They were all pale-skinned, and her smile was bright white.
"Yes, I am Ura. This is my partner, and the muscle of my new operation is called Sleepy Corp," Ura said, and the woman smiled.
"You are very suitably armed. I assure you that no one will threaten you while on the premises, although bounty hunters are allowed to be armed. Please don't threaten others or otherwise intimidate someone with them while you are here," the woman said.
"That will not be an issue if others behave themselves," I replied blandly.
"Perfect. Sorry about the little chat there. It is legal, which forces me to address the gun issue before we talk further. I am a Manager here at Man Power," the woman said with a grin. My name is Kelly, and I will be assisting you through our portfolios and interviews if you wish for your recruitment campaign." The woman said, and both Ura and I nodded.
Kelly was a woman in a nice Summer dress, which was a little surprising as I did not think it was business wear. It was a lovely baby blue loosely fitted dress with a belt across the middle. It was odd-looking because of the extra arms, but the woman turned to the side and pointed out a door to the side, which opened as she did so. "Would you like to see our selection of hires?" the woman asked.
"Yes," Ura said, showing us the way deeper into the Man Power building.
