Chapter 366 - The Other Champions 11

Alternate Title - Random Battle Results

Culture POV - Outerverse, Concepts Realm - Inexistent

With a simple though I make my physical rappresentation appear in an endless amphitheatre built in the Outerverse, my apparence is simply an indistinct humanoid shape made of light just like every Concept, only to distinguish myself, I also wear a pair of Scary Shiny Glasses, this time I chose one modelled after Silvers Rayleigh' round ones, perfect for an intelligent, wise or mentor-like character.

Once again, I'm sitting in front of every other Concept as I'm one of the fortunate remaining 18 Concepts taking part in the competition, and standing on the same row next to me are the other 17 Concept in addition to all the previous winners of all the precedent editions of the Battle Across the Omniverse, like the Concept of Purity, the Concept of Love, the Concept of Misfortune, the Concept of Friendship, the Concept of Weapons, and many others.

Their presence here is the perfect proof that no Concept's Blessing must be underestimated, especially once the Blessing reaches a high enough level.

For example, the Blessing of Purity is very weak, almost useless at low levels, but once it becomes high enough it grants the Champion an Absolutely Pure Body, and one doesn't need to be a Champion or even that intelligent to realize just how bullshit and overpowered such power is.

With this power, the Champion does not mix with materials that could spoil or alter the user's body in any way, such as poison, wounds, curses, even Time itself is able to affect an Absolutely Pure Body, it is basically a form of almost complete invincibility toward anything that can harm the Champion, the only way to overcome such power is through sheer, absolute power advantage, anything else will simply not be able to "taint" the Absolutely Pure Body.

Another good example is the Blessing of Friendship, I mean at low levels it gives one of the most useless abilities possible, but whoever has watched a good amount of animes, read a lot of mangas and light novels, and the likes, knows perfectily well what kind of bullshit power it becomes at higher levels.

At some point, the more friends the Champions have, the stronger their bonds become, the more exponential is sudden burst of power in a difficult time becomes, and there is no limit at all to what kind of burst of power a Champion of Friendship can reach.

One of the Winning Champions had so many close friends that during the last, hard battle against another very powerful Champion of Replication, who was able to replicate the powers/traits of objects/beings, whether technological, mystical, biological, or whatever else, that were in proximity to them to use whenever it wanted, he unleashed a burst of power so outrageous that his last attack obliterated half of the Omniverse together with his opponent.

But without any doubt, one of the most powerful is the Blessing of Love, in the first few level it only makes the Champion slightly more likable and sensitive toward other people feelings, mostly love and attraction, nothing powerful or even that useful in the long run, but once the Blessing rises to an higher level, then it truly becomes something fearsome as the Champion becomes able to make realities and even universes fall in love with them and make them do everything in their considerable power to help them.

Thanks to that, the Champions of Love are some of the most successful in the Battle Across the Omniverse, with over 69 wins across the various editions we have hosted.

There is a good reason why the saying, "There is nothing more powerful, more radical, more transformational than love," is so prevalent in all the Omniverses we created; that is because it is a very well-proven truth, as no Concept has won more Battles Across the Omniverse than Love.

While my mind wanders around the Blessing of my fellow Concepts, the host for this event manifests his physical rappresentation on the stage, again the host is the first winner of the Battle Across the Omniverse, the Concept of Family, the one whose Champion was the template we used to create Dominic Torreto for the Fast and Furious Universe, especially his manners and catchphrase.

Just like I and the other Concepts, Family's apparence too is simply an indistinct humanoid shape made of light, the only difference is a very distinct silver cross hanging on his neck, another homage to his first Champion, which once again is very similar to the one that Dominic Toretto has, since he was created in his image.

Family gives a light bow and says, [Welcome, everyone. Another Random Battle has finally come to an end. And now the most anticipated event of this Competition has once again started, the Random Battle's Highlights, where the competing Concepts will finally learn the result of this Random Battle and gain some information on their opponents' Champions and their current state. While we all together will once more enjoy their best moments and failures!]

In response to that, all the Concepts present start to clap their hands and cheer loudly, some even good-naturedly whistle to further show their excitement and anticipation.

After a few moments of chaos, things settle down and an immense screen appears behind Family as it says, [Surprisingly, the competition is quickly heating up among the Champions as their numbers dwindle and they grow more and more powerful. Now, without further ado, let's start with the first pairing on schedule, the Champion of Culture against the Champion of Void!]

Immediately, the scenes of Jayr's intense battle against the Champion of Void in the Challenge Space filled the screen showing the start of their exchange where they easily destroy a planet reinforced by us before they restarted to battle in the outer space, how the Champion of Void transformed into a Legendary Super Saiyan 4 turning into an absolute beast that blasted Jayr's body into pieces, how Jayr quickly reformed his body using Dark Ressurection like nothing happened and then transformed into his Dragon Form as the battle continued.

In the end, Jayr used one of his Trump Cards and transformed into a Humanoid Dragon Form, which not only made his body much more agile, but also compressed and enhanced his power to an absurd level to the point that he obliterated the Champion and the reinforced galaxy we created with a single powerful punch.

As expected, the other Concepts enjoyed the sight of Jayr's battle very much to the point that many of them cheered when the scene of Jayr's unbelievably powerful punch was replayed.

Family then comments, [As you can see, after a very exciting, high-level battle, the Champion of Culture overcame the Champion of Void, who was one of the favorites for the ultimate win. This bodes very well for Culture, who may have a serious chance to earn his first ever win!]

At this point, the other Concepts start to graciously clap their hand and some of them even cheer for me.

At the same time, Void, who was sitting nearby, looks at me and says in its usual monotone voice, [That was a good battle. Congratulations, Culture. Your Champion is truly exceptional.]

I look back at him and simply nod before replying, [Thank you, Void, I was very lucky. Your Champion was also very strong, with a bit more luck, you could have easily advanced a lot more...]

Shortly after saying that, I focus back on the stage as Family continues the show, [The next pair was quite different from the previous one. The Champions of Culture and Void showed us an exciting battle full of power, skills, and wits. This one is more like a well-planned assassination. I'm talking about the clash between the Champion of Earth and the Champion of Balance!]

As soon as Family's voice falls, the huge screen behind him comes to life once again, this time showing the scene of a green Twi'lek from the Star Wars Universe as he walks across the busy streets of what looks like a Japanese city with a focused and wary expression on his face.

All of a sudden, what looks like a very localized earthquake happens as everything starts to shake with such force that some of the nearby buildings start to crumble, endangering all the innocent people on the streets.

Seeing that, the Twi'lek doesn't hesitate to strain himself using the Force to hold onto the crumbling buildings and save as many people as possible.

At this point, a young woman approaches him, she has short brown hair, tan skin tone, and her eyes are quite strange as they naturally look like they are closed.

Besides her, there is a bipedal creature that I immediately recognize as the Pokémon Marowak, which means that the earthquake isn't a natural occurrence but likely the result of the Pokémon's Move Earthquake.

The woman who is the Champion of Earth doesn't gives the Twi'lek Champion of Balance any chance to do anything as she quickly orders her Marowak to finish the job and the Pokemon does it by unleashing a very powerful Hyper Beam that hits and kills the defenseless Champion of Balance in a single blow before the huge screen fades to black.

At this point, Family cheerfully comments, [As you all could see, that was a well-planned execution. The Champion of Earth left the Champion of Balance no chance at all, earning a well-deserved and decisive victory!]

At the same time, I suddenly hear Earth snort out loud in a clearly annoyed tone, which makes a nearby Balance ask in a curious tone, [What's wrong, Earth? Aren't you happy that your Champion won? I mean, if you, who has won, are like this, how should I feel?]

In response, Earth looks at our fellow Concept and replies, [I'm upset because my Champion is in a very precarious state; she is basically compromised. If nothing drastic happens, I fear that this victory will be completely useless as someone else will soon enjoy the fruits of her labor... Unfortunately, I can't do anything to help her as our rules state the limits of what we can do to help our Champions very clearly. The most I can do is hope for the best and make sure that her next life will be as good as possible in the case she dies in this competition.]

Shortly after that, I focus back on Family as he introduces the next pair of Champions, [After an exciting battle and a successful assassination, it's time to see something a little more mundane, but in no way less entertaining. It's time to watch the result of the battle between the Champion of Life and the Champion of Karma! The two of them engaged in a play of hunter and prey where the Champion of Life finally reveals her fangs!!]

Once again the huge screen behind Family comes to life and I watch as the Champion of Life is laying on a bench of what look like a park while some distance away, a cat-like Devil from the Chansaw Man Universe is causing mayhem by making objects and people around it randomly explode which is clearly some kind of bait for the enemy Champion.

She is a tall young woman of slim to athletic build with pale complexion, long, wavy black hair styled in a braided twin tail, gray eyes, and long eyelashes, who is wearing a black school uniform and a set of large black glasses.

Then the scene suddenly changes, showing another woman standing on the rooftop of a tall building that is located some distance away from the park where the Champion of Life is located.

She is a beautiful young woman around my champion' s age with mid-length light-brown hair and brown eyes, wearing some comfortable jeans, a white pullover, and a headpiece with a large eye attached to it that I immediately recognize as the Almighty Five Sights: Spectator a Teigu from the Akame Ga Kill Universe.

Almighty Five Sights: Spectator is a Support-type Teigu, and it has five different abilities related to sight.

Insight that it can be used to read an opponent's mind and thereby predict their next move, greatly increasing the user's combat prowess.

Farsight is used to search for things and allows the user to have long-range vision.

Clearsight has the ability to look through solid objects.

Foresight that, by seeing the smallest muscle movements, allows the user to see what a person will do next, almost like the Observation Haki from the One Piece Universe.

And lastly, Illusion Sight, the ability to cast an illusion that causes the target to see their most precious person before their eyes.

Overall, in the right hands, it can be quite a useful Teigu, especially since, unlike many of the other Teigu of that universe, there is no actual issue or danger in using it.

Seeing that, I immediately realize that Champion of Karma is currently using the Farsight ability to look at the Champion of Life, on top of that, I also see that the Champion of Karma's eyes are now bright and shining red, a sign that she is using the Eyes of the Shinigami that allow the user to see both the names and lifespans of people floating above their heads.

Soon the Champion of Karma's expression changes as she starts to grimace before a determited expression forms on her face, likely the result of the Champion of Karma using the most basic ability of the Blessing of Karma, the ability to see the Karma of an individual and from her expression it is clear that the Champion of Life may have done some horrible things.

The scene on the screen suddenly changes back to the Champion of Life as she quickly jumps up from the bench and is now focusing her gaze on a tall building in the distance, the same tall building that the Champion of Karma is using.

Shortly after, her body is briefly engulfed by a pale blue flame for a moment, and then, the pale blue flame is blown away, revealing that her attire has suddenly changed, a sign that she has likely activated her powers.

Her new outfit consists of a black ankle-length tailcoat, a high-necked dark gray waistcoat with gold buttons, cinched black pants, brown-black winklepickers boots with tall heels, and red gloves.

Over her eyes is a white, birdlike domino mask with black designs around the eyes reminiscent of full eyeliner and sharp lashes.

Her current attire immediately reminds me of Joker of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5, making me realize that this Champion has very likely powers related to that universe, making her a very fearsome opponent to face.

Immediately after activating her powers, the Champion of Life doesn't waste any more time and quickly moves toward the building she was focusing on with speed, grace, and agility fitting the title of Phantom Thief.

She quickly left the park and jumped on top of a nearby building with the help of a grappling hook before jumping from building to building until she reached her destination in a matter of a few moments.

Once there, she quickly confronts her opponent, the Champion of Karma, who just finished writing something on what is clearly a Death Note and is now looking at the Champion of Life with a confident and determined expression waiting for the power of the Death Note to kill its target while the Champion of Life calmly waits with her arms crossed completely unconcerned.

After waiting for some time, the Champion of Karma finally realizes with clear shock that the Death Note isn't working, and at this moment, the Champion of Life pulls out a handgun and casually shoots the Champion of Karma between the eyes, instantly killing her before the screen once again fades to black.

Then Family once again comments, [As you all could see, the Champion of Karma greatly understimated her opponent and ended up paying the ultimate price. On the other hand, the Champion of Life truly shone here and gave us a slight glimpse of what she is truly capable of. And that is clearly just the tip of the iceberg...!]

After that, Family moves on and excitedly announces, [Next, we will once again enjoy the exploit of one of the most unique Champions we have ever witnessed in all the Battles Across the Omniverse. I'm, of course, talking about the Champion of Restoration, the Champion who decided to turn himself into an almost omnipotent system and subjugate as many universes as possible, turning some of them into power sources to feed itself while empowering the habitants of some others and turning them into his slaves without their knowledge. His opponent this time was the Champion of Magnetism, a young man who saved his world from a very unfortunate fate, and since then, spent most of his life protecting his world while refining his powers to the point that he could control all the magnetic force of an entire planet!]

Soon after Family said that, the huge screen behind him once again came to life, showing the scene of a black young man with black short rasta hair and amber eyes wearing a dark-colored jacket, hoodies, pants, and high-top sneakers with a red and white accent.

It seems that the young man is waiting for something to happen as he is sitting in a cafe with his gaze fixed on a nearby clock while drinking a hot coffee, when suddenly a blue transparent screen appears in front of him and every single person present.

[Welcome to the live-streaming room!]

[This room is called the Prize Q&A Live-Streaming Room. It will randomly broadcast events from the past, present, and future of this world and its related worlds. After each broadcast, a question will be asked.]

[Answer the question correctly to receive a reward.]

[Answer incorrectly, and you will face random penalties, such as the loss of power, loss of power gained over a period of time, reduction in mastery of a random skill, loss of a random skill, loss of the Shard, loss of wealth, loss of lifespan, etc.!]

[If no one answers, one person will be randomly selected for severe punishment!]

Shortly after that, a series videos showing some events related to that world starts to be played on the blue transparent screens of every single person present and by watching those videos, I immediately realize that the two Champion were located in the Wormverse, another universe where humans suddenly started to develop supernatural powers turning in the so-called Capes of that universe something akin My Hero Academia and The Boys, only in the case of the Wormverse, the powers are granted by something called Shards that are fragments of incomprehensibly immense interdimensional colony organisms known as Entities.

At the end of the last video, a series of questions are quickly asked, and those first 5 people who answer right the fastest are given a random prize which increases in value the more correct the answer is, while those who make a mistake are punished in worse and worse way the more wrong they are.

We all watch as the Champion of Magnetism excitedly takes part in this, answering all the previous questions correctly, clearly showing that he knows quite a bit about this universe and thus earning prizes that make his smile grow bigger and bigger, especially when he reads the last one.

[Notification: Your answer is correct!!]

[Reward: Increase in lifespan by 10 years!!]

[Notification: Your answer is correct!!]

[Reward: Your Power "Magnetism" is further enhanced!!]

[Notification: Your answer is correct!!]

[Reward: You obtained The Eye Shard!!]

Unfortunately, the last question was especially difficult and tricky, and on top of that, the Champion was too blinded by his previous success to notice the trap and answered carelessly, making a fatal mistake.

[Notification: Your answer is incorrect!]

[Punishment: Your Blessing will be stripped!!]

At this point, the screen behind Family fades to black while Family comments, [As you all could see, the Champion of Restoration once more showed us all his cunningness, wit, and viciuness. He gave his opponent a false sense of safety by even rewarding him with part of his power just to make him fall even more into his trap! This one is surely one to look out for!]

After that, the event continues like that with Family introducing the pairings and then the most interesting and entertaining moments happening on the huge screen behind Family.

I watched the intense and crazy battle in the Challenge Space between the Champion of Fusion and Iggy against Jayr's allies, the Champion of Decay and the Former Champion of Gravity.

The Champion of Fusion and Iggy were surely a tricky and powerful opponent, but the combination of the Champion of Decay and the Former Champion of Gravity was just that much stronger, even more so when the Champion of Decay unleashed his Resurrection and was able to corrupt their Stands and turn them against their owners.

After the battle, the Champion of Decay promised to help the defeated Champion of Fusion to reunite with his lover and return to whatever universe they wanted before signing the usual Concept-enforced Contract.

Following that, the next pairing was that of the Champion of Reality against the Champion of Chaos.

They too opted for an all-out battle in the Challenge Space, where they could fight without worrying about harming innocent people or being killed.

The battle between them was truly a fascinating sight for the eyes. The Champion of Reality continued to masterfully use her crazy Hatsu to turn the whole fight into a Loony Tunes episode.

On the other hand, the Champion of Chaos used all kinds of Magic to counter her opponent, and I'm not talking about only the versatile Magic from her home universe, the Harry Potter Universe, but from all kinds of universes.

The Champion of Chaos clearly chose to fully specialize and invest her focus on Magic with a little bit of support from technology.

For a while, the situation was clearly in favor of the Champion of Reality as the Champion of Chaos could only barely keep up, but then, the Champion of Chaos pulled out a very impressive Trump Card, the Magia Erebea.

Magia Erebea is a forbidden technique created by Evangeline A.K. McDowell from the Negima Universe that allows the user to absorb offensive spells designed to harm enemies into their own body to the point of fusing their souls with it.

This technique feeds on the user's body and soul, but in return, the user is granted power that is many times more powerful than their previous state, and once fully completed, it even turns the user into an immortal, a truly exceptional technique.

On top of that, the crazy Champion of Chaos didn't use a normal offensive spell to fuse; she used the absolutely deadly Avada Kedavra spell, turning herself into a living Killing Curse that killed everything in her immediate surroundings.

After her victory, the Champion of Chaos also agreed to help her opponent reunite with her lover and return home in exchange for teaching her Nen before signing the agreement with a Soul-bidding Magic Contract.

After that, the next battle was quite boring as it was a crushing victory for the Champion of Power and his army of Transformers, Kryptonians, and other subdued races against a lone Champion of Creation and his lover Bibi Dong, who ended up being slaughtered.

On the other hand, the following battle was more equal and interesting, I'm talking about the battle between the Champion of Death with his almost endless army of Shadows, formed by all the beings he killed in the various universes, and the Champion of Darkness and his still incomplete Peerage.

At first, it looked like the Champion of Darkness' chances were very slim against the overwhelming numerical disadvantage, but then the Champion of Darkness pulled out one hell of a trump card.

It was revealed that he became the host of the Darkness from The Darkness Universe, one of the two primal forces of that universe as well as the original void before the coming of light which resulted in the creation of the universe itself, the embodiment of chaos, evil, disorder and darkness, a truly powerful entity.

After that, the Champion's power skyrocketed, and he started to summon an endless swarm of Darklings that started a fierce battle against the Shadows.

In the end, thanks to his superior power and the help how the harem/Peerage, the Champion of Darkness was able to kill the Champion of Death, freeing the souls of all the beings he killed before using the Keyblade to send them back to their home universes.

But without any doubt, the most shocking battle was the last one, the battle between the Champion of Growth, wielder of the fully unlocked Omnitrix, and the cute monster that is the Champion of Infinity.

At first, it looked like it would have been a hard battle for the cute Kirby in its Hypernova Battle, especially against the overwhelmingly powerful Celestialsapien, but then the Kirby Champion pulled off a "Nah, I'd win." moment.

In the true sense of the world, as its eyes became bright, vibrant blue color, and with a simple movement of his hand he unleashed a very familiar Domain Expansion technique Unlimited Void that caused the Celestialsapien to receive all kinds of stimuli and information endlessly, restraining their already somewhat hindered thought processes and actions.

This clearly meant that the Champion of Infinity has likely traveled to the Jujutsu Kaisen Universe and has likely swallowed Gojo Satoru, copying his abilities and traits, and very likely not only him.

After stalling the Celestialsapien, the Champion of Infinity didn't waste any time and immediately inhaled and swallowed the opponent Champion earning another win and gaining everything the opponent had, something clearly show by the Omnitrix Icon appearing on its chest which also makes me realize that I may have just watched the battle of my Champion's greatest threat.
