It's raining, and the cold, lifeless streets of Hell's Kitchen are filled with emptiness. No one hears the screams of a man being beaten to death for not paying the devils his due. No one hears as he screams out in vain; not even the Devil in red can hear his blood-curdling screams. The walls are stained with blood and despair as the man prays for easy passage into the gates of heaven, but little does he know a version of himself is about to take his place. Beaten bloody and bruised, his body lies motionless on the bloodstained carpet. The thugs are about to finally leave, but they hear a faint breath from the man and are about to finish him off. Suddenly the man got up and started to panic.
Rorschach POV: I had no idea where I was. One moment I was screaming at Dr. Manhattan to kill me, and the next moment I was in a strange room covered in blood that was my own. Strangely, I was able to get up without any problem. I saw that I had no injuries despite all blood stains being on my clothes and all over the room. I then noticed something was screaming at me, but I ignored it because I finally realized that I didn't have my face on. I started to look around, and I couldn't find it. Finally, one of the thugs tried to talk some sense into me, but I dodged and proceeded to break his wrist in one clean motion. I finally paid attention to the thugs. There were four of them, and none of them looked particularly dangerous, so I started to speak. I demanded them give me my face back. The thugs were confused and started to rush at me all at once, so I went into hand-to-hand combat with them. I made quick work of the thugs, beating them until they were black and blue. I went up to a random thug who was still conscious and started to interrogate him, asking the poor thug where we were, why he attacked me, but most importantly, I demanded that he give me my face back. I couldn't really understand the man, so it turns out it is hard to speak with no teeth, but I did get some information. Apparently, I was in a place called Hell's Kitchen, and he attacked me because I did something to make his boss mad. So, I started to question him about his boss, but he didn't want to give it up, so I gave him a gentle reminder. I walked out of the room and found myself in some sort of abandoned place, maybe an old store or something like that. The criminal spilled the beans and told me he worked for a guy named Kingpin. I tried to get more information out of him, but he didn't make it, and now I was alone on a cold, damp street with no idea where I was and all alone.
Third person Pov
Daredevil was on one of his normal patrols of Hell's Kitchen. He then heard the sound of faint breathing inside an old abandoned store. He looked around and saw that there were four thugs and one of them was dead. He took a deeper look into the area and found blood everywhere. He notices blood covered footsteps leading to a car outside that looks like it was broken into by someone for some reason. He went back inside and started to try and wake up the beaten thugs and got some information out of them. Apparently they were ordered to get rid of someone and they thought they had successfully killed the man but he somehow recovered and beat three of them near death and one of them to death. They described the man as a red haired, expressionless man and he was demanding for his face back for some reason Daredevil alerted the police and went back to his normal patrol he was thinking about the man who reminded him of someone. For some reason something told him this guy was something dangerous. The man showed absolutely no mercy to them and even killed one of them mostly by accident from trying to get info from the poor man but for now he can only wait and see if he will show his face again or will it be a one off thing.
Rorschach was exploring this place called Hell's Kitchen and saw that it was a crime-infested shithole. He soon realized that he was going to have to get his face back, so he immediately tried to find someone to make him a mask. It took some time, but after asking around and a few broken bones later, he found the right guy who was able to make him a new face. He left but not after telling the guy that if he spoke of this to a single soul, it would be the last thing he ever did. Rorschach went back to investigating the new place he found himself in. He soon realized that he was not in his world anymore, and he wasn't in 1985; now it was 2008. He read about a beast called the Hulk and Tony Stark, the millionaire playboy genius who was just captured by a terrorist organization. Even in a different world, criminals still ran rampant, and he was going to have to suit up once again to serve true justice. He didn't know the place well, but he did know that his main target was going to be the Kingpin. From what he heard, the Kingpin owns the city and is a ruthless businessman with his own fighting capabilities. He also heard of a vigilante called Daredevil who was probably going to get in his way because he doesn't kill criminals. Rorschach, after gathering his thoughts, heard someone scream and decided to interfere.
He saw what it looks like to be a man getting blackmailed by some Kingpin thug, but the man refused to comply with them. Now they were going to resort to using force. Before they could attack the guy, Rorschach made his debut and stopped them from hitting the man. The thugs looked at Rorschach and told him that they worked for Kingpin. If he didn't stop, they would kill him and his loved ones. Rorschach continued to walk towards them with a menacing aura around him that promised pain. The thugs didn't care and decided to teach him a lesson, but Rorschach dodged and responded with a flurry of attacks that easily dispatched the thugs, who were now kissing the concrete. Rorschach asked the man who he was and why they decided to attack him. The man explained that he was testifying against the Kingpin. In response, Kingpin sent people to discourage him. After getting all the information he needed, he left without another word and disappeared into the darkness as if he was never there.
