~AVA
I pushed back a bit and he grinned. "Is this how you want to get married? You will never be a wife." He spat and grabbed me by my arm.
I looked up at him staggering as I wondered what he was trying to do. He dragged me to my room and threw me to the floor, took out all the keys that could help me out of the room, and locked me in. Shocked, I rushed to the door hitting it. "Julian, I have a life to live. I can't be locked in here again, please." I shouted hoping he would hear me.
"You have no life and that's why you will be in there for three days. No food, no water." He spat and I could hear him walking away.
I sat on the floor feeling defeated. I touched my stomach. "I hadn't eaten the night before, neither did I prepare to go three days without food or water. How was I going to cope like this?" I thought and lay on the floor, and within three minutes, I dozed off.
I got up several times, switching positions as I was already feeling a lot of discomfort in my system.
At some point, I pulled out my dress to be completely naked because I wasn't feeling myself anymore and it was then a card fell to the floor. I went to pick it up, and it was then I recalled the man who had saved me the previous night.
At the front of the card were mighty names; LUCAS BROOKS. And they were written with bold ink and below it were about three different numbers.
I turned to my bed and realized my phone was there and without wasting time, I quickly got the numbers saved. I had no idea who this man was, but he seemed to be a very good man, and though I didn't have many conversations with him, he somehow gave me a lasting impression, and thinking about the little moment with him only made me feel free.
But I knew it was all in my head.
Three days passed yet Julian hadn't thought it would be nice to open the door for me. I had already given up on it and was surviving on the water I got from the bathroom. I kept drinking it to stay alive until after four days. I heard the sound of my room door opening and could only let my tears pour. He pushed the door open and saw me helpless on the floor. "I have decided to show you mercy with the hopes that you would never dare me again because if you do, I may help you get to six feet beneath the world." He threatened and then walked away. I managed to get to the kitchen and prepared something hot and light for myself to eat and right after that, I went straight to bed again feeling very weak
It was the middle of the day when I woke up again and was able to think clearly. I then made some potatoes for myself and Julian to eat, and right after I got it served on his table, I took my portion to my room to eat before drifting into sleep again, and by the time I woke up this time, it was already 10 pm.
I walked to dinner and realized that the food I had served Julian was still there and untouched. I then thought of going to check up on him. If he didn't eat my food, then something must be wrong, or did he think I would poison him?
I was worried and at this point, wanted to make this relationship work.
When I got closer to his room door, I started hearing some sounds.
I rolled my eyes in defeat, knowing he had brought a woman to our house again, and was about to turn to leave when I heard my name mentioned.
Stunned, I got closer to the door and even placed my ear on it and there, I recognized the voice.
I tried to process my brain, hoping that I was only imagining things, and this wasn't through. My body shivered as I grabbed my chest.
"Ava would never give it to you like this. She is nothing but a fucking bitch, calling my number as though I am her savior." Rita's voice sounded again.
"Haha, exactly. She is always miserable. Urgh you know she doesn't know shit. You are sweeter than she could ever be. How could I dare compare a sugar like you to her a pest like that bitch." Julian moaned and I could hear his slapping her ass.
"Do it again. Fuck me harder." Rita replied to him. "She will wait for the ring till eternity. She will never be a wife. I will get married to you in her face haha."
I grabbed the walls wishing my hands could dig into them. This wasn't happening!
At least, I hope, but the sound of them having sex told me otherwise and broke me beyond words. My legs became weak and I struggled to stand there.
I made my way back to my room and knew all of a sudden that my existence was nothing but a bad idea.
I thought I had a friend. I had even been trying to reach her to share my problems with her as usual but failed. Turned out she was also a part of my problems.
Picking up my phone and the card Lucas had given to me, I felt like it was all I owned in my life, and without wasting any more time, I walked out of Julian's mansion to never return.
Outside of the mansion, I turned to stare at the mansion. Turned out there was nothing for me in here. I almost choked on my tears as I turned and walked away without knowing where I would eventually find myself.
I got to a certain junction and remembered the card I took with me. I stared at it for a while and then reached for the number on my phone. I dialed it and almost instantly, he picked up.
