Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Heartbroken Miss Granger

After getting Lucas's answer, a rare smile appeared on Snape's face.

Immediately afterwards, the corners of his slightly raised mouth were pressed down.

"Then, Mr. Geralt, follow me."

After speaking, Snape walked in front of him resolutely, and Lucas followed closely behind him.

There were a lot of people in the entire Leaky Cauldron Bar. After all, this was the gathering place of wizards in London, so most of them were drinking and chatting here.

Before Lucas could take a look, Snape pulled him into an alley with a wall.

There was also a trash can placed in the corner of this wall.

"Count three bricks above this trash can, then two across the way."

With that said, Snape picked up his wand and tapped the brick twice, and then a fantastic scene appeared in front of them.

The bricks began to move constantly, and soon a circular stone gate was formed, revealing the crowded streets inside.

"Remember where I hit just now; you'll use it later."

Snape had a very good impression of this little wizard who was about to join Slytherin House. Naturally, there would be more.

"Understood!"

Lucas nodded, and then his pale blue eyes looked curiously at the street that belonged to wizards.

This was Diagon Alley, where you buy things, and where all wizards gather.

After coming to Diagon Alley, the first thing to do was to exchange some Galleons, which were the common currency among wizards in this world.

The place where money is exchanged is called Gringotts.

Under Snape's leadership, the two soon arrived at the entrance of Gringotts.

The bronze-colored door stood at the corner of the street, and beside the door were two neatly dressed goblins.

When the two walked into Gringotts, a goblin greeted them.

"What kind of service do you two want?"

"I'll exchange for Galleons."

After speaking, Lucas opened the backpack that he had been carrying behind him.

He put the sleeping frog cub on his head and immediately took out a gold bar, placing it on the table.

Immediately afterwards, he saw a glint of light flashing in the eyes of all the goblins around him, which were greedy eyes.

In this world, goblins were the most greedy.

Thinking of this, Lucas put his backpack on the table and poured out the gold inside.

The gold in this half-backpack cost at least half of Lucas's estate!

Arguably, Lucas now had more assets than some pure-blood wizarding families.

"How many gold Galleons can these be exchanged for?"

Before coming back, Lucas had already learned about the currency situation here from Snape.

Gold Galleons were the most valuable, followed by Silver Sickles and Bronze Knuts.

After the two came out of Gringotts again, Lucas now had more than 10,000 gold Galleons in his hands.

He had only taken out 200 Galleons now, and a key from the Gringotts vault.

Next, he would shop for wands and everyday items.

Under Snape's guidance, Lucas came to a room.

The sign above read: "Ollivander's Wand Shop."

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Ollivander walking over with a smile, greeting cordially: "Long time no see, Professor Snape, thirteen and one-half inches long, birch, phoenix feather core."

"Long time no see, Mr. Ollivander." Snape nodded, then said, "Your memory is as good as ever."

"Of course!" said Ollivander proudly. "I remember any wand I've sold here, including their owner."

"Is this little guy here to buy a wand?"

Looking at Lucas, who was standing behind Snape, curiously looking at the boxes of wands around him, he asked happily.

"Yes, sir, I think I need a wand."

Seeing Ollivander looking at him, Lucas responded with a smile.

"Everyone has their own wand, and the fit of both parties must be perfect. You must know that the wand chooses the owner. If you encounter an inappropriate wand, your magic will be greatly reduced."

"Come and let me measure you, little wizard."

With that said, Ollivander picked up the tape measure and began to measure Lucas's height, head circumference, arm length, etc., which made Lucas a little puzzled.

"Do I still need to measure these things to buy a wand?"

"It's to help you cut down on inappropriate wands, alright, little wizard."

Ollivander recorded the data, then asked Lucas, "Which is your dominant hand?"

"Right hand," Lucas replied.

"Oh, wait for me to see." Ollivander put away the tape measure, then went to the depths of the store, found a small box, and took out a light black wand. "Come on, try this one!"

"Cedar wood, ptarmigan feathers, thirteen inches, the aptitude of the powerful, try it out."

"Just wave the wand in your hand, little wizard!"

Lucas took the wand and waved it lightly, followed by an arc of electricity from the tip of the wand.

Lucas could feel that he could control that tiny arc.

In the surprised eyes of Snape and Ollivander, the arc began to slowly draw in the air.

After a while, a golden tree with golden yellow leaves appeared in front of everyone.

"Good... so pretty..."

A melodious voice sounded from the doorway. Lucas turned his head and saw a delicate-looking little girl with long fluffy brown hair.

Behind her stood a couple.

Lucas raised his eyebrows, then controlled the arc to dissipate in mid-air.

"Thank you, beautiful lady."

"Awesome, perfect fit."

At this moment, Ollivander couldn't help clapping his hands.

And Snape nodded in agreement.

"Thank you for the wand."

Lucas responded with a smile.

At this moment, the little girl at the door also recovered from the scattered golden trees and looked at Lucas with a pair of brown eyes.

Ollivander turned his attention to the little girl at the door.

"Little wizard, do you need a wand too?"

"Ah, my name is Hermione Granger, and I need a wand, sir!"

The little girl said.

And Lucas stood by, familiar with his wand, his expression flashing a little bit of understanding.

Sure enough, it was Miss Hermione.
