đ„ ABELIA'S POV đ„
Soon, we were discharged from the hospital, myself and Nemo who stood by me with every decision I took.
Nemo was a blessing to me, and yes, I didn't fail to notice his extreme handsomeness and Nemo's interest in me, but I felt incomplete, bound to a wheelchair, making a part of me, missing. My confidence was destroyed, and my insecurity jumped a hundred feet tall.
"I'll help you get into the car," Nemo stated, breaking the traumatizing silence.
"I don't need your help," I coldly retorted, struggling to get into the car. The only thing I had left was my pride.
"Abelia, just let me help you," Nemo pleaded, feeling helpless. He stared at me for a while and then realized I had decided to help myself, and I was firm about it.
Taking a deep breath, he bent towards me. My heart skipped a beat, I could feel his warm, tickling breath on my skin as he stared deeply into my soul. "You can't take revenge this way Abelia⊠you need help. You need me, and I don't mind you using me," Nemo blurted out, gawking at me with a mixture of love, acceptance, and kindness.
"I'll find a way," I responded coldly, returning his stare.
"Stop saying you will find a way. How will you find a way? You don't even have legs, Abelia. Let me be your bullet," Nemo yelled out in frustration. Ignoring him, I got into the car and slammed the door shut, in an attempt to show how serious I was.
Reluctantly, Nemo gave up and got into the driver's side. Clenching onto the wheel, he began driving.
"Where are we going?" I voiced out calmly, ignoring Nemo's disappointed face.
"My house," he stated coldly, still frowning.
"Why are you helping me?" I whispered, trying to understand why a stranger would drive another stranger to his house even after knowing she was dangerous.
"Because I have fallen for you. Not you, your face. You have a very annoying, terrible character. Abelia â just let me help you," Nemo pleaded, resuming the conversation.
"You can't! Do you know the kind of person you are getting involved with? Do you want to die? Stay out of this, or you are really joking with your life," I warned with a serious tone. This fight is not a game, and I wish he knew how dangerous the people we are talking about are.
The rest of the journey was cupped with silence, Nemo refused to say any more words since his last propulsions, and I couldn't blame the young man. When I was his age, everything was fun to me, including wars and attacks.

đ„ NEMO'S APARTMENT, NIGHT đ„Â
We got to his apartment, which was a portable house built in the middle of the woods, far from the city side, and he drove into the parking space, then proceeded to help me get out of the car and into the apartment, but I immediately shoved his hands off stubbornly.
Struggling, I got out of the car and pushed myself forward in the direction of his apartment, but he just stood there, watching me stubbornly struggle to push myself.
"I won't let him make me feel helpless," I decided, making up my mind.
Getting to the door, I was confronted with a staircase. Stunned, I looked back and found Nemo still looking at me with a smile on his lips and an expression that said- "Go on."
Disappointed, I stared at the staircase with countless solutions popping into my head, and after several tries, they all proved to be useless.
Suddenly, Nemo walks towards me, still smiling.
"I'll just go in since you made it very clear you don't need my help," he blurted out and proceeded to go in.
"Wait!" I exclaimed reluctantly, shutting my eyes and swallowing my pride, but he didn't budge.
"Help me⊠must I spell it out?" I yelled out.
Nemo turned towards me with raised eyebrows, gawking at me.
"No," he declared, and my mouth opened in a daze.
"What?" I retorted, shocked about his sudden refusal. He wanted to help me all along, didn't he?
"Climb up the stairs yourself, you said it, you never need my help," he retorted with a serious face.
"But I do now, please stop making me feel pathetic," I begged with a pitiful expression on my face, and without saying any word, he bent in front of me, motioning me to get on his back, and I hurriedly did.Â
Nemo carried me up the stairs and then into my bedroom, placing me on the bed before going back to pick up the wheelchair.
"Hungry?" he asked upon return, and I shook my head in refusal. If there's anything I want the most right nowâŠit's sleep.
"Alright, Abelia, goodnight. Call me if you need to use the restroom or anything else," Nemo stated and stormed out.
I gawked at him, "If you want to see me naked, just say it."
Carry me to the restroom? Why would he do that?
Pervert.
"I'll be fine," I whispered to the empty room and drifted to sleep.

As I trailed through the abandoned house, every creak of the old house sounded like a sinister whisper.
Shadows danced on the wall, like skeletal fingers grasping for me. Every step felt heavier as if the floor was sinking beneath me. The darkness whispered secrets, a chilling melody, echoing through my mind.
I tried to scream, but my voice was frozen in my throat. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, trapping me. My heart raced, pulsating in my temples. I was paralyzed, frozen in fear.
"You think you can get away from me?" a voice sounded from nowhere, it was that of my brother Cain, clinging to me with all the power he has.
"Please let me go," I cried out, breathing heavily in horror.
"I will never let you go, Abelia. I will kill you in our world, and when you get to hell, you will meet me there ready to torment you again," he screamed out, laughing sarcastically.
I rushed towards the door, my body trembling, but all my attempts to escape proved useless. I felt helpless,
I felt like I was choking under the harshness of his words. I grasped my neck and fell to the floor, ready to give up, but heard my name echoing through the room with a voice I remember.
"Abelia!"
"Nemo," I called back, smiling through my agony as my eyes flew open, covered in sweat. It was a restless sleep, plagued by the echoes of my subconsciousness.
I felt my breath stable under the influence of Nemo's tight hug.
"Shhh⊠I'm here, we will get them all, I'll fight for you even if it's the last thing I will do."
