Journey to Mistveil Haven – The Forest That Watches
Leaving Emberpoint behind, Kael and Riven followed the old trader path into the Veilgrove Depths—an overgrown trail carved between enormous mossy trees, the canopy so thick it turned midday into twilight.
The deeper they walked, the more the world changed.
The forest breathed.
Leaves whispered secrets. Fog curled low around their feet. Strange glowing insects flickered by like living lanterns. Nothing was quiet—but nothing sounded quite alive, either.

After the first mile, their map twisted.
Literally.
Kael unrolled it—and the lines shifted on their own.
"Uh… was the path melting before?" he asked.
Riven narrowed her eyes. "Illusion magic. Stay sharp."
Suddenly, a sound—soft and wrong. Not a growl, not a hiss… a hum.

It attacked from the mist—pure stealth and shadow. Kael was knocked off his feet instantly, slamming into a root-covered boulder. Riven fired arrows into fog, but the beast flickered in and out of reality.
"Can't hit what I can't see!" she growled.
Kael activated Shadow Dash, using his new legendary blades. The swords cut through fog and illusion alike, glowing with anti-magic heat.
He caught the creature's movement—not light… heat.
Kael uses Dual Combo: Infernal Flashstrike – 2,400 DMG + Stagger
Riven follows with Precision Shot – 1,800 DMG
The beast screamed. Reality warped harder. Trees curled toward them. Roots rose to bind.
But Kael struck true—right through its illusion core.

Mistveil Haven – Arrival
The forest eventually parted to reveal towering treehouses strung together with vines and rope bridges.
Lanterns floated midair. Tamed spirit-wolves sat by doorsteps. Magic was in every stone, every breath.
And waiting at the entrance, leaning against a curved wooden gate wrapped in ivy, was a tall elven woman cloaked in leaves and shadow.
Elyra Whisperroot – Guildmaster of Pathforge
"I felt the veil stir," she said softly, her eyes glowing faint green. "You come at a time of change, flame-bearer and shadow-shot."
Riven raised a brow. "You always talk like that?"
Elyra smiled. "Only to those about to rewrite the story.
