Chapter 5 - Behind The Train Glass

"Hey, Dayas, the horizon, the six o'clock, did you forget?"

Scorpy says sleepily in a whisper to his brother sitting next to him, asleep, causing Dayas to wake up in panic and say:

"What, six o'clock? Who said that!"

Scorpy, drowsy:

"Just wake up, we don't want any problems inside this cramped train."

Dayas:

_It's fine, I've had enough sleep anyway.

Scorpy:

"And I'm tired of watching you sleep, it's my turn now."

Dayas, while being lazy:

"But you haven't told me yet why Luno called us to his house?"

Scorpy, half asleep:

"He's our older brother, I think he just wants to see us."

Dayas:

"But it's not like him to care about me, I think the reason is something else."

Scorpy:

"Don't say that, he cares about you, you know what, we'll talk in the morning, I'm tired now."

Scorpy finishes his words and then succumbs to sleep, while Dayas grabs his phone and starts browsing, suddenly hearing a voice calling from his left saying:

"Hey, Best, Dayas I'm here."

Dayas turns towards the source of the sound to find Shiny's reflection on the train window beside him, so he turns his head to the other side searching for him but doesn't find him, making Shiny laugh and say:

"Hey, I'm not a reflection, I'm actually inside the glass of the window, or let's say inside the world behind the glass of the window."

Dayas, astonished:

"What really! How did you get there?"

Shiny:

"Ah, some acquaintances."

Then he adds:

"What do you think, do you want to join?"

Dayas, hesitantly:

"Actually, I don't know, I mean you stole my feelings before so..."

Shiny interrupts Dais, saying:

"Ha, I know you don't trust me, but I'm sure you'll find something you're looking for here..."

Then he says to Dais enticingly, finishing his sentence:

"As a feeling, for example."

Dayas:

"I love strange places and your offer seems good, so I'll agree on one condition... a promise of responsibility."

Shiny:

"Whoa, it seems you have knowledge about cosmic laws... okay, it's a promise of responsibility then."

Shiny extends his arm after finishing his words, touching the glass beside him, then says:

"Touch my hand while closing your eyes at the same moment."

Dayas follows Shiny's instructions slowly, only to find himself suddenly sitting in the exact same position he was in, but with a strange atmosphere. He is inside a train compartment, but not the same compartment he was in; he is inside the reflection of the room in the window glass. As Dayas tries to understand the place, he suddenly begins to feel something inside him and murmurs softly:

"Wait, this is strange! I feel something new, I feel like... I'm blaming myself..."

Suddenly, Shiny appears beside him, responding:

"Yes, I know what you're feeling right now, and you will continue to feel it as long as you are in this world."

Dayas asks:

"What! Why?"

Shiny:

"I'm sorry, my friend, but you will have to find the answer yourself."

Daiyas then looks around, realizing the place, and says:

"Where is everyone?"

Shiny:

"Look again from the window."

Dayas looks out the window to find his body sleeping next to his brother, and Shiny laughs, saying:

"Hehe, I'll answer you before you ask another question... the body is not allowed here."

Then he adds while trying to remember, saying:

"Only two things are allowed, I forgot their names... they belong to psychology, I think."

Dayas:

"Heh, I thought I would meet my reflection or something similar."

Shiny:

_m"Oh, I hope you don't meet him right now, you won't like his reaction when he sees you."

Dayas:

"What do you mean? I really have a doppelgänger in this world!"

Shiny:

"Not exactly, the world here is complicated and quite illogical, I myself don't understand it, as this is only my second visit."

Dayas:

"So... what are we going to do now?"

At that moment, someone knocks on the train compartment door, and Shiny adds:

"The guide has finally arrived."

The knocker opens the door, and Daiyas is surprised to find that the knocker is his brother Scorby, but with an unusually cold expression on his face, and he asks:

"Scorpy! What are you doing here?"

Scorpy replies:

"I am not Scorpy, I am a resident of this place, and I have been assigned to guide you and inform you about the details of the mission."

Dayas, turning to Shiny:

"What mission?"

Shiny:

Ah, it seems I forgot to tell you, you have been summoned to this world at the request of its creator, and I have been tasked with bringing you here.

Scorpy interrupts Shiny:

"Okay, Mr. Shiny, let's not get into the details."

Then he turns to Dayas and adds:

"Dayas, do you remember that day when Shiny stole your feelings?

Shiny whistles as if it doesn't concern him.

Dayas:

"Yes."

Scorpy's counterpart:

"He left you with only one feeling, which is pleasure, right?"

Dayas:

"Okay, I think I'm starting to understand what you're trying to get at... After Shiny stole my feelings thirteen years ago, my shadow started moving on its own, as if it had its own idea."

Then he turns to Shiny, continuing his talk:

"I remember you left me with the feeling of pleasure at that time, which became the source of my reactions, I think... So, based on this, my father concluded back then that Alnidor is a manifestation of my pleasure."

Shiny interrupts him, saying:

"A manifestation! I know of other manifestations... but so far, no special classification has been created for them."

Dayas:

"What do you mean by classification?"

Shiny:

"There are specific classifications in our world, like the cosmic beings, for example, to which I belong."

Scorpy's counterpart:

"Let's not stray from the topic... Mr. Daiyas, please continue."

Dayas:

"Alnidor was very annoying in my childhood as he caused big problems for the family, so my father decided to make an agreement with him that I would not sleep more than six hours.

Shiny:

"Huh, strange agreement."

Dayas:

"My father knew that Alendor felt extremely bored when I was sleeping, so he made that agreement with him, and if I slept more than six hours, according to the agreement, Alendor would take over my shadow, and then the problems would start."

Scorpy's counterpart continuing Daiyas' words:

"And since your embodiment does not have a body, he decided to settle in our world because our world does not allow bodies to enter, but he not only settled there but also took over its eastern part and built his empire there, and he is now in the process of expanding."

Dayas continues Scorpy's counterpart's words:

"And my mission is to find a solution with him."

Scorpy's Doppelgänger:

"Well done."

Scorpy's Doppelgänger says this and then opens the train compartment door to find Dayas, who, after stepping out, sees that the train is moving strangely on a glass ground. Dayas looks around to find that the entire ground of this world is made of glass and everything in it is just a reflection of the real world's glass. At that moment, a transparent glass bus arrives, and from its window, Professor Morly's Doppelgänger appears, saying:

"Are you the guests?"

Dayas:

"Professor Quiz! I mean his doppelgänger... It seems your work here is better than the real one."

Professor Quiz's Doppelgänger:

"Oh, he is doing his best."

Then he turns to Scorpy and adds:

"Alnidor is near the door."

Scorpy's Doppelgänger, with his cold features:

"That's bad, we need to hurry."

The group soon arrives in front of a large blue door, several meters tall, which is the only thing there standing alone on the glass floor of that world, so Dayas remarks:

"So this is the important door we need to protect."

Scorpy replies:

"The good dream door, it is the foundation upon which everything you see around it has been built, and it is the only thing our ruler did not create in our world."

Dayas:

"What! Did your ruler create all this?"

Scorpy Lookalike:

"Sorry, but I can't answer any questions about our ruler; he wants to introduce himself to you face to face."

Shiny, astonished at Dayas:

"What! You seem to be an important person."

Dayas:

"But still, I am not aware of how Alendor managed to overcome you; I remember he was somewhat strong, but not to that extent."

Scorpy Lookalike:

"Alnidor's strength in the real world is not the same here; if our ruler wanted to erase him, he could easily do so."

Dayas, with a serious look:

"I would never let that happen."

The Scorpy Lookalike smiles slightly and replies:

"Well, I think I'm starting to understand why he's interested in you now."

Then he returns to his previous expressions and adds:

"But anyway, if you can't find a solution with him before he reaches the door, our ruler will have to erase him."

The Scorpy Lookalike continues speaking, suddenly casting a huge shadow over the place, and Dayas responds:

"I know what this means; it has happened before."

Dayas says, turning to the source of the shadow, to find another shadow that looks exactly like the one on the ground coming from afar, but larger with a wide evil grin, and he continues in astonishment:

"Oh ho ho, Alnidor wasn't this big when I left him last time."

Scorpy's Doppelganger:

"Alnidor is an embodiment of the highest desires and passions of humans, meaning he is the natural opposite of our desires. He has become an unstoppable monster the moment he entered here."

Dayas:

"What exactly do you want me to do?"

Scorpy's Doppelganger smiles at Dayas's question with a slight grin while interlocking his fingers, responding:

"We want you to engage in some diplomatic negotiations."

Dayas:

"Huh! And how will I reach his ears?"

Shiny:

"Ah, leave it to me."

Shiny grows larger to carry Dayas on his back, and as they soar through the sky towards Alnidor, Dayas asks:

"Why don't you convince him? You managed to persuade that octopus to leave, and it was much bigger than Alnidor."

Shiny replies with a laugh:

"Ha, I didn't convince that octopus of anything; I chose the easy solution and just threatened him."

Dayas thinking:

"Hmm, the solution does seem easier, but I will choose persuasion; it's more effective."

Shiny and Dayas soon arrive at Alnidor, and Shiny cautiously approaches his head, settling near his left ear, prompting Dayas to start conversing:

"Hey Alendor, it's me, the real Daius. Do you remember me?"

At that moment, Alendor stops walking and turns to Dayas, who continues speaking while scratching his head in embarrassment:

"Look, my friend, I'm sorry about that agreement with my father. I know he forced you, but as you know, I was really causing a lot of trouble. I burned my uncle's lucky wig, and to this day, he wants revenge on me. So let's just forget about that and be on good terms, okay?"

Dayas finishes speaking, waiting for Alnidor's response, but the latter slowly raises his massive hand, striking Dayas and Shiny and throwing them to the ground. Dayas then gets up, brushing the dust off his clothes while saying:

"It seems that dialogue won't work with him; I have to assert control by force."

Dayas says this and then closes his eyes, trying to wish for something, but nothing happens, prompting Shiny to alert him about something:

"Oh, it seems wishing is not possible here; that entity must be the reason for this."

Dayas:

"Which entity are you referring to?"

Shiny:

"It's the one who tasked me with bringing you here; he is also its founder."

Dayas:

"Do you mean the ruler?"

Shiny:

"Ah, yes. Why are you so full of questions today!"

Dayas :

"Shiny, it's time for the easy solution, take me to it."

Shiny takes Dayas back near Alnidor's ear and Dayas shouts this time at Alnidor threateningly:

"Hey Shadow, my dad says if you don't submit to me now, he'll put you inside the washing machine like he used to for three hours, with Grandpa's lucky socks that he hasn't washed since his team won when he was young."

Fear grips Alnidor at that moment, showing fear and anxiety despite his evil smile, and he shrinks to his normal size, hiding behind Shiny, prompting Dayas to laugh and add:

"Ha ha ha, that's why Alendor burned that wig back then."

Dayas continues speaking and then adds to Alnidor, saying:

"Okay, here's the new deal, I'll allow you to borrow my shadow in the real world whenever you want, on the condition that you don't bring me trouble, agreed?"

Alnidor thinks for a moment about Dayas's offer and then nods in agreement, at which point Dayas wakes up immediately and without warning in his room on the train next to his brother. Dayas looks right and left trying to remember what happened, but instead finds a classic black hat placed on his knees, and then he says to himself:

"I remember the thing about Alnidor and Shiny, but where exactly did that happen? Inside a dream... I think!"

Then he puts that suit in his bag, and suddenly Shiny responds from behind the glass saying:

"You weren't dreaming, did you forget?"

Dayas:

"What! What are you doing behind the window?"

Shiny:

"Behind the window! It seems he really played with your memories, or rather left you some of them."

Then he gestures with his arm to Dayas's suit, saying:

"Ahh, in any case, keep that gift; it is precious."

Shiny says these words just as Scorpy begins to wake up from his sleep, leaving the place and leaving Dayas in his confusion. Scorpy wakes up slowly, and his brother asks him:

"Hey Scorpy, how long have I been asleep?"

Scorpy replies, still drowsy:

"What! Were you asleep? But you just woke up!"

Then he adds as he returns to sleep:

"Well, the only thing I know is that I only slept for a few minutes."

Dayas then turns to the glass of the window beside him, staring at it, and says:

"It was a dream, without a doubt."
