Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6 : THE FIRST STRIKE

Location: Elarion Academy, Training Grounds – Midnight

The sky was quiet. Too quiet.

Kael stood alone under the moon, drenched in sweat after secret training. His fists were bruised. His breath shaky.

But his eyes…

They had changed.

No longer dull. No longer afraid.

Since that dream, since that song…

He felt something in him had awakened.

Suddenly…

A tear opened in the sky.

Not a portal. Not magic.

Something worse.

The air froze. The moon dimmed.

Kael stepped back, instincts screaming.

And then…

A man stepped out.

Draped in robes of shadows, silver eyes glowing, face calm—too calm.

> "Kael of the Faded Crest," the stranger said, voice smooth like death.

"By order of the Celestial Council… you are to be tested."

Kael's voice was quiet. "Tested?"

> "You are housing something that should not exist."

> "The gods wish to confirm… if the demon is truly back."

Kael's heartbeat slowed.

Azrion's voice echoed in his mind, dark and furious.

> "They dare…"

> "KAEL. Don't hold back."

> "Show them… even my fragments are stronger than their champions."

The Battle Begins

The assassin moved first—lightning-fast.

A blade of divine crystal slashed toward Kael's chest.

But this time—Kael dodged.

Perfectly.

Then he moved.

Faster than anyone had ever seen him move.

> BANG!

A single punch to the assassin's gut.

The ground cracked beneath them.

> "This power… it's not his…" the assassin whispered, blood at his lips.

Kael's eyes were glowing now. A faint dark hue pulsing from his symbol.

> "I didn't ask for this," Kael said, voice cold.

"I never wanted to fight. But if you come for me—"

"I will not run anymore."

> "I'm DONE being weak."

The assassin roared and summoned a divine weapon. He charged—

And Kael raised one hand.

Azrion whispered:

> "Let me show you…"

Kael's hand moved in a strange, forgotten pattern.

Ancient magic pulsed from his palm.

> "Demon Art: Echo of the Abyss."

SILENCE.

Then—

> BOOM!

A shockwave erupted.

The assassin was thrown through five walls.

Unconscious.

Kael stood, panting, his arms shaking.

His eyes were wide. Terrified.

> "W-What… what was that?"

Azrion's voice was proud… and quiet.

> "Only 1% of what we truly are."

> "And they already tremble."

Somewhere in the divine realm…

The gods looked down at the broken assassin.

The God of War growled.

> "He didn't even awaken fully. And he already defeated one of ours."

The Goddess of Fate whispered:

> "It has begun."

Back in Kael's Dorm

Kael collapsed to his knees.

Tears in his eyes. Fear in his heart.

But Azrion was there, as always.

> "You did well, Kael. You didn't break… You rose."

Kael whispered:

> "Why me…?"

Azrion answered:

> "Because even the forgotten can become legends."
