Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Innate Full Soul Power

The next day, Old Jack led Qian Yu to the Spirit Hall located at the center of the village. Of course, this so-called "Spirit Hall" was merely a slightly larger wooden house.

Because every person in the Douluo Continent possesses a Martial Soul, and children undergo Martial Soul Awakening every year, these Spirit Halls are common across the continent.

They function as local branches with varying degrees of importance.

Seeing this familiar building, Qian Yu felt a wave of nostalgia. In one of his past lives, he had also founded an organization called Spirit Hall. He wasn't sure if the current Spirit Hall was related to the one, he had established.

Back then, the Douluo Continent had been in chaos—disorder reigned between Soul Beasts and Soul Masters. Later, Qian Yu and a group of like-minded individuals came together to create Spirit Hall.

However, shortly after its formation, he reincarnated again and thus had no idea what became of it.

When he founded Spirit Hall, he had created an Ancestor Token, a Pope Token, and eight Elder Tokens. The Pope Token would be passed down from one Pope to the next, while the Elder Tokens were given to the eight great Elders.

The Ancestor Token, however, belonged solely to him.

Despite his many reincarnations, these key items had been preserved by the system. As such, the Ancestor Token remained in Qian Yu's possession.

Back then, Qian Yu had declared that whoever saw the Ancestor Token should recognize it as a sign—the founder had returned through reincarnation. Still, he had no plans to reveal the token just yet.

First, he wasn't certain this Spirit Hall was truly the one he had established. Second, with his current strength, even if he displayed the token, few would believe him.

He needed to wait until he became stronger. Fortunately, Qian Yu currently possessed ten Martial Souls, so becoming stronger was merely a matter of time. He was in no rush—his goal in this life was, as always, to become a god.

This year, eight children from Holy Soul Village were scheduled to undergo Martial Soul Awakening. From a distance, Qian Yu spotted Tang San among them. Just then, a young man walked out from the Spirit Hall.

He appeared to be in his twenties, with sharp brows, bright eyes, and striking features.

He wore a well-tailored white suit paired with a black cloak. On the center of his chest was a large character: "Soul."

This was the standard uniform of those working under the Spirit Hall. On the left side of his chest was a badge with three crossed longswords—this denoted his title as a Great Soul Master, a third-rank Soul Master. The swords also marked him as a Battle Soul Master.

"Greetings, esteemed Battle Soul Master. Thank you for coming all this way," Old Jack said respectfully, bowing deeply to the young man.

Qian Yu glanced at him.

So, this was the legendary Su Yuntao—also known as the "Blind Douluo." It was said that any child he didn't favor would end up becoming a god.

Qian Yu was curious to see whether Su Yuntao would favor him.

Su Yuntao looked over the gathered children and said calmly, "Let's begin."

The eight children stood before him. Tang San stood beside Qian Yu, but after sensing Qian Yu's cold gaze, he didn't dare speak.

Qian Yu knew that Tang San used hidden weapons and wasn't someone to trust lightly.

He could stab you in the back at any moment. From the beginning, Qian Yu had no intention of forming a friendship with him.

The young man gave a slight smile. "I am Su Yuntao, a level 26 Great Soul Master. I will be your guide today. I will now awaken your Martial Souls, one by one."

Then, Su Yuntao's expression changed.

With a deep shout, he called out, "Lone Wolf, body fusion!" A faint green light appeared at the center of his forehead and quickly surged upward into his hair.

His body instantly grew larger and more muscular, giving off a powerful aura. Two rings of light rose beneath his feet—one white, one yellow—circling slowly around him. The display was striking.

He clapped his hands, sending six streams of faint green light into six black stones arranged on the ground. Immediately, a golden glow radiated from the stones, forming a shimmering light barrier around the first child.

"Extend your right hand," Su Yuntao commanded. The boy instinctively complied, and the glowing particles surged into his palm. In the next moment, a scythe materialized in his hand.

"Tool Martial Soul. Unfortunately, no Soul Power. Next!" Su Yuntao announced with disappointment.

The tests continued one by one. Qian Yu was the last in line. Of the first six children, none possessed Soul Power and thus couldn't become Soul Masters.

Finally, it was Tang San's turn. Without waiting for instructions, he stepped into the circle of stones. As Su Yuntao infused Soul Power into the stones, a soft golden light reappeared.

In an instant, a Blue Silver Grass appeared in Tang San's hand.

"Blue Silver Grass? Another useless Martial Soul," Su Yuntao sighed. "Alright, next!"

"Uncle, you haven't tested my Soul Power yet," Tang San quickly said, noticing that Su Yuntao was about to put away the blue crystal ball.

Without turning his head, Su Yuntao said, "There's no need. I've never seen anyone with Blue Silver Grass who had Soul Power."

"Please, just let me try," Tang San insisted.

"...Alright," Su Yuntao replied, handing him the crystal ball.

Tang San placed his hand on the ball. Immediately, it lit up, glowing brightly with a dazzling blue light that radiated in all directions. The entire crystal seemed to shine like a sapphire, emitting a soft blue halo.

"Heavens! Innate full Soul Power?!" Su Yuntao exclaimed in disbelief, staring at Tang San as if he were some rare creatures.

Tang San looked confused. "Uncle, what is innate full Soul Power?"

Still dazed, Su Yuntao explained automatically, "The amount of Soul Power you have when your Martial Soul awakens is critical. The higher your innate Soul Power, the faster you'll cultivate. Innate full Soul Power is the highest level possible at the time of awakening."

"The highest possible?" Tang San murmured, clearly shocked.

"The highest possible?" Qian Yu echoed mockingly, a cold smirk forming on his lips.

"Next—my turn, isn't it?" His calm voice cut through the silence like a blade.
