Chapter 2 - Reincarnation into an urban world

Mu Won opened his eyes with a startled expression, gradually surveying his unfamiliar surroundings. The walls were patched, the furniture strange, and technology he'd never encountered filled the room. A faded red carpet, its once-vibrant hue now brownish, covered the floor. His gaze settled on his new mother—something he'd never known in the Heavenly Demon Cult.

"Beautiful," he murmured inwardly, while studying her features with wonder.

A middle-aged man entered without knocking, causing Mu Won's internal disapproval within mu won's mind. 'Does this man not have manners, how could he just walk into my mom's home'. He clearly deleted the possibility of him having a loving and caring father, as he always thought that all father's where like the demon lord.

The man approached Mu Won's mother, tenderly kissing her forehead before turning his attention to their conversation.

"Why the long face?" he asked, watching his wife's cheerful expression melt into one of sorrow.

" Am sorry I'm late, I went to repay of the loan, but it just increased again".

"It's alright honey, I honestly don't mind, we will pay it off soon enough"

As they spoke, Mu Won observed their expressions—both clearly worried yet maintaining composure for his sake.

"I see you brought a little man home! Have you given him a name?"

"No," his mother smiled warmly, gently stroking his face and arranging his hair. "I was waiting for you to name him when you returned.".

Mu won's young mother smiled while looking at him, she touched his face and arranged his hair in her arms

" Look at him, he's even more handsome than his old man, blue eyes, black hair, a really beautiful face, he's like the pinnacle of humanity in terms of beauty, he might even become a model once he grows up, I'm naming him Adam, adam heart. Is that alright honey?".

"Absolutely, that name fits him perfectly".

I like my new family, let's just see what this world throughs at me. From today, I shall no longer bear the name mu won since I now have a new name in this new world. Adam chuckled slightly showing hints of happiness.

"Look honey I think he likes the name". Adam's mother carried him upwards while smiling at him

"What can I say, I'm a naming expert". They both laughed and hugged each other.

A year passed, and I began school despite my father's concerns about my young age. My mother's desire for an intelligent son won the argument. As I learned, I discovered the stark differences between this world and my previous one—here, there was no cultivation base, no mystical powers. Instead, money ruled supreme, determining one's influence and status in society.

What divided the world was money, if a person was smart and beautiful it didn't have any effect in the society, money can easily buy everything, power, lifestyle, class money could by all those things, Celebrities, businessman, company owner's, they all had their power's and role in the society.

My family, though not wealthy, found happiness in their simple life. Yet I couldn't help but contemplate the futility of material wealth in the face of mortality. Unlike the cultivation world, where immortality was achievable through dedication and practice, death was an unavoidable reality here.

Life in this world is not as the cultivation world, were one could actually sit down in a cave and achieve immortality, in fact immortality in this world was just a mere dream, people die of old age and some time accidents.

By age ten, I had almost forgotten my wish with the philosopher's stone, adjusting to life on Earth with its unique challenges. The stark contrast between abundance and scarcity puzzled me—food was plentiful, yet not everyone could access it. In my previous world, cultivators could transcend such basic needs entirely, the didn't have need to sleep nor eat.

The where alot of greedy people who wanted to have more no matter how many people died. But I knew I was not born a hero, I would do the same thing for money if I was in their shoes, though I will still be Better than them, this people don't actually care about the wellbeing of their citizens at all.

I stayed in basin with my parents, basin was not a well developed or protected area, but thing's still went well. As I was not the one feeding myself at that moment.

Years passed swiftly, and at fourteen, I watched our family's situation remain stagnant. My parents aged prematurely under life's hardships, their faces weathered by stress and toil. This realization marked my transition to maturity. compelling me to take part-time jobs after school. With no extended family to rely on, I knew I had to contribute to the family.

"This is not the cultivation world, where everything you do is about yourself".

I started feeling sorry for my parents as I could see them getting older than their actual ages. The sun didn't have mercy on them, the society didn't smile on them niether.

I didn't have problems with my academics as always spent my leisure time on book's.

After my high school I turned 17 year's old and my father didn't have money to further my education. I was always happy that my parents were physically healthy every year.

I started looking for Job's but companies didn't want to accept me, the were all looking for an experienced person.

" How I'm I going to find experience if I don't work".

While looking for a place to work I had no friends I could ask for suggestions of work for myself, I had only one friend, but his situation was not better than mine.

As I was strolling down the street's I saw a well designed poster.

" An underground tournament, no weapon's only pure martial arts".

Though I didn't train my martial my arts everyday I had a study body, it was as if I moved big rocks everyday so I thought I had a chance.

Making money in this world was not easy, I applied for the underground tournament thinking I had a chance, I was eliminated on the semi finals and I was given ten thousand dollars.

I invested the money in a street stall and started a hot dog business.

Within six months I made one hundred and twenty thousand dollars, but I used fifty thousand to repay my parent's loan without their notice.

My parents where so suprised, when I gave them the good news, my dad cried out and started hugging me.

When I was in the heavenly demon cult, the demon lord didn't care for his children, he encouraged them to kill each other saying things like you can only rule with power.

" Mom, dad I will like to live alone now, I promise I will fine on my own".

"No, why are you leaving, are we not treating you well". Adam's mother was Josephine, she cared for Adam like a baby even though Adam was now 17 year's old she still saw him as a baby.

" Son I understand your wishes make sure to call us sometimes and don't get into trouble okay". Adam's father agreed with Adam immediately

" No, are you sending my baby away, I wouldn't allow it, please don't send him away honey". Adam couldn't stand her mother burst into tears, her love was genuine but Adam wanted to start a fresh life, and make it to the top on his own.

Adam begged her mother for hour's before her mother could allow it.

" Call me often okay, don't get into trouble, remember you can always come back if you're having trouble outside".

"Okay mother, I will do my best".

"Alright take care kid" Adam's parents wished him luck in the outside world, and prayed for his safety.

Adam who had a whooping seventy thousand thought his money would at least last four months, he left basin to start his business outaide the states.

He arrived and stayed at Shenzhen county, and while staying there he was hit with multiple reality checks at once, though his business was going smoothly, his house rents and daily expenses took almost all his money away from him.

It was now Adam's 21st birthday, and his parents called to wish him a happy birthday.

"Hello ma". A running stranger bumped into Adam while he was talking to his mother.

"Excuse me, sorry for bumping into you I'm late for work".

{0days:0hrs:0mins :06sec}

Adam's eye opened wide, the where a pair of numbers that was shown above the man's head.

{5}

Booooooom.

"It's an accident, hey somebody just got hit by a bus, call an ambulance". A man from the street shouted.

Adam now turned his eye to look at his surroundings, he was in shock as he could see the time where People will die.

{ 57 years : 4 hours : 6 mins : 22 second's}

That was the lifespan that was left of a woman with a baby, he turned around again and looked at a child that was with a football across the street.

{82 years : 2 hours : 20mins: 5 second's}

"I can see the time, how's that possible, I thought that the wish did not work because the philosopher's stone destroyed itself ".

[ The master's first wish was to create an organisation, so I was instructed by the phylosopher stone to only awaken your talent when you're 21 year's old]

" Who's are you"

[I'm Uriel, Uriel of knowledge]

"Are you something like a chat Gpt?".

[ If you're comparing to a chat GPT, you could say I'm a god of chat GPT]

"What else can I actually do, is it that I can only see time".

[ You can slow down time by 50 times and speed up time by 50 time's, you can collect lifespan of other people through contract's and give It out to others through contract]

[you can normally collect lifespan from everyone without contract's, but contract's is to tell the other person that you have collected their lifespan]

Adam's eyes opened with excitement, " with this, I can definitely....become rich, I just had a spontaneous idea, let's just start by getting rich, yeah let's do that".
