New Frontier Universe, Solar System.
As the sunset's glow entered the fleeting moment, night fell like a giant curtain covering all clamor. Looking up, a bright full moon hung high above this blue planet.
The natives of this planet once thought the moon was unreachable in the sky, but when they developed the ability to truly observe the universe, they discovered that this celestial moon had always been by their side.
At this moment, a silver-red being hovered on the lunar surface, equipped with silver armor resembling solar panels on his chest and a sharp blade embedded in his forehead. His piercing eyes emitted an orange-yellow light, with eye markings as thin as grains of rice.
Who was he?
He was Universe Observer No. 340, Ultraseven. Seven from the Land of Light.
"I never thought I'd come here one day." He only knew of this universe from the Land of Light's historical records.
This universe was the Dexter Universe, also known as the New Frontier Universe, personally recorded in the Land of Light by Ultraman Zero after ten warriors defeated Etelgar.
Before arriving on the moon, Seven had already seen the Mars metropolis spanning over three million miles, complete with rigorous defense facilities.
Seven deliberately concealed his presence. The New Frontier Universe differed from other Ultra universes—humans here had truly pioneered the entire Solar System and ventured into space.
Scanning the surroundings, Seven discovered obvious battle traces on the moon and the human lunar base engulfed in flames. Workers in dark blue uniforms were collecting debris from the destroyed base. As for Ultramen, Seven found no traces of their presence.
"No clues," Seven murmured, turning toward Earth. "Let's check over there."
Earth, Tokyo City.
On the giant screen at Tokyo Times Square, a news report was broadcasting:
"Three days ago, the TPC Lunar Surface Base was inexplicably destroyed, with no images recorded by current radar systems. According to TPC officials, they have detected ten-meter humanoid footprints on the lunar surface, suggesting that an Ultraman, who disappeared years ago, may have been active near the lunar base. Currently, it's confirmed that no one from the base survived, and even recording footage is missing. The TPC spokesperson stated they will continue investigating the truth behind the lunar base destruction."
In the crowd, a middle-aged man removed his sun hat as the scorching sun poured down like boiling water. His eyes penetrated the sunlight, fixated on the television screen.
Shin Hayata—the name Seven used when transformed into a human—had become an indelible mark he would never shed.
"Three days ago... Zoffy didn't tell me exactly when this happened, but the timing should be about right," he thought. "This means the three Ultramen who disappeared on the moon likely have a direct connection to the base's destruction. Did they send a message to the Land of Light because they couldn't protect the lunar base?"
Hayata sat on a sunlit bench pondering these connections. Finally, he stood up, deciding to directly approach Earth's leadership to understand everything.
TPC Far East Base.
Ryo Yumimura wouldn't normally be here; as captain of the Mars Super GUTS, she had rushed back after the lunar incident.
"An Ultraman destroyed the lunar base?" Ryo asked incredulously, her long hair falling forward in shock.
Earth Super GUTS Captain Anzhu Masayuki sighed, "According to audio transmitted from the lunar base, they were attacked by Dyna. Ultraman Dyna, Asuka Shin."
"Impossible! Dyna left nearly sixteen years ago! How could he suddenly attack us?"
"Nothing's impossible..." Anzhu tapped the table, bringing up a virtual display showing an audio file. "I suggest you face reality, Captain Yumimura."
The conference room darkened, with only the central control panel illuminated. The audio began playing, filled with tremors, crumbling sounds, and chaotic conversations.
"Lunar Surface Base under attack! Requesting support!"
"Can't send it out! There's strong electromagnetic interference!"
Amid consecutive explosions, someone reported: "Equipment Storage No. 1 has exploded! Activating backup power and anti-electromagnetic systems!"
After more explosions: "The logistics warehouse also exploded! Oxygen circulation system has stopped, prepare to evacuate!"
"Who's attacking us? Monsters or aliens?"
After a minute of running and explosion sounds, someone exclaimed: "A beam? Purple-rainbow colored beam? With a dark red sine wave at its center? An Ultraman?"
After a brief silence: "Captain... is that Dyna?"
"Yes... no! This Dyna... evacuate quickly! He's trying to capture us!"
In the chaos, the captain shouted: "Why! Ultraman Dyna, what are you doing?!"
"Take this, it contains the anti-electromagnetic system! Send it to the nearest... AHHH!"
Finally, someone took the device, trembling: "Ultraman is the enemy! All bases be warned! I am Hanagumo Shikano from the Lunar Base, former instructor at the TPC Training Academy, transmitting with an anti-electromagnetic interference device."
Amid heavy breathing and collapsing sounds, the recorder continued: "Ultraman is no longer our ally, he destroyed our base in just two minutes! Don't trust Ultraman!"
A massive explosion ended the recording.
After listening, Ryo collapsed into her chair. Anzhu asked, "For various reasons I haven't made this public, but as someone who had the deepest contact with 'Ultraman' back then, what do you think?"
Despite the damning evidence, Ryo firmly stated: "This couldn't be Asuka's doing. It must be..."
"It's aliens causing trouble," an abrupt voice interrupted.
Both turned to see a middle-aged man standing at the doorway, immediately drawing their weapons.
"Who are you?!"
"Hayata Shin."
