Chapter 3 - 2. Training

Crom Cruach POV

After the wave of enthusiasm died down, I decided to learn more about my new student. Silence's story didn't take long. The only thing he could tell me was his meeting with Ophis, which happened less than an hour ago. However, after hearing what I heard, I was able to understand what seemed strange about him from the very beginning of their appearance. His behavior is absolutely abnormal.

Silence has multiple memory lapses, especially everything related to his past identity. However, this does not bother him at all now. He acts too calmly. Also his relationship with Ouroboros. According to him, he managed to see Ophis's true appearance, but after the initial reaction, all fear disappeared somewhere.

I watched with undisguised surprise as this couple did not separate for several hours. They literally stuck to each other, trying not to break physical contact. His aura can somehow block "noise", and when in contact with Ouroboros, this property is transferred to it. In general, it is surprising that he suffers from the same problem as Ophis. It seemed to me that she was the only one who heard the incomprehensible noise.

Questioning Ophis herself answered most of the questions that arose. The snake Ouroboros, which she left in the soul of the youth, after being processed into energy had its effect. The newborn dragon was literally drawn to the embodiment of infinity, giving a sense of security. That is why he so easily stopped being afraid of the giant monster and does not feel a threat from the evil dragon. Alienation and indifference are also the influence of a particle of infinity, but this will pass. Once the dragon instincts wake up in his body, the puppy will become more energetic and inquisitive.

- Hey, Ophis, - I distract the attention of this couple from examining my house. - Show me the place where you found the puppy.

- The puppy? - emotions began to appear in the boy's voice. That's good. I don't want to mess with an emotionless doll. - My name is Silence.

- Yes, a puppy. You've just hatched and don't really know how to do anything. You're only a dragon in name, so until you learn anything, you'll be my puppy.

He frowned, instinctively baring his fangs and growling softly, but did nothing else. Good.

- Why does Crom need to visit that place? - Ophis asked with her usual serenity, watching our squabble.

- I want to see with my own eyes. Perhaps I'll be able to learn more about Sai and his past.

Especially his unusual ability to discern the true essence of others.

- Sai? - the girl asked in confusion.

- Well, Silence, - as if I had to explain to a child. - Short for Sai.

- Okay.

Once there, it immediately became clear that we were in some kind of research facility. After wandering around the building, I was able to find scientists' notes under a layer of dust. I don't really understand all this magical crap, but the most basic things were understandable. The mages were looking for a descendant of a special wizard of the past and after a long search they found him. Of the entire family, only a child with signs of the magical eyes that they needed survived. After long experiments, during which the boy's personality was damaged, he awakened the "Eyes".

Judging by the broken notes, during the final experiment, the balance breaker Silence awakened and thereby attracted Ophis. Well, and with the appearance of Ouroboros, she destroyed everyone, turning the young man into a dragon.

"We can go back," while I was studying the notes, these two were just wandering around.

Finally, I decided to completely destroy this complex, erasing all possible traces and records of my student. We do not need annoying midges trying to get Silence's unusual eyes.

"Since you have only recently become a dragon, we will start from the basics," as soon as we returned back, I decided to immediately begin training the young man. "We, dragons, are the strongest creatures, the embodiment of power. Everyone fears and respects us, even the gods. We are proud, free, evil and selfish. You can go wherever you want and do whatever you want. But!" Seeing how my words find a response in his soul, I cool the ardor of the puppy, "only the strong can do this, and now any weak bug will kill you. You must become more powerful to confirm the righteousness of your actions by force. It does not matter that you are on someone else's territory, if you can beat up its owner. It doesn't matter if this thing was previously in someone else's hands - just take the treasure for yourself. Remember that!

- Yes! - the guy responded enthusiastically. - Strength above all else!

- Okay, now let's begin your training, - I teleported us to the middle of the forest. - In order to gain strength, you need to eat well, so now you will go alone and get yourself some food.

- And what food do I need to find?

- Meat! Naturally, first you will need to track down and kill your prey, otherwise you will remain hungry.

- Okay. I will do so.

- And finally, - I stop the dragon who had already started to leave. - All the animals in this place have magical properties. Be careful or you yourself will become food.

- And you will stay here, - I grab Ouroboros by the shoulder, who was about to follow the guy.

- Why? I want to be with him.

- You yourself wanted me to make him stronger, - having received a nod in response, I continue to hold her in place. - So, for him to become stronger, you should not constantly hang around him. He needs to learn to cope with difficulties on his own, otherwise he will remain a weakling hiding behind your back.

- ... okay, - it took her some time to agree to such a condition. - But I will not allow him to be harmed!

- The main thing is not to interfere until he is in mortal danger. The wounds will serve as an excellent lesson for Silence.

END Crom Cruach

***

An explosion thundered. The noise of a phenomenon that had become commonplace over the past year spread throughout the area. Another clash between a young man and a young male ended in the former's undisputed defeat.

Crawling out from under a pile of rocks where Crom had kicked him, Silence silently cursed his teacher. For many days, he had been beaten under the pretext of sparring. Broken bones and severe wounds had become commonplace for the young dragon. However, he could not blame his trainer for this. Each time, he felt that he was becoming stronger. According to the evil dragon, "pain is the best teacher. Especially for a puppy like you!"

- Grr-r! - As soon as he remembered that impudent lizard, he landed next to him.

- What's wrong with you, young man? - the man asked mockingly. - Are you really offended by another loss?

- Shut up! — Although he was used to such provocations, he could not ignore Krom's taunts. — Aren't you ashamed to be proud of your victory over a young dragon, old man?

— Ha-ha-ha! Of course not, — the dragon approached the student carelessly and helped him out. — Trampling presumptuous youths face-first into the dirt is the job of the older generation.

— I don't give a damn about such an older generation, — the young man muttered when Ophis appeared next to him. He took the girl's hand with a familiar and unconscious movement. — Listen, Krom, I'm already tired of constant training. I want a day off!

— Wow! — the evil dragon exclaimed in surprise. — It's amazing that you lasted a whole year before deciding to take a rest.

— Well, so what?

— Of course. You can go wherever you want, — the man dismissively waved them away. — tomorrow is your day off.

"Thank you," Silence replied with a smile. "See you later."

Since awakening, the young dragon had been able to remember many things from his previous human life. Over the past year, Crom Cruach had told him a lot about the supernatural world he now found himself in. With so much information in his head, the young man was eager to experience what it was really like.

The fact that all memories of his previous identity had disappeared from his memory did not bother Silence at all. After all, he had a new name. And the one who gave him it and a new life was now next to him. He had little idea how he should treat the girl and their relationship. She, the Infinite Dragon God, was one of the two strongest beings in the entire world. That was how his teacher had described her. Remembering the first moments of their meeting, Silence completely agreed with this. All the power he felt then fully corresponded to the title Ouroboros.

However, after that, he had never felt such awe and power from Ophis. The girl who spent all his free time next to him, and only occasionally disappearing in an unknown direction, does not cause him any fear or desire to bow his head. The young dragon felt her presence next to him throughout his new short life, holding her hand or hugging her during sleep. In this way, he helped her get rid of the omnipresent noise and enjoy peace.

During the moments of training his dragon aura, when he completely depletes it, this cacophony of all sorts of sounds fills his brain. Although he had to endure it for a short time until he recovered. Silence could hardly understand how Ophis had lived with something like this for so long before. Therefore, he is happy to help her find silence. Well, to be honest, the young man simply cannot imagine life without her by his side.

- Any ideas where we should go? - Another feature of his companion that the young dragon discovered was her laconicism. To his question, the girl only shook her head, letting him decide. - Then our stop is Rome!

Silence decided to visit the only place he remembered well. Having appeared on the outskirts of the city, the couple began to slowly stroll along the crowded streets. The young man looked around with interest, while the girl simply followed him. Passing by the shops, the dragon remembered that he needed money. No one was going to part with their goods just like that, and the young man did not want to attract attention by using magic or intimidating people.

The solution to the problem was found quickly. A large amount of money was kept in the bank, so, having found the right place, he used his unusual eyes. Having examined the structure of the building and unexpectedly discovered magical protection, Silence teleported them to the right place. The dragon instinctively felt what needed to be done to disable the spell located here. Following his feelings, the young man directed his aura into one of the elements of the magic circle. Some of the symbols simply disappeared as soon as the external force touched them.

"It's done," Sai was happy with his small victory. "Office, can you create us a backpack each, like the ones we saw in the store."

"Uh-huh," exact copies of the indicated items appeared in her hands. "Here you go."

"Thank you," having received what he needed, he began to deftly fill the backpacks with bundles of various bills. "Wow, gold."

Among the shelves with cash, the dragon's eyes fell on a small pyramid of gold bars. The thirst for treasure rebelled inside the young man, but he suppressed the raging instinct, promising himself to start saving his treasures next time.

Having filled their burden with money, they left the vault, unaware of the presence of cameras that captured their entire prank.

In high spirits, Silence asked passersby for directions to the best hotel. Quickly reaching the indicated place, he approached the reception desk.

"Good afternoon," the girl clerk greeted them with a smile. "How can I help you?"

"Your best room."

"Okay," the girl's smile did not even waver, seeing the behavior of the man in front of her. She looked through the necessary information on the terminal. "There is a free suite. The price for one night is 8700 dollars. Will you take it?"

The woman expected that the announced price would knock the arrogance out of the impudent boy, but she could not imagine that he would take out a whole wad of hundred-dollar bills.

"Okay," Sai simply put half of the stack in front of her. "I will also need your help with some things."

"Yes, yes," her attitude instantly changed, it was worth imagining a generous tip. — Of course, I will help you, dear customer.

— I want to buy two of the best phones, but I don't have time to go to the salons. — the second pile landed on the table. — Can you buy it and deliver it to your room?

— Don't worry, the order will be delivered to you soon, — the clerk assured him, raking in the cash under the envious glances of her colleagues. — But first, I need your documents to finish registering the room.

— Write it down as Silence Ouroboros, — the eyes of each employee dimmed when magic was used on them. An excellent trick against ordinary people, which Crom Cruach taught him. — Also, deliver the entire menu to our room in two copies.

— Will do, Mister Ouroboros.

— Thank you.

An hour later, the young dragon lay on a huge bed, hanging out on his new phone, while Ophis sat on his lap and enjoyed the desserts she liked with a smile. Already ordered for the fourth time. While traveling through the vastness of the Internet, Silence found their next destination. The best amusement park in this city.

Gradually, under the weight of new emotions accumulated during the day, the young man fell asleep. Having eaten all the sweets, Ouroboros decided to ask for more, but found the guy asleep. Not wanting to disturb his peace, Ophis refused a second helping. Putting the empty saucers aside, she lay down next to him, clinging tighter to her silence.

Comment to 2. Training

We should not forget that the main character is mentally just a child. All illogical actions and impulsiveness are the result of Silence's "maturity". After all, many people in childhood had different cool ideas after watching TV and other things, and here the main character got it, so to speak.
