Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: The Unexpected Encounter

Mia stands in the eerie forest, her head still reeling from the overwhelming confusion of what just happened. The forest is silent, save for the faint sounds of distant animals and rustling leaves. Then, in the silence, she notices something moving in the distance. Her heart skips a beat as she pointed her flashlight something pink and round approaches her.

---

[ FOREST – NIGHT]

Mia stares in disbelief as the creature emerges from behind a tree. It's a pink, round Pokémon, with large ears, a pouch on its belly, and an expression of curiosity. The creature steps closer, its soft feet making almost no sound. The moonlight shines off its smooth skin, making it seem almost ethereal. Mia blinks several times, her mind still struggling to understand what she's seeing.

"What… What is that?"

"Chansey Chan?" Said by the creature in a gentle, curious tone

Mia stands frozen, her mouth dry, her breath shallow. Her mind is racing, trying to make sense of the situation. The creature before her—this pink, egg-shaped creature—it looks so familiar. Then it hits her, a memory from her childhood.

"No… it can't be... Chansey?" She mutters is disbelief

Her voice quivers as she remembers the Pokémon from the anime she used to watch when she was a little girl. A friendly, healing Pokémon—Chansey. But it doesn't make sense. How is it here? What is going on?

Mia steps back, unsure of whether to approach or run. She feels a sense of vertigo, the world around her still spinning from the collision with the truck. Her heart races, and the realization of her current situation—wherever she is—makes her dizzy.

"Uh... Hello?" She croaks

Mia's voice trembles. She feels like she's caught in a bizarre dream. Her thoughts spiral as her heart pounds harder in her chest. And she's thinking frantically

'Am I hallucinating right now? What the hell is going on? Is this some kind of joke? A dream? No, no way! This can't be real! '

Her thoughts are overwhelming, and suddenly, she doesn't notice the trembling of her hands. Her breath quickens, and panic sets in. She feels like the walls are closing in, like the ground beneath her is shifting, and her vision blurs. The panic attack hits her hard—tightness in her chest, dizziness, and an overwhelming fear that she can't shake.

Mia gasps for air, but the breaths don't come easily. Her heart races faster, and she feels like she's suffocating, she gasping and desperate.

"I... I can't... breathe..."

Her legs begin to shake, and she feels her vision swimming. The anxiety, the confusion—it's all too much. She feels like she's losing control. But then, suddenly, she feels something warm touch her arm. Something gentle, like a soft pressure against her skin.

Mia looks up, startled, and her panic falters for a moment as she sees Chansey standing beside her, its large eyes filled with concern. The Pokémon's soft hands are resting on her arm, and its gentle expression offers a comforting presence.

Chansey's pink body radiates a calming warmth, and Mia feels a soothing pulse emanate from the creature. It's like a soft wave of energy that seems to melt away the tension in her chest. The panic attack begins to subside, her breath steadier, her heart rate slowing.

whispering, still in shock "W...what...?"

Chansey continues to look at her with kind, worried eyes, as if understanding her distress. Mia feels the warmth of its touch, the healing energy washing over her. She has to blink several times to fully grasp the reality of the situation.

"Did you... do something?"

Chansey gives a soft, reassuring nod and takes a step back. The gentle energy around Mia intensifies for just a moment, before gradually dissipating. Mia feels a weight lift off her chest, her breathing now calm and steady. The world around her no longer feels like it's closing in.

Mia blinks again, still trying to make sense of everything, but for the first time since waking up in this strange place, she feels a small sense of relief. She looks at Chansey, her voice still shaky.

"..You... did you help me?"

Chansey nods again, its eyes full of compassion. Mia tries to gather herself, rubbing her forehead as she sits down on a nearby rock, still holding the strange bag she's found earlier. Her mind is overwhelmed, but now she's more focused on the creature in front of her—Chansey.

"I don't... I don't understand. Why am i here? What's happening?" She mutter softly still bewildered

Chansey tilts its head slightly, then looks around the forest, as if considering how to respond. Mia notices that Chansey's behavior what she would have imagined, considering it was always portrayed as a gentle, caring creature in the anime. Now, it seems to be more than just a character from a TV show—it feels real. And it's offering help in a way Mia never expected.

Mia slowly stands up, taking a cautious step toward the Pokémon. She feels a strange sense of trust in it now, despite the surreal situation.

"I don't know what's going on... but... thank you" she said gratefully to the Pokémon.

Chansey chirps softly, and as if to offer reassurance, it gestures toward the forest ahead, as though inviting Mia to follow. Mia looks at the path ahead of her, wondering what lies beyond the trees, but something in Chansey's calm, kind demeanor urges her to trust it.

Mia whispering, more to herself "Maybe… maybe I'm not alone in this"

The forest feels a little less intimidating now, the strange weight on her shoulders lightened.
