Chapter 2
Alvina stood in front of the large door and rang the doorbell.
After some time, an elderly servant came to open the door and ushered her in.
Alvina walked into the luxurious mansion and sneered. Even though the Mayler family wasn't the richest in Country V, they were still a wealthy family and were doing quite well in the business world.
Alvina refused the sit that was given to her and chose to stand up, she wasn't here to have a chat with them. She simply wanted money or better things from her mother's things.
"Can you inform the Mayler family they have an important visitor??" Alvina said to the servant and she nodded before leaving.
Minutes later, the family came down to the sitting room, all dressed in luxurious clothes.
"Is this the important visitor we have, why are you dressed So poorly??" Janet Mayler, her step mother mocked but Alvina remained calm.
She wasn't here to argue.
She walked to her father who stared at her in disdain and she didn't know whether she should cry or laugh.
"Dad, mom's at the hospital, I need 10 million for her surgery, she's your wife and I hope you won't leave her to die"
Even though 10 million was a huge amount of money, it wasn't too much for the Mayler family but the fake expressions on their faces, it seemed like she was asking for their lives.
"10 million?? Who do you think you are? Do you know how hard your father works and you just show up all of a sudden demanding such a huge amount" Janet Mayler yelled as she pointed her luxurious fixed nails at Alvina.
Alvina laughed and crossed her arms on her chest.
"I'm my father's legitimate daughter and my mother is his legitimate wife unlike a Mistress like you who still wears millions of clothes from my father's money, now between you and my mother who deserves my father's money??"

Janet couldn't believe Alvina's words. She had schemed So hard to become the wife of Andy Mayler, yet she was still a Mistress since Andy hadn't divorced Grace.
She despised Grace and Alvina Soo terribly.
Alvina sneered at Janet's ugly expression and faced Andy.
"Dad, are you giving the money or not"
Andy frowned and rubbed his chubby fingers on his potbelly, seemingly in deep thought.
Seeing his appearance, Alvina couldn't help but wonder what exactly her beautiful mother saw in this fatty.
Afraid Andy might give the money and save Grace's life since she was the love of his life, Janet quickly pulled her daughter Juliet to the front.
And stared at Andy with fake tears.
Andy, look at Juliet and me, you promised us you would give us a complete family and have nothing to do with Grace and her daughter, if you don't care about me, at least think about Juliet's feelings, you know how bad Grace treated her.
Janet knew Juliet was Andy's soft spot, since she saw sweet and delicate, so she saw him using it against him.

Andy still found it hard to believe Grace maltreated Juliet. Back then, he was deeply in love with Grace but she couldn't bear him a child
As a man, he needed a child who would inherit his properties so he went out to have fun with Janet.
Months later, Janet showed up at his doorstep with a bulging stomach, she was pregnant.
He was overjoyed and quickly bought an apartment for Janet. The deal was to take care of her until she gave birth, then she would give the child to him and leave.
But Janet got used to the luxurious life and didn't want to party with it. After she gave birth to Juliet, Andy paid her a huge amount of money and she promised never to show up before him.
Andy took Juliet home, for Grace to raise.
Years later, Janet returned after she had squandered the money she was paid and demanded to have her daughter back or become his mistress.
Andy loved Grace so he couldn't let Janet in but after some time, Janet was going crazier, threatening to inform the police, which could affect Andy's work so he had no choice but to bring Janet into his home.
Months after Janet came home, Grace began to fall sick. Her sickness deteriorated day by day making Grace look unattractive.
At that time, Janet began to look attractive as she took good care of herself. As a man, Andy began to see Janet differently and started developing feelings for her.
Grace was his first love and she treated Juliet properly, Andy began to feel guilty about his affair with Janet.
But one day after work, something unexpected happened.
Andy came home to find Juliet laying down in a pool of blood with several wounds on her body.
The sight was gruesome and Grace was sitting beside her, her hands holding a piece of glass covered in blood and she kept muttering,
"I did it, I did it, I hate her so I did it"
From that day, Andy's perception of Grace changed completely. After Juliet survived, Andy drove Grace out of the mansion and made Janet his woman even though they aren't legally married because he is still attached to Grace.
Years later after Grace went to the countryside, he heard she was pregnant with Alvina.
Janet knew from Andy's love for Grace that he loves delicate, soft and Kind women.
That was why she raised Juliet to be like that even though her daughter was far from that.
Andy took a deep breath and sighed.
"Did Grace really do that to Juliet back then??" He asked.
He had his doubts, Grace was a kind and soft woman, he couldn't believe she would do something like that.
Janet bit her lip in frustration and Juliet knew what she had to do.
She tugged at her father's shirts with her soft hands. Juliet had a delicate body, with very fair skin and soft cheeks and palms. Now with tears in her eyes, she looked particularly vulnerable.
Andy sighed and patted her daughter's head. Juliet slyly lifted her arm, showing a large scar from the wound of that night.
Andy's expression immediately hardened and he slapped Alvina hard, not seeing the wicked expression on the face of the mother and daughter.
Alvina frowned and brushed her fingers on her swollen cheeks.
She couldn't believe Janet and daughter were so good at manipulating Andy but she didn't give up.
She smiled bitterly and stared at her father. Ever since she was born she has never felt the love of a father and she didn't know if she wanted it anymore or not.
"Dad, I'm your daughter too, why can't you love like you love Juliet" she whispered her heart aching.
Alvina was slim and her face was pale. She looked vulnerable right now but no one cared.
"You.. how dare you compare yourself to Juliet " Andy yelled.
"Give me my mother's belongings, the ones locked in the basement, I could sell them and pay for her surgery, you don't have to give me your money," Alvina reasoned out.
Andy stared at her and liked the idea but Janet quickly intercepted.
"Which belongings, there's nothing there, your mother took everything with her when she was leaving "
"You heard her, your mother's belongings aren't here " Andy told Alvina and she almost lost it.
Her mother clearly told her she left her belongings behind but Janet was greedy and wanted to have all to herself.
This was her mother's last hope, her only way to get the money.
Anger filled her heart and she lunged at Janet demanding for her mother's belongings but Janet pushed her away and slapped her.
Alvina cried and begged but to no avail. She wiped her tears and cursed, her eyes red and her face pale, looking like a vengeful spirit.
"If anything happens to my mother, I'll make you pay with your lives"
Her voice was clear, she meant every single word.
Her mother was her world, if she died because of their refusal to give her money, she would make them pay in unthinkable ways.
At that moment, fear gripped their hearts as they watched the little girl walk out.
