Gu Yuena was holding her phone as she looked at the text from her mother she rolled her eyes but she let out a bitter sigh who cares it has been so long the time she came here she was belittled. Her junior brother Song Hua followed Gu Yuena outside as he looked around China.
"Senior Sister this place is beautiful."
"Mmm we will be going to Uncle Jiang Shen place for two nights," Gu Yuena said. Jiang Shen was a man she saved three years ago ever since that man has helped her out so she told him she was coming to Shanghai.
"Mmm alright sister!"
"Meow," Morchi said. Gu Yuena looked at Morchi before she threw him in Song Hua arms. The cat looked at its master pitiful.
Morchi {Master is so moody no wonder she has no man}
"Morchi!"
Morchi turned its head.
Gu Yuena walked towards the hotel with Song Hua and Morchi in tow. As they entered the lobby, a familiar face caught her eye Jiang Shen, the man she had saved three years ago. He was standing by the reception desk, looking handsome as ever in a tailored suit.
"Gu Yuena!" Jiang Shen exclaimed, his eyes lighting up as he spotted her. He walked over, a warm smile on his face.
"It's been too long. I'm so glad you could make it."
He glanced at Song Hua and Morchi before focusing back on Gu Yuena.
"And who are these lovely companions?"
Gu Yuena felt a flutter in her chest at Jiang Shen's smile, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside.
"This is my junior brother, Song Hua," she said, gesturing to the boy. "And this is Morchi, my cat."
Jiang Shen nodded, his gaze lingering on Gu Yuena for a moment longer than necessary.
"Uncle Jiang Shen can we stay at your hotel?" Gu Yuena asked she put her hands in her pocket her words weren't long but they are also indifferent as she talked.
"Sure sure I will give you two the presidential suite," Jiang Shen said and Gu Yuena nodded her head. Song Hua whistled and grabbed Gu Yuena hand as they walked handed in hand toward the elevator. Jiang Shen was respectful toward his savor she also the same age as his two kids how amazing is they but with Gu Yuena personality being friends with her and his two kids it's like asking the gods and goddess to walk among mortals.
As they rode the elevator up to the presidential suite, Song Hua couldn't contain his excitement.
"Wow, senior sister, this hotel is amazing! And we get to stay in the presidential suite? I can't believe it!"
Gu Yuena just nodded, her expression remaining stoic. She was grateful for Jiang Shen's hospitality, but she wasn't one to get overly excited about luxury accommodations. Morchi, on the other hand, seemed unimpressed. He sat in Song Hua's arms, his tail twitching lazily.
When they reached the suite, Jiang Shen opened the door and gestured for them to enter.
"Please, make yourselves at home. I've had the staff prepare some refreshments for you."
Gu Yuena stepped inside, her eyes scanning the lavish room. It was indeed impressive, with a large living area, a spacious bedroom, and a luxurious bathroom. She set her bag down on the couch and turned to Jiang Shen.
"Thank you, Uncle Jiang Shen. You didn't have to go through all this trouble."
Jiang Shen waved his hand dismissively.
"It's no trouble at all, Gu Yuena. You saved my life, remember? I'm just repaying a debt." Jiang Shen's eyes softened as he looked at her, a hint of admiration in his gaze.
"Besides, it's not every day that I get to host a goddess in my hotel."
Gu Yuena's eyebrow twitched at the compliment, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. She quickly looked away, trying to hide her reaction.
"Don't be ridiculous, Uncle Jiang Shen. I'm just a normal person."
Song Hua giggled, finding the exchange between his senior sister and Jiang Shen amusing. Morchi, however, seemed to sense the tension in the air. He jumped out of Song Hua's arms and padded over to Gu Yuena, rubbing against her leg affectionately.
Jiang Shen chuckled, breaking the moment.
"Well, I'll leave you to settle in. If you need anything, just call the front desk. I'll have someone bring up your luggage shortly."
With a final nod, Jiang Shen exited the suite, closing the door behind him. Song Hua turned to Gu Yuena, a mischievous grin on his face.
"Sister there is an auction happening we should go!"
"Annoying," Gu Yuena said but Song Hua who is eight years old was not bothered he knew his senior temper better then anyone else.
"I will treat you to food!" Song Hua said.
"Ok," Gu Yuena was a gluttony just like her pet Morchi.
"The auction starts at midnight we have six hours to do whatever we want."
Gu Yuena sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"Fine, let's go explore Shanghai. But don't expect me to be excited about this auction."
Song Hua clapped his hands, his eyes sparkling with joy.
"Yay! Let's go, sister!"
Morchi meowed, jumping onto the windowsill. He looked out at the bustling city, his tail twitching with curiosity.
Gu Yuena grabbed her phone and wallet, shoving them into her pocket.
"Alright, let's get this over with. But first, we need to find some decent food."
The trio exited the hotel, stepping out into the vibrant streets of Shanghai. The city was alive with energy, the neon lights reflecting off the wet pavement from the earlier rain. Gu Yuena led the way, her sharp eyes scanning the area for a suitable restaurant.
After a short walk, they stumbled upon a small, cozylooking eatery tucked away in a alley.
"Sister this place is called the All Kind Of Hot Pot in English!" Song Hua said. Gu Yuena who looked at him she nodded her head as she put Morchi on Song Hua head.
"The most spiciest hot pot what is it?" Gu Yuena asked and took off her mask. The waiter eyes widen she is so pretty the woman asked.
"I want just spicy," Song Hua said. Morchi let out a meow,
"Same thing that my brother is getting for my," Gu Yuena said. The woman still looked at Gu Yuena she is so beautiful like a goddess!
The waitress blinked, snapping out of her daze at Gu Yuena's beauty.
"Ooh, of course! Our spiciest hot pot is called 'Dragon's Breath'. It's made with a special blend of chili peppers and other secret ingredients. It's extremely hot, even for those who can handle spice."
Gu Yuena smirked, a glint of challenge in her eyes.
"Bring us two of those, then. And some beer."
The waitress nodded, scribbling down the order.
"Right away, ma'am. Would you like any additional dishes or sides?"
Song Hua shook his head, his eyes wide with excitement.
"No, thank you. Just the hot pot and beer is enough."
As the waitress walked away, Gu Yuena leaned back in her seat, her gaze drifting around the restaurant. She noticed a few patrons staring at her, their eyes filled with admiration and curiosity. Gu Yuena ignored them, focusing instead on the task at hand preparing herself for the spicy challenge ahead.
