"What, you want to eat these?" he said curiously.
At the mention of this, the undead looked him straight in the eye, nodding.
"Oh so you understand me when I speak," he said as he laid the cores of the beasts he had collected on the ground. "But you never wanted to make me understand... Hmpf, you're really a bad guy, but here, go ahead, eat the ones you want anyway I don't need them."
He had a total of nine cores. Among them, only two were Rank F, the others were Rank E, especially two of them were at the pinnacle of Rank E.
Drae'mon immediately bit a core, one of the largest. It belonged to the leader Putorius. Without thinking he swallowed it.
After that, nothing.
It did not look different in any way. It was always resting on four legs, pitch-black bones, fangs protruding from its mouth and sharp claws to finish the look.
"That's it? You don't want any more?"
The skeleton shook his head, indicating that he was fine like that.
"Hm, okay then, we can go, but I won't forget another time to update your statistics."

"No way, that's what has changed. You got a new ability," Jeremy said with shock.
"This doesn't make sense, are you sure it's legal? That absurd blessing wasn't enough, now there's also this."
"You can eat Core and get the abilities of other monsters--"

"this ability, like the other two, has also mutated into something stronger, not to mention the fact that it now does 200% damage, it also has a Knockback effect"
"Well, with this absorption ability I am much more confident in facing any future challenge" a smile escapes the boy's lips.
"As for your attribute points--I'd better keep developing it in physical power, especially now that I know I'm facing a Rank D beast."

After wandering for some time...
A towering tree with a large hole in the center of its trunk filled Jeremy's view. its inner walls were smooth, covered with soft moss, and the air circulating through it was cool and welcoming. it was the ideal shelter for Jeremy
He also needed to eat, so he lit a fire and put some of the beast meat he had collected from the monsters earlier to cook.
"I have to hurry up and put out the fire, I can't risk attracting trouble."
Fortunately, nothing went wrong.
After eating he slipped into the tree and dozed off instantly, not before giving Drae'mon orders to stand guard and wake him up in case of danger.
---
After an unknown time, a yawn watered Jeremy's eyes.
He struggled to get up from where he had been all that time, regaining some strength.
"Hell, it hurts all over me," the boy complained. The place where he had slept, while nice, was not the best after all.
"Hey Drae'mon, did something happen while I was gone?"
The skeleton shook his head, indicating that nothing had gone wrong.
"He's becoming more expressive, before he would just look at me. I wonder if he will be able to talk..."
"Good," Jeremy said after doing some exercises to stretch his muscles.
"This place always stays the same, it never gets light and it never gets completely dark. That plays a little bit in my favor, fortunately."
"The only thing I want to do now, besides finding a Rank D beast to do Rank Up, is to find water. I want to wash myself, I really stink."
The stench of everything he had experienced before combined with the stench of sweat from running around and fighting all day challenged Jeremy's sense of smell.
---
They started walking in a random direction and after what seemed like hours he finally noticed something.
A group of three Putorius stood around playing with each other. They were all at Rank F lv1 and didn't notice the duo watching them carefully at all.
"Hm, I need to evolve, no use killing these weak beasts, however I could follow them," thought Jeremy.
"Maybe they can take me to the other members of their family."
In doing so, Jeremy waited patiently for these beasts to move to go somewhere else.
An hour passed.
Then another.
Then another...
...
"I can't take it anymore, please do something," a frown formed on Jeremy's face, but nothing. The beasts were there playing with each other, fighting and jumping around. They looked just like puppies.
"Okay that's enough now, if you don't want to move I'll make you move."
And with that thought, a Bone Spear formed in the air next to Jeremy and flew with incredible speed toward one of the three monsters.
"-100"
A value of damage hit little Putorius, who despite being swiped on purpose by Jeremy, still ended up dying.
"10 exp gained"
"Damn, I didn't want to kill him. But whatever, I still got what I wanted."
The death of their comrade marked the faces of the remaining two monsters, who shrieked and ran away without looking back.
Without knowing it, the two monsters were being chased by two shady figures.
After a half-hour of furious running, the two monsters, who had been shrieking and running the whole time, stopped exhausted.
This left Jeremy speechless.
"Where are the reinforcements?" muttered the young man.
"Damn, I've only wasted time-"
A loud shriek struck the surrounding area.
The two monsters, who until a short time before seemed exhausted, jumped up and screamed, heading toward the roar.
"then it wasn't all for nothing, we have company...let's go Drae'mon."
And so the two of them also headed toward the loud roar.
The monster that roared also seemed to run toward do them, or rather toward the two frightened Rank F monsters.
And so, after a few minutes, out came he, a Putorius much larger in size than any beast the boy had seen. It seemed to be at least two meters tall and just stood there on two legs. For a moment fear gripped his soul, but he forced himself to remain calm and not make a sound.

The abilities were simple, but made the enemy formidable, especially considering that he was a good two tiers above Jeremy and Drae'mon, making his attacks much more lethal unlike them, which would deal much less damage.
"What luck, that's just what I needed. I thought I could deal with such a beast, but the reality is quite different ... a simple blow could take me out."
"Fortunately I don't need to expose myself, I just have to rely on you, dear friend," Jeremy said as he looked with a strange smile at the skeleton.
He intended to send him off to fight alone, not that he would make a difference anyway.
So after making sure that the area had no other monsters besides the three in front of him, a plan emerged from the young man's mind.
The plan was very simple.
Jeremy needed to be still and waiting, helping only if extremely necessary.
Drae'mon would take care of everything else.
Simple and foolproof. Perhaps.
"Are you ready?"
With a nod, the skeleton fearlessly advanced forward.
