Chapter 2 - The Tower and the Fallen Heroes

Date: 19/12/2022

After the disaster that shook the world, many people began to awaken to unimaginable power. These individuals were chosen by the Gods, becoming Saints, each connected directly to one of the seven divine beings who had descended from the heavens. The Gods' names were known far and wide:

1. Ebisu – God of Prosperity

2. Daikokuten – God of Wealth

3. Benzaiten – Goddess of Life

4. Fukurokuju – God of Wisdom

5. Hotei – God of Luck

6. Bishamonten – God of Warriors

7. Jurojin – God of Dreams

These divine powers turned their chosen Saints into legendary figures, worshiped and feared. But amongst all of them, one man stood apart. Hiroshi had not been chosen by any god. His power was not a blessing—it was a result of his will to survive, to protect, and to fight for those he loved. The world had witnessed Hiroshi's strength grow to rival even the mightiest Saints. Yet he remained untouched by divine favor, a rogue force in a world of chosen heroes.

For years, Hiroshi and Nagi had fought together against the monsters that ravaged the Earth. They had become legends in their own right, battling side by side through countless dangers. The world knew of them, but Hiroshi's unique status set him apart. Despite his immense strength, Hiroshi never became a follower of any god. He was a wild card—untamed, unshackled by divine control.

But fate had different plans. The Saints were each assigned territories to protect, and as their roles grew, so did the distance between Hiroshi and his friends. Nagi, still by Hiroshi's side, had also grown stronger, but their paths began to diverge. The Saints were needed elsewhere, and Hiroshi and Nagi were left to face the world on their own.

Three Years Later:

Now twenty years old, Hiroshi and Nagi had both matured into formidable fighters. Their bond had only strengthened, despite the years and the battles that had shaped them. The world, however, had not grown any safer. The Tower, a colossal and mysterious structure, had loomed over humanity since the day of the disaster. It was said to be the greatest danger in the world, a place filled with monsters of unimaginable strength. It was rumored that the Tower appeared on the very day of the catastrophe, its arrival marking the beginning of humanity's darkest hour.

The Saints had long considered the Tower a threat that could not be ignored. So, on December 19, 2022, the Saints and 17 L-Class heroes, including Hiroshi and Nagi, were summoned to assault the Tower and rid the world of its horrors. Hiroshi's name had become synonymous with victory, especially after his countless solo battles against Red-Class monsters. He had defeated them alone, gaining the respect and admiration of even the Saints—who were hesitant to face such creatures without help. Hiroshi's feats were spoken of with awe, but there were whispers of jealousy, particularly among the Saints and the L-Class heroes.

The Reunion:

As the team approached the Tower, Hiroshi and Nagi reunited after two years of separation. Standing in front of each other, their words were heavy with the weight of time.

"I never thought I'd see you again," Nagi said, his voice mixed with a sigh of relief. "It's been too long, Hiroshi. How have you been?"

Hiroshi met Nagi's gaze with a tired smile. "I've been surviving, like always." He paused, glancing down. "I've seen too much... lost too much." His voice faltered slightly, but only for a moment. "But you? I thought you'd be leading the charge by now. The Saints must be proud."

Nagi chuckled lightly. "Not as proud as they should be." His tone was self-deprecating. "But enough about that. You... You've been through hell, Hiroshi. It's not just the battles, is it? It's everything you've lost. I know you're still carrying that pain."

Hiroshi's gaze hardened. "I don't need to talk about it. I don't want anyone's pity." His hands clenched into fists. "I just want to keep fighting. To make sure no one else suffers like I have."

Nagi nodded, understanding more than Hiroshi realized. They both carried the weight of the past, but they chose to move forward. The bond between them, stronger than any divine blessing, kept them tethered to the path ahead.

The Tower's Challenge:

Got it! Here's an expanded and more organized version of your script, with a touch of fun and personality added:

When the team of Saints and L-Class heroes finally reached Floor 25, their spirits were high. The Saints, ever full of confidence, exchanged playful banter, certain they were unstoppable.

"At this rate, we could take on a Black-Class monster and still have time for a snack!" one of the Saints joked, grinning widely.

Another Saint chuckled, "Yeah, right! Maybe even a cup of tea afterward. We're basically invincible at this point!"

The L-Class heroes, while more reserved, couldn't help but smile at the Saints' infectious enthusiasm. After all, they'd been through countless floors together, and their teamwork had always gotten them through.

But, just as their laughter echoed through the hallway, the air shifted—something was wrong. A low, guttural growl reverberated through the walls, silencing the joking immediately.

One of the L-Class heroes squinted into the dim light. "Did you hear that?"

Before anyone could respond, the floor seemed to tremble beneath their feet.

A massive figure emerged from the shadows—a towering Black-Class monster, its glowing eyes like burning embers. It stepped forward, each footfall sending vibrations through the entire floor. Its name was whispered in awe, even fear: Astaroth.

The Saints' faces froze, their earlier bravado evaporating in an instant. "Uh… maybe we'll stick to floor 24 next time," one of them muttered under his breath.

Another Saint, trying to maintain his composure, added with a nervous laugh, "Okay, okay, so maybe not a Black-Class monster… but we've totally got this, right?"

The L-Class heroes exchanged knowing looks. This was going to be more challenging than they'd anticipated.

Astaroth's deep voice rumbled as it spoke, "You've made it far, but you will not pass beyond this floor." Everyone shocked because a monster speaked but still trambed because of Astaroth's aura alone was enough to make even the strongest of the Saints falter. But Hiroshi stood tall. He didn't hesitate for even a second.

"I'll handle this," Hiroshi muttered, stepping forward. Nagi tried to reach out to him.

"Hiroshi, wait! This is a Black-Class monster! It's too dangerous!" Nagi's voice was filled with concern.

But Hiroshi didn't look back. "I've faced worse. Stay back, Nagi. Let me do this."

The battle was fierce, lasting for hours. Hiroshi, fueled by raw determination and anger, clashed with Astaroth. His fists landed blows that shattered the creature's armor, but the fight wore on him. Meanwhile, Nagi tried to intervene, but Astaroth's power was overwhelming, and he was knocked unconscious before he could get close.

Still, Hiroshi fought on—alone.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Hiroshi delivered the final, crushing blow, defeating Astaroth. But in the aftermath of the battle, as Hiroshi stood victorious, his body covered in blood, a shadow fell over him.

He was stabbed from behind.

The Betrayal:

Before Hiroshi could react, the traitor struck. One of their own, a member of the team, had taken advantage of the chaos to stab Hiroshi. The coward, seeking glory for himself, severed Astaroth's head and fled the scene, leaving Hiroshi bleeding and weakened.

The betrayer, along with a group of conspirators, fabricated a story that would deceive the world. They claimed that Nagi and Hiroshi had perished during the battle, and that the Saints had defeated the Black-Class monster together.

The truth was buried. The Saints sealed the Tower, and the world was told that the two heroes had fallen in the fight against Astaroth. Even the Gods, who watched from afar, believed the lies.

The world thought Hiroshi and Nagi were dead. The Saints and the gods believed it too. They sealed the Tower with a new pact, placing a new hero, Kaius, as the next L-Class champion to keep watch.

But Hiroshi and Nagi were not dead.

They were trapped, hidden deep within the Tower, their fate unknown. The world would never know the truth.

"What will happen to Nagi and Hiroshi??"
